I've been starting to get that feeling as well. Just that something is off, not that he isn't necessarily guilty. I hope I am wrong and that this guy is linked to other missing cases and families can have closure. I am hoping, like you said LittleMissContrary, that LE is just being extremely careful to build a watertight case with the mounds of evidence they have.

BTW...just joined here the other day after following along for a few days. I live in the area and this has really hit home. I love reading everyone's insights and thanks for having this site for people to speculate and examine these cases. I hope Alexis is found soon.

I remember coming to this site during the Morgan Harrington time. I drove by the farm just a couple hours after they found her body and it was the most heart wrenching feeling I've ever experienced. I drive this route often going to my parents house...very disturbing.

I am so confused now. I do not like conflicting MSM stories, and, they happen in every case.

First he is on the gas station film, now he is not?

First he lives in a house, now he lives in the camper?

So, now we have to wait and sift through whatever news we receive. I think he is on the gas station film, why say he was seen following her as she left?

Living places. Didn't LE search a house and take the camper? It makes sense that he may have lived in the camper if unemployed or barely working, but didn't LE search a house too? Of course, the reports may mean he has lived in the camper at some point in time, not current time. So confused.

Happy to see that dogs are searching a HOUSE! (Unless that house just so happens to be a camper. :sigh: I don't think it is though, as LE has the camper, the house can't be impounded.)

The problem with LE asking for help as to sightings of RT make me think they don't have pings or GPS on him for Saturday. Which will make finding Alexis nothing more than sheer luck, if true.

AH!!!! I just thought of something....
On the news the other night they were detailing how you don't always need GPS or a cellphone to track someone. Sometimes in newer cars the onboard computer, similar to a plane's blackbox, can also tell everything about the cars behaviors over a period of time. So a computer forensic analysis of both the onboard computer in Alexis' and RAT's vehicles might prove beneficial. (Example: 70 miles per hour for ten miles, 25 miles for 1/4, 70mph, 25mph, stops, car idling, ... you get the picture)

It was actually the farm where her body was found. There was a huge police presence there. At the time, we didn't even know it was her, it was just known that a body was found. The speculation was that it was her and it was so, so sad.

OT: I have a BA in Anthro but I don't use it -- did you major in Anthro? Are you using it? I love the field but there's no work to be had unless you go on to grad school and I can say my undergrad stint was riddled with missing classes due to hanging out with guys :/

I am also very confused. They list his address as 10506 Thomas Nelson Highway, but that is not the area they are searching (unless the map is showing it wrong). They area they are searching is off Country Lane, which is directly across from Cannery Loop. That was why I was confused when I saw the map that was created and didn't see that location pointed out on the map. Are they searching two locations or is the address of his house wrong? Ugh, I just don't know anymore.

I would think if she were answering an ad she would have been dressed up and much more put together. I'm not buying whoever was trying to sell the idea that she was an escort/sex worker. She seemed close to her family and not like the type of girl who was isolating due to an alternative lifestyle/profession. Jmo.

I agree about not going after the employer's daughter. He would be smart enough to know not to go after anyone connected to him, especially after all the Sara Clark (spelling?) harassment he endured.

I also agree the *advertiser censored* is irrelevant. He was there, he bought some movies. He was simply doing his thing. Probably not related to following AM. However, unless UB called LE about the video footage on their own, LE has something from there connecting him to AM, like a receipt or even the movies in her car. Most likely a receipt found with date and time.

I don't know if he was stalking AM before the gas station though. He may have been and that could be part of the evidence LE says they have that proves this their man. I have no idea what they have, but if they are certain, it could include internet and/or cellphone activities connecting him to looking at AM's many accounts.

ETA: Scratch the idea that a receipt or anything he purchased was found in her car. According to this article, FBI was going door to door to the shops and that is how they found out about his Saturday evening purchases.

I know this link was already posted (Lovingston Man Says He Recalls Randy Taylor’s 'Strange' Behavior) but I found something that really creeps me out and needed to share: "Johnson says he's seen Taylor in the Lovingston Food Lion parking lot, just sitting and watching people. The Food Lion parking lot overlooks the Liberty gas station where Alexis was last seen on August 3."

