If it were up to me I'd be out on my hands and knees scouring that island inch by inch on every single square of land until he was found. I'd enlist an army... He HAS to BE SOMEWHERE!

The Jersey police, as my late Mum would say 'don't seem to know there a'rse from their elbow' :(

34 vehicles should not be hard to track down unless they have left the island

I don't think they know which cars they were - I'm pretty sure Thistle Grove is where the CCTV is from, and as it covers the gate (not the road) I would guess they only know that headlights went past.

Basically, I think they haven't got a flippin clue what happened to Adrian. That's not a criticism - only time will tell whether the searches have been thorough enough.

I'd still like to know whether the driver whose name was put forward has ever been questioned. And also the car full of lads. Another press update please, Bergerac & Co...

"They are still appealing to the driver and/or passengers of a vehicle spotted on the road opposite David Hick Antiques at around 12:20am, speaking to a man believed to be Adrian.".................................it is not clear whether this is the silver car which has been mentioned before.

Reportedly there is a team of four police officers from Guernsey drafted in to to help a team of four Jersey police led by Inspector Steve Langford in the search.

The last time anyone to my knowledge went missing in Guernsey was two years ago, and little ever came of that other than the opinion that the poor lady was depressed and had drowned herself in the sea. Before that I cannot actually think of a missing persons case.

Taking into account most of the police officers I've seen in Guernsey look rather young it doesn't instill much confidence.

Yes, the lady you speak about was Gillian Sarahs....she is still missing.

Don't know how to put it in quotes - but FOUR officers only !!! I'd read 2 were drafted in from Guernsey, but only four from Jersey searching !

Are they really able to search thoroughly? It is a very small area they've earmarked to keep public searches out of. I only compare other searches for missing people and half a dozen police officers sounds a paltry amount. I do not mean to criticise the SOJP, but lost dogs are less important imo (from their f/b page)
Apologies if I have said anything unacceptable, just despair.

I believe that there has been many more officers searching over the past 2 weeks..............."Sixteen days of extensive searching involving specialist sonar equipment, sniffer dogs, 10 local and three visiting agencies have failed to find Adrian Lynch."

On reflection I'm not actually sure if the Guernsey police are any longer involved now that the search has been scaled down.

@Jessie - underneath each post it says "reply with quote", so you just click that, type underneath the

Yep thanks, I can do that but sometimes want to clip the post, and still can't manage multiple quotes. Just me getting het up at times.

As long as the [/Q U O T E] are at each end you can snip out anything in the middle. And multi quote still eludes me too so I kinda gave up!!

Damn...the police seem so defeated and baffled as to how he vanished into thin air after the CCTV footage.

Just read the timeline press release from yesterday and something new I didn't know: http://www.jersey.police.uk/news-appeals/2015/december/search-for-adrian-ongoing-investigation/

08:40 – Mobile phone and wallet found

10:30 – Belt found

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I read that Adrian wasn't reported missing until later on Saturday afternoon/evening? I guess if the mobile/wallet and belt were recovered 6 and 8 hours after the CCTV then I assume members of the public found them and handed them in. I'm just a bit puzzled about the belt, though.

About the 2 Guernsey/4 Jersey officers...They are just the senior detectives which would be normal/fine. We know there were 70 police personnel from various departments at one point plus whatever public/non police resources they've used. Although SOJP have been upfront about bringing in resources from Humberside police they also have had a blood dog from Hampshire police for example.

That is another thing that puzzles me about the belt - how do they know it was his belt? Did they take DNA from it?

I don't know. Like you say, DNA or a unique personal/designer buckle or may be from photos from the works party that night?

It is the being found (by who?) at 10:30 AM Saturday morning that puzzles me if he wasn't reported missing until later on Saturday. Do you know when/what time he was reported missing, Magneto?

That's a good question? when was it he was reporting missing? Did he live on his own or with parents? I take it he may have been reported missing the next day at some point just don't know when

*Based on 70 staff per day, working on average 12 hours a day for nine days (Sunday – Monday - searching in its current form began properly on Sunday 6th as Adrian wasn’t reported missing until late Saturday)

I don't know what to make of it!?
