I think this means the description of the arrested suspect the police released ie 17 year old neighbour not a description given to the police.

ETA quoted wrong post sorry matou. Don't know how to add a quote now waah.

Maybe it was to protect them from same perp? Maybe the parents were afraid or they had reason to believe he m ay not be done? ** speculative**

No...LE said due to what they found in home. Can't remember exact words.

Hmmm yes that's true. Would LE tell the parents who it is or his description though? Maybe LE gave some general details such as Jenise likely being familiar with him and likely trusted him. IDK.

I think it was a very general statement, and that the term 'description' is referring to the information about the suspect that was released by LE at the presser. They probably know of two 17-year-old males who live in the park, with a parent and a step-parent in the home, who was likely familiar with Jenise.

Also, to those wondering about the suspect's current juvenile status. He will definitely be charged as an adult. But because he is legally a minor at this time, he does have to first be charged as a juvenile, then they can request to transfer him to adult status at a court hearing. The request will be granted. It's very standard... a 17-year-old who is being charged with murder will NOT be charged/tried as a juvenile.

I wish I could find the link but I do remember it was stated at a presser the siblings were removed based on something the Detectives observed and I use the term loosely (observed) when in the home early in. Words to that effect. Anyone?

At this time, as she indicated, PrincessPJs map is not affiliated with WS. Information provided on that map violates TOS at this time. If the information falls within TOS tomorrow when the suspect is named and it matches, it can be again linked at that time.

I thought the detectives said they were removed due to a past history with the agency.

In either case, it was very very vague.

ETA: I do know that it takes a helluva lot to actually take the step to remove the kids. For them to just swoop in and take them? Is pretty serious. (Based on what I know of the family court system IMO)

For sure. I did hear what I posted and then I understood it as answering another question. That there had been prior CPS contact with the Family. IIRC. I may have it wrong. Or not.

I do wonder/worry about the 12 yr old sister. I pray she wasn't a victim of his that became too old so he moved down to the little is...
Heck if he has a younger sister I worry about her too!

All posts are MOO

I don't think I have the energy...

(((shady))) You take care of yourself and don't feel obliged for anything if you aren't up to it. And also thinking (((shady's friends))) also that are local and close to you and perhaps are also in your circle of friends that you can grieve with

this statement: BBM

Byron told KIRO 7 that the family only knows of two 17-year-old males who live in the park and who fit the description given by police

so, LE somehow got a description from someone or a video tape?

Good catch, I missed that

I'm sure many parents from the MHP will be speaking with their children about any time spent with the suspect. I would encourage all parents in the MHP to get their kids some counseling regarding these events, and have them speak to someone who specializes in recognizing signs of past abuse. (not all children will be forthcoming about sexual abuse, even if asked directly)

He will definitely be charged as an adult.

Hypothetically, if the unknown 17 juvenile that was arrested last night, had an upcoming birthday in, lets just say 6 weeks, would that have any bearings on being charged as an adult?

It doesn't make it less egregious, horrendous or heinous..

His hands/penis should never have been anywhere around a child..

My problem is, since he is technically a minor, he won't be getting a life sentence. Supreme Court ruled on this...no one under 18 can be sentenced to life..I hope I'm wrong...

Thats wrong. They can't be sentenced to LWOP. But they can be sentenced to life.

The single lady has no kids and has nothing to do with the kid arrested. I think other people that know him told "something" to LE....it might have even been his own family. I also heard the family is respectable and everyone is shocked.

It seems like many times people are "shocked" when someone they know is revealed to have committed a heinous crime. I do think that in cases like this there is a very real possibility that the suspect had also been a victim of abuse at some point, of course this does not give any excuse to the crime (!!!), but it is possible that a family that is so "shocked" didn't know what had gone on with their own family member in the past (or even in present behaviors). (I think the defense would be all over presenting that as part of their strategy, although they can only do this with any sort of validity if the suspect is willing to name names.) I also have a hard time wrapping my head around this (rape and murder) being the first violent act the suspect has committed. I have a feeling that if enough digging was done there would have been a few signs that something was up (emotional detachment, depression, random violent outbursts, lying/stealing) with this person. Maybe they are shocked because they really were only seeing what they wanted to see/were capable of seeing. My opinion only, thinking out loud here.

Yes. But I believe this one would be charged as an adult at 13, 14 or 15. The crime is too grave. Rape and murder.

But out it is unlikely he will be sentenced to life for second degree murder. Nevertheless, he'd probably be quite old before he got out.

I am going to go out on a ledge here.....

I don't think there will be a trial.

I think there will be a plea agreement.

We know that many times sexual abusers have been sexually abused themselves. I hope that they will check this out as a part of the investigation to ensure that there is no teacher, coach, or family member who has abused this boy and may continue abusing others. Of course, he is still responsible for the crime (I am not suggesting that a past of being abused would excuse him at all) but if he has been abused at all we need to stop that individual from hurting more minors!

I assumed that as a possibility but does not excuse the action. It could possibly partially explain, but no excuse.