I still can't shake that question on her ask. fm where the anonymous person asked her an extremely sexual question and when she did not answer it whoever called her the N word and told her to answer the question. It was the only derogatory/hateful comment in 700 + worth of questions. Seems strange, and IMHO.

this ask fm could also connect with the other ask fm of "i see you in those flowery pants".... maybe both were from him.. and he had been watching her from food lion, and/or the corner of the parking lot of the gas station where the air hose is as reported by wset... sounds like he's been watching the gas station for awhile... and it could be he on the ask fm

Also, I don't find the guy's feigned Gomer Pyle act convincing. He sat in the Food Lion parking lot stalking every resident in Nelson County until he found a victim. That show he put on for the Hook is just plain old scary. LE wouldn't have swooped in and taken this guy off the streets if they "weren't sure." He may have had other women on his radar.
I'm sure he has accomplices. He knows people. Afterall, he was able to get Sam Clark's phone number from somebody. He doesn't look innocent to me. He looks deeply psychotic. BTW, good morning, lol. Just getting up, catching up

I don't think perps like this are stupid. He'd know better than to act inappropriately toward this person. In spite of their seemingly "uncontrollable" desires they do have some control. And who is to say he wouldn't have targeted her if he was alone? OR that being around this woman's "beauty queen" of a daughter didn't set something off in him?

It was said that he allegedly purchased videos and I believe it was allegedly around 5PM the day AM disappeared. Not sure if that is accurate but if it is I don't think he would have or would have had time to go home and watch the movies (thus setting him off for some sexual crime) and then go out and find a victim, IMO. I think he stalked her personally. I don't think she was chosen as victim in a completely random manner. I'm seeing this as a bit more calculated, although not quite so careful the he didn't get caught.

I agree that it likely has no significance in regards to his criminal behavior.

I agree with the beginning statement... he absolutely could be fine with those who is familiar with, knows, or chooses to be... thats a hallmark of a psychopath/sociopath .... on your second opinion, i differ... if he left c'ville around 5, it would put him home around 6... leaving plenty of time to watch some *advertiser censored*, get hot and bothered (yuck) enough to go out to the store a little over an hour later (7:15) and be stalking AM... IMO

He brought his grievances about harassment, by the Greene County Sheriff's department to court on the local level. It was not against the FBI and the GPS was legal at the time without a warrant. But the court agreed on some of his other complaints. He won no money, afaik, and only had SOME of the charges dismissed based on "fruit from a tainted tree."

this is why I think they only moved on him after having absolute concrete evidence... this time FBI was involved, not just local LE.. and they wouldn't want to make any mistakes that would jeopardize this case like last time...

Something isn't adding up especially now they revealed he lived in his camping trailer. Numerous MSM say he pursued her from the gas station was that by car or on foot? Now they say RAT wasn't even on the camera at the same time as AM.

I have not had enough coffee to clear the fog yet, so help me clear this up please.... I know media and NG is saying differing things... but has LE come out and actually said that they WERE NOT on the camera at the same time? or did they say they were on the video around the same time? because that could just mean they arent willing to clarify just yet... its different if they are saying, No, they were not seen together... but I dont remember LE saying that... can you shoot me a link to them saying that, I must have missed it... there is so much to catch up on!!! I need to hire an assistant to go through it all!! LOL

Also, I know I posted this late last night, but has anyone been able to look more closely at what looked like a defensive wound directly below his right ear on his neck? not the tat by his collar, but right below the right ear.. looks like a finger nail mark with bruising... if you watch him from the time he gets up from table as he moves across room and out of the court room on video... I cant find a way to get a snapshot of it and zoom it and was hoping someone else could when it is in the best light... anyone?

There was a body found at a cemetery (no pun intended) in Tennessee today near the TN/KY border. It immediately made me sick but when I googled the location I thought to myself "there's no way that creep would have made that long of a trip to dispose of a body."

The media really irks me with speculation and misinformation. They are sloppy these days and journalistic integrity is a rarity. It's all about getting the scoop. I swear I wanted to thump Parker Slaybaugh (WSET) up side the head when he was releasing info that the FBI said they weren't releasing yet. I know people like getting exclusive info but sometimes it is best to let LE make the decision when to release info.
