Thank you for reading. I'm currently on twitter blasting in to the twittersphere my pet cause right now of this hideous victim trashing going on in this trial. This def. team which includes their unethical expert$ and the media arm of Kiefer and DeLaRosa have gone so far afield using the fabricated fiction of this sociopathic murder to abuse her victim while distracting from one of the most heinous crimes in history. I want to at the very least keep a conversation going about this because this imo is NOT what "adequate defense" should include EVER. And i know for a fact it's escalated. During my sister's trial this nonsense would never have been allowed. And WE THE PEOPLE are paying for it!
I think some politician is gonna pick it up and i'm just the big mouth to keep it out there while people are listening. It's wrong and it needs to pivot. I'm all for Travis Law to use this trial as that pivot point because this is the worst i've ever seen it in a murder trial at least. Who's with me?

Even if she tried to mess with the time and date of the nudes it probably wouldn't have mattered, all that Melendez could recover were the thumbnails, which don't have time and date incorporated into them - they are just a file in the EXIF data (most of which was destroyed in the washing/bleaching). EnCase apparently used info from the memory card to ascertain the time and date of the thumbnails. And since thumbnails are tiny pics of the picture itself, that's more than likely why they look cloudy and dark. But if you put a thumb up next to her selfie taken the day before, does it look like the nude was taken the next day? I see quite a difference in her appearance, it's a dark pic (the thumbnail), her hair should look almost black, not lighter in front and darker on the braids.

Oh, and it was taken at Travis', on his bed, the bed clothing is the same. We know she dyed her hair brunette with the front lighter in late March, I think she took these pics before she left for Yreka.

I also think that if she intended to have these nude pics on his camera, she was setting him up so that Mimi would see them while in Cancun and never be his girlfriend (and spoil both their trips) but I tend to think it was accidental, that she had deleted them off that memory card and used it in his new camera for the shower pics, not realizing they could be recovered. It has occurred to me that she may have wanted the nudes found when he was found deceased but I have a hard time fitting a way for her to do that and still look blameless of his murder.

She was traveling on a major highway---not a remote desert road. There are gas stations all over the place. And roadside phones for assistance. And she had her cell with her. That is 'bollocks.' lol

Oddly just last week I made that exact drive and right past Yreka in to Phoenix (how creepy was that?). Yes it's not a deserted road at all...highway all the way. She's a lying sociopath but of course we knew that.

The other weird thing is it is a VERY long drive. I did it in three days. She must have driven like an obsessed possessed maniac to make it in the timeframe she did. Just part of her psycho-ness.

The EXIF data is a lot of information, it includes a thumbnail of the pic, the time and date it was taken, information about the camera that took the pic and the camera's settings, if it was modified and when, if a flash was used, etc. IMO the nudes had previously been deleted and overwritten by other photos taken afterwards, destroying much of the EXIF data, and then of course the washing and bleaching, that didn't do much to retain the data either.

Okay Geevee, I really want to believe TA didn't know she was there and surprised him. So if exif data is attached to every picture taken, you are saying she took pictures of photos already on her camera from a previous time, then deleted the pictures from Travis' camera so only the thumbnails are there and they have the date of the murder because they are pictures of pictures.

I'm about ten pages behind, but wanted to jump on the Texas bandwagon. I lived in Point Venture , just outside of Austin, for several years, still thinking of going back!

As for the jury...let them eat cake.

They have a hard job to do, a life, even a despicable one, is in their hands. This is something they'll have to live with for the rest of their lives. Interesting that those who bashed the judge. Every. Single. Day. Are the same people so happy to jump in and bash the jury. Seriously, for eating cake.

BBM: Are you suggesting there are chronic bashers among us? Is there a medical term for it I wonder? I think JSS did her best, and the Jury has every right to eat whatever they want, when they want. Wouldn't want to walk 5 minutes in their shoes. (Well, maybe for a little bit just to see what is going on in their heads) I have the patience of Job though, so for me it's okay that they are taking their time. But seriously who am I to want to rush this, just someone who cares I suppose. I am sure the family is anxious, but hopefully their justice will come soon.. they have waited for 6 1/2 years and it's way past due.

I sure like the sound of that and I think it may just work.
Multiple years of non-stop false allegations against him. The false child *advertiser censored* allegations alone should be enough to pass some kind of law to prevent attorneys from doing such a thing.

Any allegation needs to have some sort of evidence to back up the allegation. Something. The DT attorney should not be able to accuse without some form of evidence to back it up. And they cant just keep promising that evidence will come and it never does. It needs to be proven up front and then the allegation could be allowed. Or something like that.

I was lucky enough to visit England once many years ago in the summer. Loved it. But I've never forgotten, it was in the 70's farhenheit and someone actually apologized to us for the "heat wave."

I lived in England, Cambridgeshire, for 6 years and loved the weather! But I'm not a hot weather person at all. And the smell of the coal fires on a cold night - priceless!

While avoiding their own lack of any mitigation.
Just like this case. It just all makes me sick.

It was very eerie to drive past Yreka...gorgeous part of the country and very rural feeling/small town. If only she'd just stayed there and rotted.

I think Geevee was saying that JA had deleted them off her own camera and brought the memory card to use in Travis camera but the memory card still had some of the thumbnails pics from the deleted photos before she ever left to go to Travis house.

I actually kind of like that theory too.

May I add one of my sister's murderers had served 5 years in Germany for a violent gang rape before murdering Cindy yet that wasn't allowed as "irrelevant" and "too prejudicial" yet Jodi Arias gets to make crap up about her victim and have it spewed via her lying expert$, blasted in the media via her media rep who is supposed to be impartial and through her nasty attorneys over and over and over again. At the risk of being too repetitive but WE THE PEOPLE foot this bill! For ALL OF IT!!! Every last dime!!!!

Perhaps his wording is just weird. He's making it sound like it took them 15 days to decide on life and death.

The way he wrote it sounds that way --15 days of deliberations, instead of the 3 days in actuality, but you're right, maybe it was just poorly worded.

Like my saying " 3 day penalty phase" instead of " 3 days of deliberations" in a post upthread. LOL
