Well spotted indeed :)
Or it could be the same tent seen on the opposite side of the road on previous shots. You can't get the view to see if that is there at this time. They could be one and the same, but just moved? They are very light and portable e.t.c.

Plus what days are these shots taken? The shots on Christmas day are snow covered and blue sky's, these are snow free, but very foggy weather. This looks like Boxing day to me during the thaw, or possibly later. The body was lifted out by the fire brigade on Chrismas day. It can't be under the tents on these photos then.

I don't know when the shot was taken, a tent was at the snow scene at one point by the photo, it is possible it was moved over the other side of the road, or vise versa, or there could have been 3 tent's.

Phillb, I just looked again at the picture, tent no 1 has an area of the colour navy at the bottom of the tent, tent no 2 also has an area of the colour navy at the bottom, but tent no 3(snow scene) is pure white no navy colour at the bottom.

So tent number 3 (snow scene) was not moved to the other side of the Road, but tent no 1 could have been.

It's very confusing indeed. What exactly was under those numerous tents, even when the body was moved? There are countless pics to show forensic Police working by the Quarry gates, then just past the boulder, a little further up, and elsewhere. The whole thing seems very wide spread. The search obviously coves a wide area, but the white suit forensics certainly were busy in a wide area too.

This seems to be the same type of model tent. Not sure if it makes any difference, but thought i'd post it anyway :)

They take 15 seconds to put up apparently.

It was for me earlier but it's behind a pay-wall now. Could you check out the end and see what Patticake refers to (drivers going past/through the "real site"?)

I watched the video again and I can see what Patticake is referring to. To me it appears that the two vehicles go up the lane to turn as the first car starts to turn to the left near the entrance to the quarry just before it reaches the police cordon/vehicles.

The video ends just as the lead car is swinging to the left, so can't really tell if it was turning round, or just swinging around the police vehicle.

But something that is noticeable in the third part of the clip. One of the group is clearly using a mobile phone, so that confirms that there is definitely a signal at Longwood Lane (something that was queried earlier).

Detectives are seen talking to the assembled relatives prior to them departing.
Both vehicles (Jo's family in the first and GR and his brother in the second) drive up Longwood Lane and before they hit the police tape veer left into the quarry entrance presumably to do a three point turn to head back out of the lane in a southerly direction.

This may have been a shrewd move by the detectives to get tyre tracks of the vehicles in situ in the only viable location a vehicle could do a three point turn in that narrow country lane.

Btw, for those talking about mobile reception earlier, a detective can be clearly seen conversing on a mobile as he walks from beyond the brow of the hill into view and back down Longwood Lane.

For all the talk of tents and snow and Harry Potter it is clear the body deposition site is not at the quarry entrance.

After the ceremonial laying of flowers by the family in view of the media at the south end of the quarry entrance they are escorted beyond the police tape over the brow of the hill closer to the actual site.

The police tape stretched across Longwood Lane protecting the scene is clearly beyond the northern limit of the quarry entrance which ties in with initial media reports of the body found slumped by a wall.

This wall is only evident either side of the lane north of the quarry entrance, protecting traffic from the drop to the cutting below.

When François Villon asks, in his poem, "Mais ou sont les neiges d'antan?", I can tell him: the snows of yesteryear are right here, being discussed on this thread, page after page!

Lol if I ever have need of a police tent I now know where to go

I just happened upon this. Not a new article but the right hand sidebar has an interview with the couple who lived in JY's and GR's flat before they moved in.

a two-bed flat in Clifton, Bristol, next to the one that murdered Jo Yeates later rented.

If accurate, then it is the other flat, VT's flat, that they rented. So that confirms that CJ is the owner of both.

Three flats - two containing murder suspects (one charged) and a murder was committed at the third. CJ's tax return conversation with his accountant should be interesting one then..where it comes to explaining depreciation and a decrease in income for this year...
