I doubt he was heading down to Mexico, he would have stood out like a sore thumb down there, especially with his size.

There is a heavy African American population in the Houston/Galveston areas, and even more moved there after Hurricane Katrina.

He would certainly blend right in, and he might be able to find work in the oilfield or some sort of day labor in that area relatively easily.
AND with the big reward money, he wouldn't have lasted long in Mexico. jmo

Jesse Graham doing everything a guilty man would do.......but at a slower pace.

Still awaiting forensic linkage. Chief Longo didn't address that tonight, or any other night for that matter.

Since the Chief and FBI said thanks to a deputy in Galveston, doesn't that sound like he was spotted and arrested rather than he surrendered?

I agree, was just wondering if any details were given. I'll take that as a no.

If she was alive then running from le would be stupid.

How on earth did they let him get that far out of their site? This is probably wrong to say, but it was funny at the time, my husband said he shouldn't have stopped for that cheeseburger.

I was thinking the same thing...how did he make it that far and nobody saw him or the vehicle? But I guess it goes back to not many people paying attention to the news or surely not following these cases like we do!

I apologize for being snarky, but I am so worn out with those that are saying LJ/JM is "scared" ... this is about Hannah. She didn't deserve whatever has happened to her and the one that knows more than any of us, disappeared, didn't help - he ran.

You're absolutely right, this is about Hannah--whatever happened to her can't be good, so I totally agree that she didn't deserve it.

He certainly did not blend in. Stuck right out like a sore thumb. He could not have been there long.

Made me think of his Trip Friday to the DMV and a passport photos.

He may have stopped by a city where could find help in crossing the border, too, by illegal means.

May be he wanted a current picture for his Fake ID. I suspect the trip to the DMV was part of his exit plan.

I thought the opposite, he just doesn't know where she is.
why increase the reward?
no appeal to search lands
he said something like remember this face, keep searching for HG

That is incorrect- he appealed to people again to search their property

Any specifics on how they got him? Traffic stop? Walked into a police station? Anything?

No details other than to thank a Deputy so I assume he was apprehended. The Chief did say something to the effect of answering questions in the next 24 hours or so.

nothing like coming home to the word 'ARREST' in the thread title

*happy dance*

Wow. WOW.

(Major tech. breakdown at my place :( Had to run to coffee shop with laptop for work. Delayed PC worked for me ;), on phone.

Glad they have him. Not sure that I can sustain my "he *might* still possibly be innocent" stance/speculation after this news.

I'll be back later.

Could he possibly heading to Brownsville to cross the border?

:sigh: ...if he doesn't talk. :praying: for the family as the search continues.

Im praying too. I can't imagine how Hannah's loved ones feel. Relief that JM is in custody but where o where is Hannah?
