WHAT Has Been Said & By WHOM... That Baffles You? (aka Oh No They Didn't!)

What baffles me is why anyone in this family would ever thing they should have to look for clues at all or figure out what is code for "nanny" etc.

I mean c'mon! They aren't spies. They know kC well enough to get that this is just the old razzle dazzle crazy making ploy to keep them off balance while she thinks up more dumb lies that they eventually buy in to.

When a child is missing you don't have to speak in code or look for clues - you just waterboard the person who is not coming clean with the info- oops did I just say that? Oh, well, you put the pressure on. Of course in this case KC is a stone so it doesn't do any good. But the charade of clues and codes should have been over Day 1 Cindy, George and Lee. Think about it.

oh the swat team waiting to burst in the room and get Caylee was a great one..

oh and let us not forget the blaming of the media if "Caylee should be hurt" it is the media's fault.

7/21/08: Cindy Looked Through JOURNALS For Clues
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy0LUysjXlE

This just shows how "crazy" the family has "let" themselves become in order to avoid any kind of truth that would implicate their daughter and subsequently themselves because of their failure to take the child from KC to protect her.

I know everyone says that KC took very good care of CAylee. She took good care of her while she was in "front" of anyone who was with them. She did not necessarily do that while they were alone. A two and half year old is not is not going to tell on her mother - she loves the mother - I am not saying it happened, but I am not saying it did not. And from the looks of this case and how KC lied, I doubt she was as good to this child as Cindy says. Seriously doubt it.

A child of that age can be tricked by anyone into believing that all is fine and there is nothing to worry about even after she has been neglected. They just want someone to love them and as soon as it is shown, they will respond, even if they have been neglected.

Jail visit on July 25, 2008

Cindy Anthony: "How come she never got a chance to get the car. It doesn’t make sense."

Of course, Casey diverted this question much as she did other questions that required a direct answer. However, I have always been baffled why Cindy asked that particular question. The only thing I can conclude is that Casey had told them that she had left the car at Amscot for Zanny to pick up.

BBM...another bold faced lie...

IIRC, she told others he moved to Kentucky. This prisoner just lies to lie...what a waste...JMHO

Justice for Caylee

Yeah the whole Italy thing reeked of another fanciful made up bunch of nonsense. I wonder if ICA gets a mental picture of a map or a globe in her head and just starts naming random places. Everyone she knew seemed to have "contacts" (who talks this way?) in New York, Tennessee, the Carolinas, etc. Utter absurdity.

We only know what is given to us regarding the lies in that family. I know I read George's interview with Yuri and JA and at one point he says "did you know.... KC said she was assaulted a while back and ....." Apparently, she told the family she was assaulted and had filed a police report. I don't know the reason she came up with this one, but it probably had to do with money. When George asked her for the policeman's card, she said "don't worry I will handle it". Everyone tells George "don't worry, I will handle it". So George doesn't worry and no one handles anything and Caylee is eventually killed.

I believe behind the scenes are much worse than they appears - I mean the dynamics in the house. There is probably a lot more lying than we know about, a lot more covering for KC, etc.

When Lee is interviewed by the State, he implicates Ricardo, Amy and especially Jesse and Tony and his friends because they are bad people. He says he never considered KC a suspect and was surprised that she was friends with Amy who he did not considered "real" (doesn't matter that Amy led everyone to KC). Doesn't matter that she was ripped off to the tune of 700+ dollars.

So it is ok for KC to steal from her grandfather's account which is paying for his expenses and from her grandmother, and from her mother to the tune of some $40,000 (and we know LEE is aware, as he tells Tony in the car that KC is a pro at writing bad checks). It is okay that KC has given him "bad" phone numbers; it is ok that KC has given him the Blanchard Park story that made him "roll his eyes" (his words). and on and on

Do they just "forget" when they say things. Is this family just bizarre or plain stupid. Lee talks about how "stupid" the Morgan firm was. Does he realize how stupid he sounds when he gives the reasoning he does. This is not the brightest family.

