GUILTY VA - Shannon Gore charged in death of infant, child abuse, Hayes, 2011

But supposedly outside the two of them no one knew the "caged" girl existed. So hard to believe it would be the same child if the photos were posted on the internet for everyone to see.

There was a former mail carrier (allegedly) posting in places that says that they saw children come to the door and get the mail. two children. The two children stopped showing up and the mail carrier assumed they were a product of divorce and went with the other parent. The picture, if it is this girl, may have been the oldest of the two children not including the new baby boy. Some of the current neighbors haven't seen any other children besides this one. In the picture of Shannon's birthday party there are family and friends possibly in those pictures that may very well be aware of the existence of the child(ren). We have only heard from a few folks that knew them, perhaps recently, and they were unaware for whatever reason. Why - who knows.

Very preliminary theory for me - this young girl was a witness to the buried child's death and she was next. I can't get information fast enough... These people are simply ghouls to me.

If correct, as being stated now - 6 to 7 years old --- will she have a story to tell??

I want her to come to our house, both her and her brother if I can get adoption rights.

Mail carrier who was supposedly anonymously posting- I am not sure how convincing that is. Have any neighbors came forward saying they saw children at that trailer? If the children were out and about at some time, the neighbors should have seen them.

I agree, that is unconvincing. We have only heard from one or two neighbors and an old friend of Brians I think. People may not be talking. The murder charges were extremely quickly leveled so LE has some information from someone. They haven't even been able to do an autopsy yet on the child in the ground (DNA on bones can take awhile for identification too) and an anthropologist has been summoned to work the case. Somebody knew something to get murder charges levied so fast, no? I think so. Brian seems to be the better of the two and was a bit more forthright in questioning. Maybe he said a lot more. How did they know to look under the shed?

The ghouls parents are not talking to the media. I guess we wait and see. Anxious to find out what the reality of all of this is. We may be even more shocked when we do find out more.

If the child is actually six or seven and can talk she should be able to at least clarify some things. I don't think we have heard anything on whether she can talk. Also, the father claimed she was born at home 2 years ago and has no birth certificate. If that is not correct seems it should be easy enough for police to figure out if there are any records of any births to the mother other than the infant.

She may be so traumatized she can't talk, or has never been able to. Nobody knows outside of LE and the hospital I guess as far as currently. Did this young girl mention the child under the shed - hadn't thought of that. If so, that would explain the murder charges coming so quickly. Maybe the one buried is two, and this young girl was older since I have seen nothing out of what Brian said to indicate she is nothing but 5-7 years old.

On reflection, my theory that she was a witness and being next makes more sense if she can communicate. She may have been a witness, and they were slowly killing her off. The fact that within a day or two murder charges were brought against both of them before the body could be DNA tested and method of death could be determined - means that LE knows the child was "murdered". how...?

A death due to neglect would count as a murder charge. Though they did come up with the murder charge very quickly, considering that the child is reported to be skeletonized, so specialists would be needed to examine her remains to determine her cause of death in a neglect case.

I would think LE has something since the murder charges were brought before the autopsy and anthropologist could finish examinations. We have neither the cause of death, nor have we seen confirmation on identity.. Correct, neglect would be murder charges, and in this case it was almost immediately first degree murder charges.

A child found starved and near death - another found in a box, buried in the yard, no birth certificate for either, no medical care. I can see where murder charges would come from with no trouble.

First degree murder, attempted murder with special allegations of torture, child abuse causing death, child abuse causing grievous harm... I could go on and on. This case has death penalty / Life w/o parole written all over it.

In regards to the little girl and her future....

This is about a different little girl found in similar circumstances. And this is about her recovery or maybe I should say her recovery as far as she was able. Not to say that this little girl will go the same, but that any recovery will be a long slow sad process.

Warning! Very difficult to read.

No doubt about that on the death penalty. From what I read, neither Brian or Shannon have said anything (reported) on the child under the shed. It was skeletal remains only. Just because a skeleton is found on your property, one could deny you had anything to do with it. Forensics would prove lineage and possibly manner of death. That hasn't been done yet, but first degree murder charges were levied, so I would assume that LE and the Commonwealth attorney know much more.

I sent the Children's hospital an email asking about her condition and if a place has been set up for donations and gifts. Not sure I will get much from that, but I figured it was worth a try. Gonna read this story as soon as I get a chance.

Has anyone seen the search warrants for this case?

I remember this and knew that she had been adopted.

When the reporters asked us on Friday, I told them I have never seen children around that home. I didn't even know they were going to be parents. My daughter was only able to add that she knew she was pregnant the last time she saw her, and she apparently had that baby on March 23rd of this year. Repeat, no one around here knew there were children at that couples' home.

As an update, someone came by with sheriff deputies today and took personal belongings out of the trailer this afternoon. I saw them when I came home, and am assuming they are family of one of the monsters. From the looks of it they were even driving their SUV. I saw one guy go over to the shed and kind kick some dirt around while he was on the phone, but thats about it.

Is it just me or is some of them being withheld?

I see the original search warrant to go in for the burglary search. (2 pages)

I see the search warrant for the search of the home in regards to the child neglect charge (1 page)

Report on the interview with the Gore's, and it ends in the middle of a sentence, so it looks as though there is more to it. (1 page)

Copy of Marriage license (1 page)

Am I right in believing that there should have been another warrant about the digging under the shed since it wasn't covered in the first two warrants (burglary and child neglect?) And obviously more to the interview.

I also forgot to add that I doubt seriously this little girl can talk. I give a few reasons for this: 1-you have to have strength and energy to communicate 2-communication is a social skill that requires social interaction, this little thing had none of that and 3-it is possible that she is so medically compromised that her hearing and vocalizations are nil.

I have been following all the posts on this case. FWIW if this girl was walking before they put her in the cage she would likely be older than 2 now JMO

my kids all walked between 1 and 1.5 years old.

As to the search warrants and the shed. There may be one missing one that related to specific info they had gathered from someone regarding the body there. Or they may have searched under the shed under the pretext that evidence of or items taken in the burglary may be in or secreted under the shed. If the warrant on the burglary was non specific, such as residence, premise, etc. then the shed would fall within that scope. Time will tell.

Page 3 of 4 is two pages side by side... are you seeing it like this?
