You're right, you're right.
I know we did not require a passport crossing into Mexico on land from the U.S.
"The Galveston County Sheriff's Office says Matthew was located on the beach in Gilcrest on the Bolivar Peninsula around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Galveston County Judge Mark Henry, deputies received a call about a suspicious person camping in a tent on the beach. A deputy responded and ran the license plate of the suspicious person's vehicle.
The license plate came back as "hot" or wanted, said Henry, who was briefed on the circumstances.
Henry told Local 2 investigative reporter Jace Larson that Matthew did not resist arrest.
Matthew is expected to appear before a judge on Thursday morning."

LE has his DNA. If he was linked to MH, trust me, he would have been charged as soon as they got that DNA back.

This has been my theory all along and I think she is still alive and hoping no one is giving her up for dead. Investigators should check every truck stop and backpage and other internet sites for escort services. A lot of these rings are not run by super intelligent organized criminals but street thugs. They may be on drugs or just think they won't get caught. If she is hidden in a hotel room, maybe they aren't smart enough to worry about someone turning them in. It's all a long shot but its happened before.

When I lived in Houston no one I knew considered Galveston an island-- it was just some place nearby that you got in your car and drove to. You don't have to load your car on a ferry or anything.
Thank you! If it were MY daughter, I could only HOPE to have someone so passionate in charge.
I don't think you do unless Google maps is wrong. You would take a ferry coming from Galveston, but if he came in the back way on the 124 to the 87 he could have driven onto the peninsula. I am guessing he was driving at night and just spending time in less populated areas during the day. Probably thought sitting on a beach was a fairly safe way to lay low.

Did anyone notice on JM's facebook page that a "friend" from Texas (can't remember the city) had posted a comment and something like "let me know if there is anything I can do"? I remember seeing it after his pictures had been blackened, maybe 2 days ago. It was one of the few comments made by friends. When the "wanted" poster came out announcing that he had contacts in various states, I thought it was strange at the time that Texas was not listed because of noticing this comment. Is his facebook still accessible or did anyone save it? This could explain why he ended up in Texas!
