I am really surprised the jury left. I would want it OFF my plate....but I guess time did not allow for it. 55 mins in a DP case is not long enough. I hope the verdict will come quick on Monday! Prayers for the Alexander family!

I thought JM said "no jury will ever convict me towards the beginning of his opening argument." Even if not, he has said it several times in court. Re the DP comment, the jury instructions for deciding to verdict tell the jury NOT to take into account the punishment, or words to that effect. That's why he would not have mentioned the DP

He did mention it several times. I would have liked to hear it again at the end

I thought the same during that other "can't be mentioned" trial east of Arizona.

Anything can happen, that is a concern in this case especially.

JM did a magnificent job no doubt, but now it's out of his hands.

Of course anything can happen but there's some serious differences to that case

- That the defendant has already admitted she did kill Travis

Right. And based upon JA's testimony of returning it when and where, along with the WalMart employee who testified, it is quite obvious she did not return it ANYWHERE.

I would say they didn't have time to deliberate today.

Once in the deliberation room they would have to decide who they want as foreperson and then they had to workout their time schedule too.

They will go home and rest over the weekend after a long day and come back Monday and earnestly start deliberating.

IMO

I'm just amazed that they only want to go to 4.30. Unless that's the upper limit for court time on any given day.

I came back and NG is yelling we are in a verdict watch; what the heck I thought they went home; did they Really and did the judge dismiss this jury? I didn't see it did you? I thought I safely had some time; now I see NG with all this breaking news we are in a verdict watch at 8:16est. What the Heck?

I'm really surprised at the comments re the jury not wanting to deliberate any more tonight. They've had a long week, no doubt want to gather their thoughts personally first of the last few days and come back fresh on Monday. It's easy for us to listen to the trial because we are chosing to do it, we laugh, we talk, we go off and do something else and then come back. They're probably exhausted. They are also taking this work seriously. For them being a juror must be like work and knowing they wouldn't have much time to deliberate today anyhow even if they had started, I completely understand why they are waiting til Friday.

I'm not concerned. I have full faith in JM and this jury. There is not one iota of evidence by the DT that has me concerned

Nurm went looking for that one juror who believes in the fairy tail of unicorns. I absolutely trust that every single juror will vote for the reality of wildebeasts.
