Is the UK still in the Gold Cup competition?Such a shame for the families ..it always seems to be a Monday or directly after a Bank Holiday
OH OH---that doesn't sound good. From the Chester Standard:
“On Monday, July 17, trial judge Mr Justice James Goss said only 10 of the 12 jurors were present, and that meant no deliberations could take place.
He said it was not yet known when the next day of deliberations would be able to take place.”
Lucy Letby trial jury deliberations adjourned
THE jury in the trial of baby murder-accused nurse Lucy Letby has been adjourned due to juror absences.www.chesterstandard.co.uk
It was the men's Wimbledon final yesterday but it's not usually that much of a piss up occasion tbh.Is the UK still in the Gold Cup competition?
This is giving me a horrible feeling. On past occasions, the Judge has always cited juror illness. Nothing today, just that 2 jurors are not present. The wording seems odd to me, but then I’m probably just being cynical.OH OH---that doesn't sound good.
Feeling the same.OH OH---that doesn't sound good.
It is weird for two of them to be off. This is giving me a horrible feeling. On past occasions, the Judge has always cited juror illness. Nothing today, just that 2 jurors are not present. The wording seems odd to me, but then I’m probably just being cynical.
You would think the absentees could ring in advance to let the court know, to save everyone a wasted journey.
It is possible that they do. When I went there and it was called off the judge said he "was made aware over the weekend" but I think the jury and everyone still has to attend to hear the news from the judge in person. You would think the absentees could ring in advance to let the court know, to save everyone a wasted journey.
