I think an Age progression would be of some value, yes we probably have an idea of what she might look like be keep in mind we are seeing her pictures here almost daily while others (the general traveling public) probably don't even remember her, sad to say.

The other thing I am wondering if can be done is a photo overlay of Amy's pictures and the pictures fromt he adult web sites. Those pictures have been nagging me. I'm sure the Bradley's and FA believe they are Amy but the more I look at them the more disimilar they look. IMO

I was generally commenting on my own perspective regarding the witness sightings and Amy.

The last sighting sketch from 2005, done by the FBI, is the best thing that we have to go on regarding Amy's looks, near as I can see.

Of course, if we put all kinds of different hair on her, change her weight dimensions etc., that is easy to do with the free photo software available, I did it for the suspect in Taylor Van Diest's case in BC.

The gray hair angle is the best one yet, since her brother Brad is prematurely gray, Amy might be too.

In my opinion, her face has not changed so drastically between 1998 and 2005, besides the obvious worn and haggard look.

Just my opinion that an age progression does not need to be done, by all means try and get one done.

I am a person that always likes to start at the very beginning to figure things out. In my research, I googled March 24, 1998 and read that the Jonesboro AR massacre happened the same day that Amy disappeared. I wonder if that delayed the media covering Amy's story, I am up to April 5th and haven't found any mention on CNN. I am thinking that at the time, they would have had the most news coverage on it. May be wrong. Any ideas what date the news broke?

If you are searching cnn.com, remember that all the articles that come up are articles that actually appeared on their website at the time. CNN is a 24-hour network so they could've talked about Amy on TV, and just never wrote an article for the website.

Carl did this absolutely incredible overlay for us, with Amy's photo's and the "escort" photo's discovered.

Truly amazing. 100% to me.

Thank-you SO MUCH, Carl! :blowkiss:

You are the BEST!

In viewing this from Carl - THANK YOU - I'm reminded of the hair in the *advertiser censored* pic. Could it be a wig? It looks like a different texture than Amy's hair that we're used to seeing in her "before disappearance" photos. Or could she have had it permed & had hairspray in it to look so dry in the *advertiser censored* pic...

Very glad to see more people on here!

I suppose any of the above reasons

One question, how long between the disappearance and the escort photo becoming public?

I believe the escort photo was initially done in 2002 or at least seen in 2002. someone correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

2002?

Four years after her disappearance so her hair definately could have grown long in that time period

Humidity can change the hair texture
her hair did not appear "stick" straight in the cruise pics so it may have gotten curly and frizzy as it grew

I think it's a wig. FA made mention of the fact how the hair is perfectly placed over the shoulder so the tattoo isn't noticeable.

I don't think it's a wig, if she is being or was being kept someplace where there is no air conditioning the humidity could do that to her hair, and honestly she does look like she may be perspiring in photo.

Do we know Amy's true skin tone? I mean beyond being Caucasian?

For instance, if she's being kept out of the sun for long periods of time, what would her color be as she'd lose her tan.

When she does tan, is she a light brown that could look dark compared to very light skinned people? Or does she get bronzed like a Caucasian in the summer sun at the end of summer? Or does she get deep olive bronzed once tan?

That's a really interesting suggestion.

It makes a good deal of sense. It's quite possible that there was someone who was observing Amy the entire time, someone less obvious than Alister Douglas or any of the staff members who openly paid attention to Amy. I wonder if it could have been the dark haired man mentioned by Amy's mother...?

yes, exactly the point I attempted to make earlier!

this is worded so much better!!!

I agree. Even if her captors could easily get Amy into America, why on earth then parade her around in such a public, busy place???

It makes no sense whatsoever.

And although we have been told that the sighting was 'verified', what does this actually mean...?

Because let's face it, unless the witness actually managed to speak to the woman to verify it was Amy OR unless the witness was someone who had known her very well, the sighting cannot be described as 'definitely' being Amy.

Even if the witness saw the same tattoos that Amy had, that is still not proof. Those tattoos may have been very popular.

Not trying to be negative or anything - I simply do not understand why her captors would bring Amy to America. It seems counter intuitive, surely?

maybe that did not realize that area would be so popular if they were from another country and not familiar with the US, maybe, perhaps??:waitasec:

Amy's sighting in San Fran - since authorities moved on that tip really quick, did they verify that sighting with surveillance footage? There's cameras everywhere, even on the house, condos, hotels, etc along the beach - both sides (road & beach).

Sooo, why no releases? Why no screen captures of said surveillance?

What are the exact coordinates of this sighting? I'd like to research if a portion was private property.

I wonder if there is a way to locate the people (tourists) that where in that area of San Fran that day and ask to see the photos they took. Again, to look in the backgroud for a pic of Amy or her handlers? just a thought, but may be impossible to actually do.

I wonder if LE ever tried

I noticed this in part II of the Style article:

Everybody else was pale and white after a winter spent under sweaters and heavy coats, but not Amy. After three weeks of indoor tanning, she was a fashionable brown, ready for the Caribbean sun.

On Friday, March 20, 1998, Amy and her mother were having dinner at her Aunt Mary's house. Mary Kristensen and Iva oohed and aahed over Amy's crisp tan lines, as Amy laughed, showing off.

It sounds like she would get pretty dark after being in the sun for an extended period of time.

Just a lurker popping in who has been following this thread since the beginning (I'm no where near talented as all of you) but just wanted to say I'm thrilled to see the attention this case is getting. It has been on my heart for a long time.

Was just wondering if anybody has thought to invite Mrs. Bradley (or even Amy's dad and brother) to join this thread? She might be able to clarify a lot of things and I'm sure it would warm her heart to see so many people trying to bring Amy home. Although, it might stir up a lot of their painful memories so maybe that's why they have not already joined...
