Does anyone know if the witness who saw NB in the Upper Field at 9.10am (police were investigating the timing of this) is the same person who later saw Willow loose at the bench / river area at 9.35am & tied her up to go to an appointment ?

''Friends of missing woman Nicola Bulley say there's new hope she could be found after an "influx of calls" to police following fresh appeals at the scene today.

Emma White told Sky News they were hoping for a "lightbulb moment" exactly a week after she disappeared.

Friends and locals have been holding photos and placards of Ms Bulley by the roadside in the Lancashire village where she went missing.

It appears to have had an effect, with the police getting a number of new calls.''

I do hope they manage to get some useful leads or information from the influx

I wonder if police are going to renege on their original statement about it being a misper enquiry? Only by the way sky news are saying ‘It has previously said it does not believe any crime has been committed and officers are treating the incident as a missing person inquiry.’

The teams call jumps out at me the most. Why would she still be connected? If the meeting had ended, wouldn’t she have disconnected? It’s always the first thing I do. I wouldn’t put my phone down on the bench if the call had ended, without disconnecting first because I’d worry about forgetting it was connected.

So, if it hadn’t ended then wouldn’t the other person have seem/heard something? If she put her phone down for a moment to check something, surely they’d be aware?
I have been wondering myself if anyone else on the call heard something unusual or if Nicola didn't sound like herself. If they did though then I'm sure they wouldn't have disconnected from the team call unless it was to phone the emergency services or someone in NB's family to alert them something was wrong. It a habit for nearly everyone to disconnect from a call once its ended so could something have happened as she was about to disconnect? Was someone watching her and waiting for the phone call to finish? JMO

Just a thought and please ignore if considered stupid but I was wondering if there has been many incidents of drowning in this location? I have looked on google but I'm falling short of finding an answer.

Mentions a caravan site (don’t know if it is ‘the’ caravan site), I think the family were on holiday when it happened.

The phone was still connected to the call. Phone was on mute and camera off.

She was muted on the call so it wouldnt have made any difference. Besides, whatever she was doing she may have thought would take 10 seconds and then she would be back at her phone listening in.

'Police to give news conference at 2.45pm

Lancashire Police is set to give an update on the disappearance of Nicola Bulley at 2.45pm. '

She was muted

I’m a new member so apologies if this violates any rules.

Obviously this is a very unusual occurrence. How does a young, apparently healthy woman simply disappear from a tiny village whilst on a walk she’s been doing very frequently. I can sort of connect since I regularly walk along a rural stretch of river myself, often at night, often realizing how treacherous the water looks.

Having said that I sort of struggle with the idea she would have fallen in and drowned without a sign, partly because of my own experience walking along such a river.

So there had been mention of that “unused old house/manor”. Has this been thoroughly looked into? This kind of building could be used for criminal activity and she could have seen something incriminating. I haven’t seen any further mention of this building . I know speculation has a bad ring but a young woman is missing in very, unusual, circumstances. It makes you wonder, what might be a reason for that.

So much conjecture understandably. I really wish for a positive outcome ... Nicky is clearly a responsible and focused person and like everyone with other commitments whilst working full time juggles her life accordingly. Those that have to do Teams calls know it is normal to mute and keep video off for an update call where no input is required. She was negotiating her life around work as we all do and exercising herself and dog at the same time. I see nothing strange in her routine and unfortunately I can only think that Willow went after a ball and Nicky tried to retrieve it, then slipped and fell into the river. I would prefer a different scenario. The only other thing to add is whether she had a personal phone or she used her personal phone for both. As a contractor I only used my own phone, when employed by a company I had both. My thoughts are with all her loved ones.

The chance that the mic was off at that point she went missing is quite frustrating. Could have told us everything.

I’m sorry to be thick, but could someone please tell me what BBM sands for?
