Her great aunt said she thought Alexis would be afraid of him because he looked scary, but that's hard to say. Apparently his vehicle had been seen near where she lived AND was a fixture at the gas station:

Here is RATs picture from court today.
That looks like a guy who is about to crack.

The family knows him. It is possible she may have given him a ride knowing that he was a local and lived less than 2 miles from the Liberty.
Yes, exactly. As soon as I saw his picture I thought "that's the creepy guy that's always at the Liberty and flirting with the female clerks". I remember once going through the McDonalds drive-thru and seeing him pretty close to where I was waiting in line. I remember putting my window up and locking the doors. He gives off a very bad vibe.
If that's what happened, it sure would clear up a lot of questions.
When you say they know him, do they know him, or know OF him? I know OF a lot of people that I don't know and have never really spoken to, but I know who they are. Just curious about the level of familiarity Alexis may have had with him.

Jumping off from the first comment for a speculative rant.Especially now that we know his house was searched with a warrant BEFORE the car was found...
However... He could have had it hidden in another place before the parking lot...
but that is a lot of moving around... Causing attention to himself...
:dunno:
Just another interesting bit of info. Alexis worked at a store very close to Carmike where her car was found. They are less than a half mile away, less if you walk across lots. Perhaps it was just coincidence, but it is interesting none the less. I have no idea if he knew she worked there at all, but perhaps it was another effort of his to confuse police and get them to think she just walked away....

Doesn't shock me BeeBee. It took them four years to prosecute my brother's murderer, and he confessed.
Do you have the address of the store where she worked?
