MOO she was engaged in high risk behavior, and as you say maybe many of her peers are too.
In your opinion whats the percentage young women in college engaged in a lifestyle like KL?
I have three young adult sons and each one of them has a school mate who graduated with them who are engaged in the lifestyle. While it isn’t broadcast per se, it also isn’t hidden. They all look like barbies, drive fancy cars, jet off to Vegas or Cali or wherever on the weekends and do not have “jobs”. It’s very obvious this is what they do. Almost like a high class escort or geisha. Whether or not sex is involved, I have no idea.

He’s a self-published model just like he’s a self-published author... and not any good at either. To me, this screams narcissist or at the very least an ego which is off the charts.
Yup. He’s “God’s gift to women.”

It’s one thing to be confident, but this ain’t that.

Perhaps he posed as an interested SD on text / online communications with Kenzie . One who would like to meet her (first time). Said he would send a driver to pick her up ...some excuse for that....Doesn't drive? So she sees a younger (31) man driving, and is not alarmed by it..Thinks she's going to meet the SD. By the time she catches on, he's got her in a locked vehicle or house.
Sad.

Still waiting it out. This POI will probably end up arrested and charged, but stranger things have happened. Something could have happened in his Airbnb that had nothing to do with him-or everything to do with him. Maybe he was involved in the aftermath. I agree that the most likely scenario is that once forensics comes back, along with digital trails, will end up with this guy. But you never know.

Yes.
My theory began with KL's 'fatherless' follow yesterday. I have a hard time believing that was actually her, and in my minds eye, "fatherless" could be the equivalent of "no daddy". Kwim?

A recent divorce just fuels this idea for me.
Damn.. I hadn’t thought about it like that until now, which makes it all the more ominous..

How is this a thing.
Enough to have a name.

Seriously. This is the kind of stuff that makes me want to take my survival skills to the woods and never talk to anyone ever again.

Good Lord.
I had a sinister thought reading about this popping up via his writing. I wonder if the Kia Sedan the police towed away was missing its spare tire....

It's been driving me crazy!! People keep saying he shouldn't have dropped her off at the park...well had he refused the ride before she got into the car it would have been fine to decide not to bring a woman to the park at 3am, however once he accepted her request and they were in route to her destination, IT'S ILLEGAL (at least in the states I'm aware of) to refuse to drop her off where she put in as her destination/asked to go. What grounds would he have to refuse to bring an adult who's contracted him to drive her, to the requested destination? What was he going to do refuse to let her out of the car and hold her against her will when he got to the park and didn't like her choice to go there? What should hehave based it on, the car she was going to meet wasn't up to his standards? It's too dark? It's not safe in his opinion? Well, that's all open to interpretation of each person. You're only job as a LYFT driver is to get your rider to their desired destination safely and in a timely manor. It's not the LYFT driver's responsibility to make sure his passenger, his customer is making safe/good choices. If I was this poor LYFT driver I'd probably never want to pick up another passsnger again!

yes. exactly. she asked him to provide the service of bringing her to the park, and he did so. if he had witnessed an altercation of some kind then yes the decent thing to do as a human being would have been to call 911. But he said she did not appear distressed, therefore why she chose to meet someone in a park at 3am was absolutely none of his business and not part of his job duties. i'm sure he probably does wish he could go back and help or do things differently, knowing what we do now. but he's not a fortune teller for pete's sake and there are people who need to stop acting like he is.

A professor is in a position of authority, with the power of coercion under the threat of failing grades. The SB/SD relationship appears to be between two consenting adults who both have something to gain from the arrangement. Does that make sense? The power dynamics are very different, I think.
I think the person with the money and experience still has the power. JMO

Marriage and divorce are public records in most states any idea the county he was married / divorced in ?
If he was living in Logan/attending Utah State University at the time, it would've been Cache County (I work at USU and grew up in Logan)

MOD NOTE

We now need to move on from debating whether or not the sugar lifestyle is normal or abnormal. Our personal opinions are not going to help find Kenzie. We all have opinions, including the moderators, but they do not need to be posted here in a thread for a missing woman. Before posting, please ask yourself if your post in ANY way helps to continue the discussion of the missing person. If it doesn't, do not post it.

Reminder: You may have as many private conversations as you wish. You can privately debate anything you wish. Do not take up space in this thread with it.

I’m truly puzzled by these events now- I had thought she and the POI had some type of interaction prior to this 3am meeting and had a relationship but Most of us found undesirable information about him using his real name in about a minute - did he lie about his name ? Does he have other online User names ? Do young people google prospective dates hook ups etc ? How did he hide this lifestyle and convince her to get in that car with him because I think he did - I’m trying to understand how this happens so I can prevent it in my own friends/family - I’m just floored by these revelations now
Poor KL - a monster for sure IMO

The lyft driver said that she was friendly with the driver of the car she met, but I doubt that she had anything to do with this man prior to her disappearance. She specifically likes men over 35, and he is only 31. Furthermore, room rental manager is not exactly what she likes, per her social profile.

Age alone disqualifies him through her social profile and lifestyle. That is, he's the wrong age, the wrong economic background, the wrong lifestyle and the wrong person.

This was in response to somebody speculating that an AirBnB renter dunnit. Which is absurd. He didn't even have one at the time, according to LE.
And even if he did, the suspicion falls upon him.

He lived near that park previously.

He lives minutes from that park now.

They almost certainly found him via digital communication with the victim (probably text messages).

Those fires in his backyard.

And all the things we do not know. They’ve got their man.

Yes, but he very well may have lied about those things.

If not, she may have engaged with him outside the SD context.
