I think we haven't heard anything from LE because some aspect of this case betrays a fine line of a pledge

Clearing people is more complicated that it would seem. Someone might not fit the physical description of the suspect portrayed in the video, and so the police could say "We have established that person 'X' could not be the person in the video because he is too tall." But that doesn't mean that person 'X' was not involved in the crime somehow.

This particular crime is an enigma. Let's say the police know for certain who the suspect in the video is. Did he/she act alone? Was it a conspiracy? How many people were involved?

So they might be able to answer the first "who" question, but they want to answer the other questions before they make a move.

Oh I agree with you 100% Bill and I know MPD doesn't want to charge anyone unless the can nail the entire case down. That being said I believe if the could rule someone out they would publicly state so.

perp stood around reading bullentin board before crime

Does that signify anything to you? Someone interested in the congregation or groups that meet there?

Usually what is posted on a church bulletin board is newsy stuff about church activities, welcome to newcomers, Sunday School artwork, and/or Bible verses.

It would be quite illegal for the cops to do that in the United States.
Really? I gave gone through seemingly random roadchecks here in NY State, Upstate in the Catskills. We ask what's the road check for and never get an answer. We hear about them upstate and take alternate routes. Common around the drinking holidays.

IMO, the police were ABUNDANTLY clear at the presser last Friday that they have not named any suspects or persons of interest, nor have they ruled out anyone at all.

Now, this statement by the police could be absolutely true at face value, meaning they still don't have any idea who committed the crime.

OR, they may have people in mind but they want to put that person (those people) at ease and lull them into thinking the police aren't on their tails.

Only the shadow knows.

^^ I just sang that line. But you're right and often failure to say who is not a poi is interesting in itself.

I found another picture from her page that is INSDIE the church (under the Holy Grounds wall) from Jan but it has a ton of people in it so I don't feel right posting it even though she has it on her public page. THIS for 1 creeped me out b/c I recognized it from the killer video and 2 tells me that anyone who has worked out with her before knows her routine for the workouts as well as the layout of the church.

IMO IMO IMO

That part of the video creeped me out. It's almost as if they looked up and slowed down because they recognized the sign from the picture on her FB page.

Could have been confirming what time the class was set to start.

The churches website does not make mention of CG classes there so I don't know if anything on a bulletin board inside church would either? On a diff topic, has anyone seen where authorities have been able to establish whether vest came from manufacturer with POLICE on it vs being applied by someone, say as a patch? Store bought vs homemade is my question?

I seriously think the bulletin board inspection was done to buy some time ....all this little weird stuff is quite a distraction and that I believe was the intent....the more I think about it and last night it was hard for me to sleep, I came to the conclusion that this was a pre mediated murder. Something made the perp(s) freak.......I also think the event is obvious but the timing of the murder threw a lot of of other variables in it which caused a freak show in regards to the multiple theories that have been discussed......

I like lists. This one is with the assumption the murder was a targeted crime against Missy, not another crime interrupted.

* Perp knew when Missy would be at the church.
* Perp possibly (probably?) knew Missy's husband would be out of town.
* Perp dressed to conceal identity and possibly to prevent injuries to self.
* Perp arrived well before Missy, wandered around bldg, yet was at the right place in the church to ambush her when Missy arrived.
* First camper arrived about 15 minutes after Missy did. (Is that right?), which was about 25 minutes early for class.
* Perp committed crime and disappeared without being seen by anyone or by any camera (as far as we know). No traces left behind, such as clothing or weapons (as far as we know).
* 911 was called at 5am, the time class was to start.

Perp knew teenage daughter wouldn't be at class with mom.

My hunch (and it's only a hunch) is that the vest came with the word POLICE on it. I think the entire outfit was pieced together from a mishmash of items, but I don't think anything was homemade.

JMO.

I wonder why Missy would need to be there 45 minutes before class? Surely doesn't take that long to set up, I wonder if she typically arrived 45 mins before each session. Maybe she planned to do some exercise of her own before class started. Maybe she arranged to meet one of the campers there a little earlier. Hmmmm.

Random question for those with LE connections: do police officers take their uniform home at the end of a shift, even "specialised" uniform like SWAT or riot gear or whatever? Also, would an ex-cop get to keep his uniform when he left the force?

What video are you referring too? I haven't seen the footage where the suspect looks directly at the camera or slows down to read a bulletin. The video I watched was the official one released by the police Dept and only shows the person walking, an attempt to jimmy a lock and that's it. Thanks.

There are too many moving parts to clear anyone this quickly, I believe. Does anyone know if the Midlo P.D. has made any warnings to the public to beware, lock your doors b/c there is a mad-man or woman on the loose? I have not seen any warnings like this.

Not that I'm aware of....and I live in Midlothian as do several of my family members and friends. I also have children that attend MISD. No warnings....

Yes, that is another good point.

Missy seems like the type to arrive early and be ready before her students arrived. That seems in character.

But, that wouldn't be a "given" for anyone to know - that seems like insider information to know that the trainer shows up very early.

JMOPINION.

We would need to know Missy's normal patterns with getting her classes ready to know if she normally arrived so early. According to this link, she was still unloading her truck when she was killed.

Bevers was still unloading equipment from her gray F-150 pickup truck when she was killed inside the church building.
