Apparently this guy was stable enough to get his PHD so he gets no pass from me. IMO it sounds like a narcissistic Socio who used his power and position. He had 2 years to let his anger fester. And here we are. Innocent people paid.

This is so tragic, I truly hope the rest of the injured are able to survive. Apparently there is a history of mental illness with the shooter. If I'm not mistaken this type of perp is called a "grievance collector". He's fired from the hospital for criminal behavior & returns two years later to exact revenge. Shots Dr's & other personnel then kills himself. Prayers for all involved to have healing occur, there were heroes today who put their lives on the line.

Docs do get a pass and do fly under the radar. When i was in Grade 13 I went on one date with a guy. He creeped me out. Not sure why but kissing and hugging seemed to be important to him. On a caz first date not happening! Anyhoo he went on to be a Chiropractor and lost his license here in Canada. I think there were 12 victims of sexual assaults. He had married an affluent woman/Family. Family flew him out on their private jet and I did hear he is practicing in the States. His initials are MB.

Details continue to develop, but here's what we know about him now:

• The shooter has been identified as Dr. Henry Michael Bello, a 45-year-old Nigeria-born family medicine doctor formerly employed at the hospital, according to sources.
• Bello was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the 17th floor after a two-story shooting rampage that left one doctor -- a woman who has yet to be identified -- dead and others fighting for their lives.

• Officials said Bello tried to set himself on fire before committing suicide.

• Sources tell NBC 4 New York a preliminary investigation reveals Bello resigned from the hospital in 2015 in lieu of termination.

• Bello has past arrests for sex abuse, turnstile jumping, burglary and public urination, law enforcement sources said.
• A New York State licensing website does not reveal any disciplinary history.
• Senior law enforcement officials describe Bello as a transient recently, with at least five different addresses since he left the hospital.
• Police are investigating the shooting as a case of workplace violence; authorities say there is no indication of a nexus to terror.

There is mental illness and there is also justice/injustice collectors. I work in the Mental Health Sector and have seen it all. Most of my work currently is with violent behavior. Dual Diagnosis. People have choices. I am just not one to give an easy pass. Especially after working with sex offenders. I hate the press jumps on finding excuses. JMO. for what it is worth.
