Presumably part of the reason for the earlier footage by the Prosecution is because the youth’s defence will use it to show that it’s credible that he thought they were fly-tipping.
It doesn’t strengthen the prosecution case but is less damaging than a defence narrative of them being selective with what they present

If he was walking behind JC, and Logan’s arms could be seen to be crossed over his shoulders, I don’t think that defence will stand up.

Clearly, AW accused an innocent woman on 31 July 2021 while still at her home and Logan's body being recovered -- AW even gave investigators the woman's photograph. This is not to be confused with the date all three were taken into custody for questioning where the innocent party was no doubt already cleared.
True.

But did AW know that?
I doubt Police would inform her of anything.
Besides, all of them (the woman too) might have been interrogated at the same time.

When I hear about AW's vile crocodile tears in court, I just shake my head.

Police officer describes finding boy's body 'submerged' in river

28 Feb 2022

An apparently distraught Williamson reported Logan missing at 5.45am on July 31, accusing a woman she did not like of kidnapping him, the court was told.

0_JS258541620.jpg

Williamson’s 999 call and the faked search for Logan were described by Ms Rees as a “callous” and “elaborate” attempt to cover up the trio’s role in his death.

[..]

PC Matthews was taken to Logan’s bedroom and the bed was still in the room but there was no bedsheet on the bed.

He said: “When I was searching in the room Angharad Williamson was in the doorway and told me he was wearing a Spiderman set of pyjamas…

“I looked under the bed, around the bed, pulled one of the curtains to look at the window and window sill. The window was open an inch to two inches, it was the right-hand side…

“Williamson asked: ‘Why is the window open?' I asked her if she closed it and she replied to me she didn’t know.”

PC Matthews said he was taken to the back of the property and searched the garden.

He said: “The external back door was fully opened and the key was in the door… I asked [Williamson] why the back door was open and she said to me she didn’t know.

“She informed me [a woman] would have taken Logan.”

[..]

“I asked her if the door was locked and she replied: ‘I don’t know’.”

The officer’s colleague PC Hibbs asked Williamson for the name of the woman she accused of taking Logan and she provided it along with a photograph.

At this stage the officer was made aware a boy had been found in the river by Pandy Park. He attended the scene and saw CPR being carried out on a boy.

PC Matthews set up a cordon and was approached by John Cole and the youth.

He said: “I told them we needed to return to the address so my supervisor could speak to them. I escorted them back to the address.”

IMO, Officers knew straight away that the innocent woman accused by AW did NOT have Logan, and probably cleared her even before AW was pretending to be the distraught mother at hospital.

But then AW gives the phantom abductor a window off ramp by saying........

PC Matthews said: “I asked why the window in his bedroom was open and asked if it was locked. She said she didn’t know if it was open and they had been airing out the room as he had Covid and the back door was open.

Video footage is played to the court of PC Lauren Keen discovering Logan Mwangi in the river and his body is visible on the footage.

Angharad Williamson is sobbing in the dock as the footage is played.

This would really rile me, I think, if I was in the courtroom. Reading about the court seeing footage of Logan lying in the river and the police officer running to him to save him, like a mother, and reading that his actual mother who already knew he was there, is sobbing through this, hit me like a punch in the gut. She is actually still performing innocence for the jury, IMO.

She must have been praying police wouldn't go in his room and spot that stripped bed before she could get the sheet back on!

Quote from earlier in the trial (post #908, page 46):
During a phone call to her mother in prison, Williamson said a blue sheet from Logan’s bed was missing.

The boy was placed on a stretcher and driven in an ambulance by Mr Hopkins to the Princess of Wales Hospital where he was taken to the resuscitation department.

Mr Hopkins completed paperwork in the ambulance when he saw the woman screaming in her garden entering the hospital.

He said: “I recognised her because of her hair colour. She walked into the hospital and began to scream.”

This behaviour was so contrived. Turning the screaming on and off like a tap. Why wasn't she screaming when Logan was really dying? Why no call to 999? Why was she watching Youtube?

Quote from earlier in the trial (#937, page 47):

"On July 31, at 12.36am the light comes on in Logan’s bedroom, the light goes off at 12.38am.

At 12.41am, the light comes back on again and at 12.42am the light goes off.

At 12.46am YouTube is accessed.

At 1.21am, the light comes on in Logan’s room, at 1.22am the light goes off.

