If I understand correctly, the police called the day before to say that they would be doing a search. Surely, if the police were already suspecting this couple, they would have posted a watch on the house during the night and would have the suspects' every move carefully tracked. The super-clean bathroom is befuddling.

Well you would hope so, but I doubt they did this.

Knight says he and JI are best mates, he'd visit his house and family.They all knew him and he knew JI well,they confided in eachother.

Knight says JI said he took them to a house in Southmead where he unloaded the bags and drove back to the house in Barton Hill.

So the bags were taken to Southmead???? First I've heard of this

I wonder why it's the friend saying what JI saw and not JI himself.

Either JI has chosen not to give evidence, or perhaps this witness is in some way helping to show that JI knew nothing about what was in the bags ?

They were housemates and often he'd spend an Hr or two chatting with him.Says JI would offer people lifts to make a bit of extra cash.

And why did he return to Barton Hill anyway? Surely his part in the job was done and dusted, why did he need to go back again?

I'd imagine JI will give evidence too but I may be wrong. His friend may just be supporting his case?

Says JI did have a tendency to exaggerate, tell stories but says didn't lie. Says he believed JI never looked inside the bags.

Confusing there ....... by them, does the witness mean NM and SH ? took them to Southmead ( that is SHs mothers property ) and unloaded bags ? wonder which bags these were ?
