A ploy for "mentally unfit" seems rarely accepted but commonly attempted... In JM's case, I might actually buy it =/ But I don't believe that he had no control over himself. He can try playing Lennie, but I think he made decisions that night. JMO.

Speaking of Lennie from "Of Mice and Men", I wonder if he is aware people perceive him as a "Lennie" and that is why he used the name "George" while in Texas. I do not believe this man to be slow by any means (on top of his college time, he also was able to proficiently navigate a taxi through a town that has streets that do not run just N to S and E to W). Could he purposely be trying to convey to the world his is a "Lennie" while believing he is actually a George? And I do not mean as in multiple personalities, I mean more like him enjoying having the power to deceive kind of thing. May be a long stretch here.

I just feel like he would go somewhere that he is very comfortable with....even growing up there and knowing lots of areas

Yep, and LE is clearly on the same page from their comments yesterday at the presser.

I don't know if anything is too much of a stretch. We're talking about a guy whose own friend outed him as basically a whacko predator. The lengths that he apparently goes to to get female attention just don't sound normal to me.

VERY well said. I think I needed to hear that so THANK YOU.

You are very welcome I've had to learn the hard way with a stalker. And I don't say the word stalker lightly. The flood of attention a psychopath swamps a person with seems flattering at first, but it's not normal.

And not pointed to you at all, but anyone reading this: again a psychopath, sociopath or narcissist is *not* a mental illness.

I just wanted to show you the differences that are possible between a sketch vs real picture of suspect. I mean it looks like him but there are subtle differences. This isn't JM it's just an example so to speak. I was looking for sketches of suspects and ran across this, just thought I would share.
LMAO I forgot to add the sketch....suspect.jpg

One reason we know that Jesse Matthews is not of diminished capacity is because he calculatingly takes very intelligent, interesting young girls who would be remarkable women until the age of 102 but for their premature death through murder at the age of about 18 years old.

But if we're really looking at sketch v. actual criminal comparisons here, I have to say that example is one that is EXTREMELY accurate. Most don't bare that degree of resemblance IMO.

This really sheds light for me since I questioned JM's resemblance to the Harrington sketch. Actually, I think he resembles the Harrington sketch more than this guy resembles his own confirmed sketch!!

I disagree mainly because look at his nostrils the composite shows turned down nostrils the mugshot shows them turned up. The mouth is different The nose is far too wide in the composite and the chin is a little longer as well. JMO
Edited to add I agree that most aren't that accurate I'm just saying there are many differences yet still are the same person.

Please, has anyone seen anything indicating where JM was intending to move at the end of the month? I believe it was reported that his apt was listed for rent, available Oct? Anyone seen or heard?? Thank you

I hate to quote myself but if anyone hears of WHERE JM was supposed to move to after he moved out of Hessian Way apt, PLEASE let me know down in the Search thread here?? It might add some insight as to places he 'knows' around the city. And could help find Hannah...capiche?Thank you.

and yes I know he has now moved into jail

Sorry I have to add a little humor....I think it was Texas!!! Or possibly Mexico!! lmao....sorry

Oh no I'm not saying I don't see those differences, I'm right there with you! I'm just saying that you often see sketches that end up looking nothing like (or hardly like) the actual perps. Hmm now that I'm thinking about it maybe I'm just a little biased against sketches for some reason... Ignore anything I say about them actually lol... However this link was just posted in one of the Sub Threads and I thought it was interesting.

I'm not sure he is a psychopath either. But I read the word empathy several times here today and wanted to give an example of why you don't always need to extend that to everyone.

Although reading how he often comes across way too strong with females does set my alarm off a bit.

He was well known on the mall. His overly aggressive behavior towards women was known, yet came and went alone. No crew or group of close friends to speak of. That's a guy with a lot of unaccounted for free time on his hands.

BBM. Eyewitness testimony being what it is, it doesn't surprise me... What does surprise me is the amazing talent it must take to do a halfway decent police sketch. I'm pretty artistic and am always drawing, but I don't think I could draw accurate faces while a person recounts them from memory. Between the frailties of eyewitness testimony and the sheer difficulty of recreating a face from someone else's memory, it's a wonder sketches are ever of use. The more I think about it, the less I question the sketch vs. JM.

Agreed! And his behavior around colleagues and family was very different, but I feel friends (not that it seems he had any) knew the real him, hence the reason he had none.

It is extremely frightening to me that he is repeatedly referred to as having no boundaries. Touching women in ways everyone knows nobody likes without even getting permission. I was looking for a spot in Coy's article where someone specifically said he persisted even after getting a "no". Didn't notice that. I'm not saying JM must be good at taking no for an answer, but that perhaps maybe he even KNOWS his behavior is unwanted to begin with (poking holes in his dimwitted, doesn't know any better facade), and is... Maybe just "testing" girls to see how tolerant they are?

Well, now that I think about it, he was met with resistance, but seemed to ultimately back off when he was told in no uncertain terms.

In public anyway!!! :/
