I just started watching Nurmi from the beginning, and so I'll probably be cutting in with my eyerolls at stuff he says.

Starting with--Jodi had moved away and was on a dating site, proving she wasn't sweating Travis. She was even seeing her alibi, Ryan Burns.:facepalm:

Or maybe she was doing what JM said--flopping from man-to-man because she can't stand to be alone? Maybe she moved to make Travis as her to stay, but he didn't, so she was stuck with moving and EVEN MORE upset at him for not stopping her? It's plain as day how Jodi felt about Travis from her saying on the May 10th tape--"I want to marry someone like you...." or something to that effect.

Next--he claims she knew about who Travis was taking on the cancun trip. YEAH, the harmless babysitter. Imagine her surprise to learn it's Mimi.

Wow. Thanks. JA is dragging her feet, stalling for time, in this case, talking to mitigation specialist. Until the bailiff gets her going. Meanwhile, Nurmi is looking at his phone. Barely registers when she is urged to leave. He does not care.

Juan is seen smiling in the region of his desk, conversing with someone. Judge is smiling with Mike. Business as usual.

Amazing for the likes of me, how routine this all appears.

I loved seeing how happy and relieved Juan looked. He was all smiles in that conversation. I could tell that he thought it went very well. :dance:

If I am not mistaken during jury selection, each juror is asked whether they could give someone the death penalty if they are found guilty and worthy of such a sentence, so I hope the only jurors left would be ones who said they could give out that sentence if they choose to.

Yes you are right. They have to be strong but I still think it must destroy them inside to sign that judgment. Whew.

Jury has it. They will resume deliverations Monday at 9 AM.

Numi went and failed epicly. He basically went with the crime of passion defense. He threw in the sex again. It was pathetic.

Juan then came on and explained how the jury can only really decide guilty based on the evidence of her lying all the time.

Juan was good again, but have to say he was better yesterday.

Jury has the case and will work 9:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday.
Shouldn't take long to decide guilty of murder one.

Where was all the blood at the bathroom/closet at the 'initial' gunshot, when SHE developed the fog?

The camera would still be at the corner of the tub (according to her) in all the chaos. But how did the pic at the end of the hall, that was deleted by her after the fact, come about?
Travis certaintly didnt set that pic up!
It just doesnt fit her story.

The truth is that she stabbed him in the heart in the shower, he slumped down and probably said i'll kill you *modsnip*, looking down the barrell of a gun and a camera.

She thinks she's committed the perfect murder.

Great post! In addition, only a hard core criminal type high on drugs would react to a sudden gunshot to the head by saying "kill you fing b*tch". To someone like Travis, just pointing the gun at him would have been enough to frighten him. She is rediculous.

Observation - Nurmi sure spent a lot of time with his back to the jury - not good. In addition, he really might want to consider bi-focals after he licks his wounds from this case.

Yeah i know what you mean. I think even if the jurors said they could do it, when it comes down to actually deciding on it, they probably have 2nd thoughts. People really need to be darn sure they could give out the sentence before saying they could do it during jury selection. I am afraid people dont think it though during jury selection.

I am not sure how I would respond during jury selection. I would have to give it some serious thought before I accepted being on a jury like this.

I normally agree with pretty much everything you say but all Susan Wright had was a friend and her mom that she was abused. There was never any documented proof, just the word of someone. I mean, yes I know that not every abused person will To me it was like the Petersons claiming that Scott was such a great person and never killed Laci. She also tied the man to the bed and stabbed him almost 200 times. Even if he was abusive, you don't tie someone to a bed and stab them in a heat of passion.

ITA, fragile, and actually edited my post taking out the bit that I disagreed with her sentence/conviction. 193 stab wounds and concealing his body do it for me, not to mention he was restrained. I still think the case against Jodi is stronger...I know legally premed can be seconds but having a week's worth of evidence can't hurt, kwim? (Not intended to diminish what Jeff went through, of course. It was heinous.)

My heart still mourns Kelly moving to private practice too. The world needs more prosecutors like she and Juan.
