When I read, back in March, that RK had been allowed to see Mikaeel in the chapel before his funeral, I thought then that perhaps his death had all been a terrible accident and the authorities were being lenient towards RK in light of this fact.

Having read the above article, I am appalled and hope that she is given life without any question of parole.

I am reminded now of all those pics she posted on Instagram, on January 12, which would be at the same time as she was abusing and eventually killing him. I simply cannot understand the mind set of such a person.

I don't believe it's the case that she repeatedly beat M between those days. I feel that she 'lost it' and gave him 'a beating' and then panicked about what she'd done and the implications of taking him to seek medical care, that social services would remove all her children (this would have been preferable obviously!) I think a LOT will come out eventually ...

Rosdeep has appeared in court, for about 3 minutes. She's charged with murder but didn't enter a plea. Prosecutors say:

Rosdeep Adekoya, 34, beat Mikaeel over a four-day period.

'....beat Mikaeel on various occasions between 12 and 15 January, struck his body against a hard object and inflicted blunt force trauma injuries to his head and body..'

'Kular, who is appearing in court under her married name of Rosdeep Adekoya, is then said to have wrapped her son’s body in a duvet cover and stuffed him inside a suitcase.

She is then said to have put him in the boot of her car and driven his body first to his school, Flora Stevenson Primary in Edinburgh, and then to a relative’s home in Dunvegan Avenue, Kirkcaldy.'

I had to keep my post really factual, because when I read what she's alleged to have done......

The mother of toddler Mikaeel Kular- who was accused battering her son to death and hiding his body in woodlands - has pleaded guilty to her son's culpable homicide. Rosdeep Adekoya, 34, entered the plea at the High Court in Edinburgh this morning...

Adekoya, a prisoner at Cornton Vale jail near Stirling, admitted assaulting and killing Mikaeel at the family's flat in Ferry Gait Crescent and hiding his body in woodland in Fife.

She also pleaded guilty to attempting to defeat the ends of justice by pretending to police he had gone missing, sparking the search by the emergency services and members of the public.

Advocate depute Alex Prentice told the court: “The basis for the plea tendered being accepted is that the Crown accepts that the accused had no intention to kill Mikaeel and that the assault perpetrated upon him, although severe, fell short if the wicked recklessness required for murder”...

Adekoya was originally accused of murdering the youngster at the family home in Ferry Gait Crerscent, in Edinburgh.

But after the Crown amended the charge to the lesser offence of culpable homicide she pled guilty to killing him at the High Court in Edinburgh.

'Adekoya pleaded guilty to repeatedly punching her son and causing his body to hit against a hard object or inflicting blunt injuries on his head and body between 12 and 15 January.'

'Advocate depute Alex Prentice told the court: "The basis for the plea tendered being accepted is that the Crown accepts that the accused had no intention to kill Mikaeel and that the assault perpetrated upon him, although severe, fell short of the wicked recklessness required for murder." '
