I just checked both links regarding LE stating abduction/no abduction. The abduction article was from Aug. 5th early a.m. The no abduction same day but later in the day. May mean nothing based on reporting these days????

"I wouldn't let my six year run around by herself and she [Jenise] has been doing it since she was 3-years-old,” said Phyllis Tindall, 76, who lives a few houses from the Wrights and has grandkids in the community.

Tindall said she woke up one morning a couple years ago to find the then 4-year-old Jenise standing on her lawn in nothing but a man’s shirt.

Another neighbor, 25-year-old David Pfister, recalls seeing Jenise walking around barefoot from early in the morning until late at night.

This bothers me a LOT ! So much :(
I did not realize the 2 were separate individuals. So why ' assault' a babysitter, presumably of the 8 yr old child? ............... I'm sure we call can do the math.

ETA Not that it's ok if both charges were involving the same person, and a child at that. I was trying to play devil's advocate and hoping it was a big misunderstanding / misinterpretation/heated argument where he said / she said that amounted to nothing. Add a babysitter ' assaulted' late in the night after a night out drinking and then an 'accusation' of molesting anyone, presumably a child in said babysitter's care and I am seeing red !

I hear ya

Sometimes Witnesses and Victims are in such fear they don't speak out. Just sayin......

I'm guessing that the father's charges were downgraded/dropped and he's not technically a RSO. I wonder if the family was ever involved with OCS. Poor Jenise.

It was stated I believe during the Presser there had been prior involvement. However did not disclose when.

From news reports....father and siblings went around the neighborhood calling for her LATE Sunday night.

WHY WASN'T the MOTHER with them????? Ask yourself. If YOU were a mother what would you be doing?

Enough said.

Are the neighbors allowing their homes to be checked?

I'll never understand why some parents are so trusting. I think they don't watch the news.

Maybe they have a subconscience belief that the child is safer with other people, anyone else, than with themself.

I saw 2 differing reasons for removal of the other siblings. I wonder which is true or maybe both? ( im linkless, btw) One was early on and said removal was due to prior incidents/ reports of CPS / OCS? And then later it was reported that it was due to conditions in the home. I speculated if that meant a really messy home where there were dangers like hoarding , for example. Now, I wonder could the previous incident be from 1999 ?

Comments by the general public everywhere have been so condemning (understandably so but not necessarily appropriate) ... this must be so hard on the other family members! I hope they get answers soon!

Interesting - the other kids are with the oldest sisters (the eldest of which is only early 20's). I wonder if the parents are allowed to see them there or how that works?

But the biggest thing? NO mention of how it's impacting dad. :waitasec:

Yet in just a few sentences, they mention it impacting MOM 5 times.

"People say the things they say about my mom, and it makes me mad and upset at the same time," said CA, J's 2x-year-old sister, "because my mom is not like that. And it’s hard for me not to lash out at other people because they don’t understand what we’re going through. This is my sister."

CA and her 2x-year-old sister, MD, say they are doing everything they can to help their family. The two adult sisters are taking care of the rest of the siblings, ages 16, 12 and 8, after CPS removed them from the Bremerton home. All of it, they say, is wearing hard on their mother.

"From J being gone, and CPS taking the kids away from her, it’s tough. It’s really tough on her," said Davis.

While the title says they feel the need to defend their parents, and twice in the article it says they feel the need to defend their mom and stepfather, that is NEVER in any of the quotes from them.

That's the reporter's words only. The girls ONLY mention the impact on mom in their statements. The "defend their parents" and "defend their mom and stepfather" appears to be entirely reporter interpretation of the actual comments from the girls.

I found this description...well, I don't know.

But at the same time, she added, the Wrights seemed to feel safer than most modern parents and seemed to allow their daughter to walk freely.

These people are clearly not good parents, but I'm not sure that specifically means anything. She could have been back home making a ton of phone calls.

Maybe she was staying behind to see if Jenise came home or to field calls. We have done that with a missing dog - one person has to be home, and everyone else goes out on foot and by car to search. They relay back to the one at home.

hoping today is the day this precious child is located.
Unfortunately whomever took her had nearly a full day to cover their bases.
