There is one question I have wanted to ask loc als. Do you know if Manorville had a reputation for dumping dead bodies before the Manorville Butcher publicity?
 
I agree and after re-reading this thread for the umpteenth time...I believe that only five or six of these dismemberment cases should be closely looked at re: JB... (IMO, he has done this more than two times.)
I believe that many of the missing, UID, discovered remains and bodies are likely due to crimes involving a none associate.

No one here has ever suggested that there is one and only one boogeyman. :)

LE says they can only link him to one other case. So what? LE has an awful track record on this case, and wouldn't have made this arrest if not for the DNA database. Which is more interesting, that JB killed RT and that MB was good friends with RT's daughter, or that LE is shrugging their shoulders and claiming no connection? Thinking that JB might be connected to some/all of these other murders is hardly on par linking him to "every murder from Long Island to Arizona for the last twenty years". Common sense says that there's a new top suspect for LISK, and his name is John Bittrolff.

Before the bodies were found, Manorville was only know for the exit you get off on the Long Island Expresswy to go to the Hamptons, and the Long Island Game Farm. Compared to Western Suffolk, Manorville only has a few strips malls, gas stations and a 7-11. I remember driving out east in the 1980's with the only stop for decent food was Grace's hot dog truck.
 
I asked because I was thinking in the beginning that Manorville was a dumping ground like the Pine Barrens in The Sopranos. It was after making this list that I thought Wow someone could have killed a lot of people over the years if it is mainly one person.

I added Jamie here specifically because of the Port Authority connection. When Jilly posted and added more info, I was shocked by the similarities between Maureen and Jamie's disappearance. While I do realize that people go missing from NYPA all the time, Jamie's specifics (drug user, sex worker, called from NYPA looking for a ride home, disappeared in July of 2005, etc.) make her case particularly interesting to me with respect to possible LISK victims. Again, just to be clear, when I refer to LISK I am referring to the person responsible for the GB4 murders...I am not referring to the Manorville victims, or every single body (or body part) dumped on the stretch of beach from Jones Beach to Fire Island. I think it's ridiculous to assume that all of these victims were the work of one killer when there is nothing what-so-ever to connect them. The GB4 are, without a doubt, the work of one killer...and THAT is the person I refer to when I say LISK.

(Sorry to have gone off on a bit of a tangent, but so many posters here use the term LISK in reference to so many different murders, that it just muddies the waters when trying to discuss the case. I find that incredibly annoying. End of mini-rant.)
 
I took all the lists, from the two and now merged "possible victims" threads and from the "forgotten body parts" thread. I combined them, chronologically, and deleted the duplicates as well as the teens and young boys and girls. I added Lattington and Sandra Costilla.

Even with all the data there...it took a few hours to put them all in order. Next step, for me, is to start plugging in JB data and start ruling in or out the most likely possible connections by area, any vehicle descriptions, job sites, home addresses, age of victim , other commonalities like appearance and significant MO & COD, etc.

@ MK, Another thing that I see in Jamie Diane Seymour, (IMO) she looks a lot like PAA Bittrolff, ALC, Barbara Briedor/AC4 and Rita Tangredi.

Has anyone found anything on Sandra Costilla other than the basics found since JB's arrest?

With Allison being killed in Wilmington, NC, I wanted to dismiss this case from possible linked cases. BUT, ALC and KO were from Wilmington, Allison was new to Wilmington from Long Island. Now I see Tim Iannone's mugshot and I think, WOW!!! he could be mistaken for John Bittrolff!

DNA solves the question could one be mistaken for the other regardless of how similar they look.
 
Another case I find interesting. Eve was from Bay Shore. She disappeared somewhere between Penn Station and her regular stop in Bay Shore on March 21, 1980. She was found 3 days later, brutally murdered and dumped in Suffolk, County. (Unfortunately, there is very little info available on her case.)

Maybe WPD hasn't run the DNA, if there was any found on Allison, against a national database. Now that Bittrolff has been swabbed and hopefully entered, maybe more hits will start to appear. But, I think it is up to local cold case squads to enter the crime scene evidence into a national database and then to initiate a search.

Edit: Thinking they either have DNA evidence from her or they just wanted his to see if his DNA could be connected to any of the mid 90's murders

She worked as a topless dancer/cocktail waitress at various bars in Suffolk County. At about 5pm, Sunday, June 1, 1986, a horseback rider in Heckscher State Park found Ms. Costello’s nude, strangled body, approximately 200 feet from the shore of the Great South Bay in Islip. Seemingly, the assailant tried to make the murder appear to be a suicide by tying one end of a piece of material around Ms. Costello’s neck and the other around a nearby tree.

June 28, 1997 found: (Probably died June 25, 1997) PEACHES, unidentified black woman, torso found with head and hands cut off, found by a hiker in Hempstead Lake State Park. She was wrapped in a black plastic garbage bag and stuffed into a dark-green Rubbermaid container with a floral pillow sham and frayed red towel.

July 22, 2005 Jamie Diane Seymor missing from the Port Authority

On March 3, 2007, (Cherries) another woman’s torso, stabbed and stuffed inside a suitcase, washed ashore in Mamaroneck. One of her leg bones and her right foot with her toe nails half polished washed up from the Long Island Sound later on March 27 among the rocks in Cold Spring Harbor. On March 28, her severed leg bone washed up in a plastic bag a short distance away at the estate of Cablevision billionaire James Dolan. The rest of her has never been found.

Sept. 14, 2007 THALIA STATHIS disappears; In July, a New York state trooper found her badly decomposed human remains in a vinyl bag that had been dumped on the shoulder of the Southern State Parkway in North Merrick, N.Y

6/26/2008 TANYA RUSH disappeared from Brooklyn. Dismembered woman was found stuffed in a suitcase near Newbridge Road in Bellmore off the Southern State Parkway, a 39-year-old mother of three, fingerprints were on file from a previous arrest.

Jun. 21, 2010 in Long Island Sound BLACK MALE , five miles north of Port Jefferson, 5’9”, 160 lbs, thick black hair, mustache and beard. No clothing on body.

Something occurs to me about these males: Maybe the killer sets up dates with them but acually attacks them and dumps them more half hazardly because his goal here is to use their vehicle to abduct the prostitutes...This is THEORY!

I know Jamie's friend has posted some on WS. Does anyone know anything else about Jennifer? Could you even still advertise on Craigslist as an escort in 2010? I wonder if the GB4 murderer has another, yet-undiscovered spot on LI where Jamie, Jennifer, and any other victims could be.

For some reason, Michael Taus has always stuck out to me as a possible victim of whoever killed the men found in Manorville. I hope I'm wrong and he and his dog are out there secretly living another life somewhere.

I'd like to add another possible victim to this list:
Stevie Bates, also missing from the Port Authority building. She has been missing since 2012.

I really think that Jamie, Jennifer, and Stevie may be victims of the GB4 murderer and he just has another dump zone that's unknown as of yet. (Again, I hope I'm wrong and these women just disappeared of their volition.)

I'd be interested in knowing more about Elena as well - her lifestyle in particular.

Also, just an observation- there seem to be a lot of victims with "smashed heads" on this list...
 
According to the WS thread on Jennier Papain, her killer lived at 773 Express Dr. N., Medford, NY. Wasn't colleen found on Express Drive South? Strange or is every exit named that?
