Travis's family is going to pray and fast Sunday. I think we should all do something special Sunday (no matter how small) to gather up those good vibes for the jury, something to honor Travis and his desire to make the world a better place. With all of us, that would certainly be a lot of positive energy! Anyone in?

Here is my plan...I am going to close this window and turn off HLN. I can't handle listening/reading over and over and over again everything I have seen happen already.

Juan did fabulous.

Jury deliberated for about an hour so far. We know they have elected the foreperson.

Starts again Monday at 9:00 a.m. Arizona time.

JM getting the messages on the magazine highlighted today was brilliant! I forgot to comment on that. "Jodi saying "****ed", "interview was brilliant", "talk to me before you testify". Ha!

My sound quit so I didn't get to hear the last of Juan's closing. :scared::facepalm: So frustrating!!! I would've loved to hear that. Instead, I got to hear the edited for DT version of the phone call. Had to shut it off. I hope the jury felt the same way.
On pins & needles now, but also feeling relief that it' almost over. My blood pressure can't take much more.

So now my sincerest support goes out to Travis' family and friends...I will fast and pray for swift justice and hope that in time, your hearts will find peace.

I missed Juan's rebuttal closing today. I cannot find it on our media thread or on you tube. Does anyone know where to find it?? I am devastated to have missed it. I saw his initial closing and part of Nurmi's but I really want to see Juan's rebuttal. HELP and THANK YOU!

FWIW, this case is the clearest case of first degree murder. If the jury does not deliver this verdict, it means someone did not understand the instructions or were firmly set against first degree murder.

Even IF Ja had been attacked first, on top of 27 stab wounds there were three additional distinct injuries using two different weapons and occurring in two separate areas which would have been fatal. Once she passed the first injury, it then crosses the threshold to first degree murder.

I just don't see how a jury could find anything but first degree unless there is something hinky with the jury.

Juan started to bring up those magazines that she had written on to one of the show's producers, as soon as he did Nurmi sz facts not in evidence, and I remembered right away oh yes those magazines WERE in evidence but Juan's questioning even left us scratching our heads, it was so quick and then it was over. So he objected I think three times loudly then side bar and then Juan pulled those Magazines out and went over it again on the Elmo. heeh. *(where JA had written on the side and it was all bullet points on the Elmo lol!)*

Ditto. Mormon Attorney said it on the last thread and I quite agree - this is one of the strongest cases for murder one I've seen too.

Susan Wright and Clara Harris didn't concoct an alibi, drive 1000 miles, pick up a gas can or 3 along the way, turn their phones off, remove plates etc, before killing their husbands. Susan Wright used the self-defense/BWS defense (her abuse has since been substantiated to a degree and her sentence reduced by five years) and Clara Harris caught her husband with the mistress he'd sworn off seeing, and ran him over repeatedly in the hotel parking lot, resulting in his death and her COP defense.

Both women were convicted of 2nd degree murder, despite having been charged with 1st. But if you weigh cases side by side theirs were so much stronger to prove diminished capacity with not near the amount of premeditation. And even Susan Wright never claimed fognesia.

Donovan is some friend, huh, wearing a skull tee shirt on a day they're going to show a slaughtered murder at a Death Penalty Trial. Of course, the mitigation specialist wore a bright red red flamingo ruffled blouse outfit the other day, and I spent all day wishing she'd put a flower in her mouth and start dancing.

Where do these people think they're going when they get dressed for the courtroom in the morning?

It just shows that they have no class. Not surprised at all.