At 1.23am, YouTube is accessed.

At 1.49am the light comes on again, and at 1.50am it goes off.

At 2.08am, the light comes on and at 2.10am it goes off.

At 2.14am YouTube is accessed.

Light goes on and off at 2.21am and at 2.22am the light comes on and at 2.30am a light comes on at the flat above.

At 2.43am, John Cole and the youth can be seen walking up the side path.

Cole is carrying Logan’s body, they turn right at the end of the path.

At 2.46am, a light in the flat above goes off.

At 2.48am, light in Logan’s bedroom goes off."

AW 'tucked' LM into bed the previous night, he must have been wearing his dinosaur PJ top then, so how come she reported he had his 'Spidey' PJ's on at 999 stage, if she'd been asleep through all this?

Wonder how she's going to explain that?

MOO
Why couldn't he have been wearing the spiderman top the night before? I haven't read anything about when she changed his top.

The sheer callousness of the patterns of the light going on and off is staggering..its almost as if they were waiting for him to die then as soon as he had they removed him ...there are no periods of the light being on for a prolonged period as you would expect if a child was unexpectedly found dead.

My thanks goes out to all these first responder witnesses. These people cared more for Logan in his death than the three disgusting defendants ever did when he was alive. These horrible selfish defendants, by trying to save their own asses, have forever ingrained awful memories for these wonderful officers and paramedics.

Trial resumes on Tuesday, March 1
The trial resumes.

Prosecutor Caroline Rees QC asks for a short piece of CCTV footage to be played.

The footage shows John Cole and the youth defendant in Lower Llansantffraid shouting for Logan. They can also be seen entering Pandy Park.

Another piece of footage shows the same defendants walking in the opposite direction where they continue to shout “Logan”. This takes place between 6.13am and 6.17am on July 31, 2021.

Defendant was 'on her knees shouting someone had taken her baby'
The next live witness is PC Russell Hibbs.

On July 31, 2021, PC Hibbs was on duty with PC Ryan Matthews and at 5.50am was asked to attend Lower Llansantffraid following a report of a missing child.

He was told the child was mixed race and wearing a set of Spiderman pyjamas.

The officers arrived at 6am and PC Hibbs activated his body-worn camera.

He was met by Angharad Williams. Describing her, he said: “[She was] emotional, crying, on her knees shouting someone had taken her baby.”

The officers entered through the front door and began a search.

PC Hibbs said: “I did a general search, under the bed, through boxes looking for a missing child…

“[In Logan’s room] The mattress was screwed up, no bottom sheet, curtains were open, there was a stain on the bed, and the window was opened two inches.”

The jury are shown pictures of Logan’s room and the bed.

Defendant blamed a woman for Logan's disappearance
PC Russell Hibbs, who is giving evidence about the morning Logan Mwangi's body was found, said Angharad Williamson blamed a woman for Logan’s disappearance.

He said: “At one point she was saying: ‘She’s taken my baby’ and mentioned a name.” The officer gives the name to the court.

PC Hibbs added: “My colleague asked her if the back door was locked and she replied: ‘I don’t know’... When asked if it was open she said it was open.”

Prosecutor Caroline Rees QC said a message was received that a child was found in the river and PC Hibbs attended the scene. He said he didn’t pass on this message to Williamson.

Ms Rees said: “Did you see a washing machine or tumble dryer?”

PC Hibbs said: “One or the other was on and spinning. It was to the left of the door. I’m going to assume it was a tumble dryer because it was away from the water supply.”

The officer also saw a black clothes basket.

any guesses with the youtube? her son was dying and she was watching videos? wonder if she deleted everything they don't say what she was watching

possibly, or might just be that she's completely innocent and is unfair to have her name out there

I think this is most likely. I imagine this would be set out in court that sue to this woman being very quickly eliminated from enquiries, the prosecution case/courts don’t want to risk any possible reprisals if, god forbid, her name was out there and people started speculating that maybe she did have something to do with it. Safer from a contempt of court/libel etc perspective to just have reporting restrictions (this name might be being said out loud in open court, it’s just not appropriate for it to be made public as part of a trial of 3 completely separate people).

I’m beginning to wonder if the woman AW is referring to/trying to blame is related to the youth. Because why not name the person she’s accusing?

Her name was given in Court. I think it's just reporters not printing it.
I don't think it can be a relative of the youth, not in that area.
