About the gun... It could be WHs brother/nephews gun and be legally owned. Ammo just left at the hotel room.

It's a lot of Ammo to just be carrying around, but they could have been planning some vigilante justice.

If it was one of my kids... I would rather not even think about it.

Just keeping an open mind... Not what I feel in my heart at all

I'm not speculating on why he had the ammo, but that is not "a lot of ammo".

Regular 9mm FMJ is commonly sold in 50 and 100 round boxes at the walmart and pretty much any gun shop. Some more expensive hollow point ammo is sold in smaller packages. I can burn through 200 rounds in an hour or two at the range.

I know this guy shouldn't even have a single round, but I'm a bit sensitive to the media, and people in general blowing things out of proportion. I can't count the number of times I've seen the media call 10 firearms and 1000 rounds of ammo "an arsenal". If you live in VA, you've probably got a neighbor with much more than that, and completely legal.

Breaking News: Wesley Hadsell has admitted that he was guilty for these new charges very openly and freely. But. Why the 15hr interrogation? Why are they checking his hotel room. Dont they just usually let your lawyer bring you in when it is already known that the d.a is about to file charges? Was this arrest a surprise to him or did he know in advance? This is why i hope he wasnt in charge of the go fund me money. Because it was not meant for his legal problems and commisary.

Hi, Eileen! I asked about the ammo. I found that strange, still don't know if it was on his person (in a jacket), in the hotel room, or his vehicle.

Hey Happy : )
It was in his hotel room when they searched it! Now where is the gun?

Wavy-10 just did a promo for the Hadsell case... looks like the mother is going to be on the news sometime between now and 7pm.

I have plenty of ammo myself... My point was if it was brother/nephew and he conceal carries that is a lot to carry around. My whole statement was more leaning towards vigilante justice

Got it. It was in his hotel, not on his person. God knows why he had it, or where the pistol is.

Let's continue to play nicely with one another

It was pretty quick, nothing new was stated.

I think when all this happened, Him breaking into the house and all, LE cut him a break and did not arrest him because just maybe they felt bad for the dude and got the homeowners not to press charges at that time.
I think something happened on this last search that changed everything.
They found something or saw something. Maybe someones pings were revealed. Something made them arrest him. What was it?

Or was it to just get him out of the way because he is hindering the investigation!

His actions tend to go in two directions to me...

He committed a horrible act and he is very stupid and left evidence like ammo in his room and tried to plant evidence to frame someone else.

Or

He was/is ready to go to prison for someone he cares about and was ready for vengeance.

The significance of the ammo, in speculation anyway, is the intent that can be derived from it. Having the ammo alludes to having the gun it goes with, and having used it recently. The absence of the gun suggests he tossed it. Having a 9mm can speak volumes about what you planned to do with it, and even if you didn't, it means you're capable. This is not a hunting gun we are taking about (unless people shoot turkeys with 9mm?) Of course, it is totally possible he was shooting guns in the woods for fun and having the ammo in his room was just a tragically irresponsible mistake.

I agree with you on the first guess and think the second is just the icing on the cake for them.

Try the app Tapatalk. I was having the same problem when reading comments :)

These may be two strikes on WH's record. Can't be 100% sure without lots of research. As for VA, I only saw a minor traffic violation.

WH's North Carolina charges from 1998 (several shown at link)
http://webapps6.doc.state.nc.us/opi...turl=pagelistoffendersearchresults&listpage=2
§ 14-43.3. Felonious restraint
A person commits the offense of felonious restraint if he unlawfully restrains another
person without that person's consent . . . and moves the person from the place of the initial restraint
by transporting him in a motor vehicle. . . . Violation of this section is a Class
F felony. Felonious restraint is considered a lesser included offense of kidnapping.

WH's Ohio charge from 2005 (he has others, but we do not need to bring a victim's name here, so this link is only to one charge)
(ETA: This charge was removed to federal court)
http://www.delawarecountyclerk.org/pa.urd/pamw2000.o_case_sum?30181541
2903.11 (A) Felonious assault.
(A) No person shall knowingly do either of the following:
(1) Cause serious physical harm to another or to another's unborn;
(2) Cause or attempt to cause physical harm to another or to another's unborn by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance.