Yeah the level of denial or ignorance of things that are obvious amazes me. He somehow normalized the fact that she lied to his face about phone numbers and the Blanchard park beat down story...never asking why she is lying, pointlessly, when Caylee is missing. Who on Earth would accept a person doing that when a child's life is at stake?

The one that took the gold medal imo was when he described the exact step by step scenario - casey is missing, Cindy is freaking out, the car was abandoned, no one has seen Caylee, and the car smells nauseatingly horrible and the stench fills the garage... YET he doesn't make the next logical step to think Caylee was killed and was in the trunk. It's like 2+2 = 4 but he stops at 2+2 = then starts laughing and seems to think everyone is as baffled as he is.

Could a lifetime of Anthony Family dynamics blind a person or what??

Exactly! You tell what you know or you don't tell anything. What's the point of giving hints and clues? And what on EARTH makes anyone in the Anthony family think they are equipped to figure this stuff out if it was some sort of mysterious code?

The same people who say "conveyed to me" instead of "told me."

What made my mouth gape open is when he and CA would malign JG because "his story changed", never accounting for a possible mistake. But lie after lie of ICA is misproven and they still believe her...it MUST be that it's in code. It MUST be because she's protecting the family. I wonder if their warped justification/coping mechanisms worked so well that they have been able to maintain their faith in her and forget why they originally believed her, KWIM? I wonder if the States response to the motions in liminie would make them think, hey that's right she DID say she was conducting her own investigation. Hey, wait that blue dress pic WASN't when she was pregnant. Hey wait, they proved Zanny WASN'T in the hospital. Oh, hell, I'm dreaming.:banghead:

Sheesh. At least in A Christmas Story, the kid who sent away for the Little Orphan Annie secret decoder ring figured out the scam when the code turned out to be an advertisement for Ovaltine!:maddening:

I have only read 7 pages of this thread so far, but I have been very impressed by the many insightful responses to the question posed by the OP.

However I personally was sorry to see that the list of lies and aberrant behavior of "Team Casey" was effectively interrupted by one poster.

Speaking of lies, how about this one:

Cynthia, a nurse; " I am a nurse of decomposition."

1. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a nurse of decomposition. "Decompose" is a verb that describes something that happens to a DEAD body. Pretty much everyone knows a DEAD body has no use for a nurse.

2. Cynthia the nurse surely knows this, and she must know that a lot of people, including all her colleagues. would immediately recognize her statement for what it is, a lie.

3. So, what can we think about someone who tells a boldface lie, which has no chance of passing the truth test?

I recognize the behavior. It appears to me to be a family trait.

This was so well said. :great: Especially the waterboarding part :saythat:

ITA Gnatcatcher, and to go one further......why 31 days? There are 30 days in June, if Caylee went missing 31 days (according to KC's statement on the 911 tape) that would be June 15th. That is counting July 15th. We have 3 out of 4 Anthony's confirming that they last saw Caylee on the evening of June 15th, the night of the infamous argument between CA and KC. So the 31st day would have been July 16th (oddly enough, if CA would have given KC "one more day" as she had asked....it would have been 31-days). With all the reference to the dates and number of days in this case, I find that this was the first and most glaring mis-statement or half-truth. As you posted Gnat, KC locked herself into the 31 days.

Conversation between KC and 911 operator:

911 Operator: "And you last saw her a month ago?"
KC: "Thirty-one days, been thirty-one days"

First this family can't get the date correct (they all went with June 9th at first) then they can't get the number of days she's been missing correct.....

How do you not have this down precisely to the minute? How? This statement baffles me and was what told me KC was lying right-away. This is the statement that drew me to this case.

BBM: I tried to quote Gnat and myself in this post, so I hope it worked:

The other day, on another thread, another poster reminded me that in a conversation between CA and ICA..... CA had said to ICA that she had wanted CAylee back on the 15th.....now if we are to assume this was a nice Freudian slip.....then ICA and Caylee disappeared after the "alleged" argument wherein CA "allegedly" throttled ICA on the eve of the 15th......IF these statements are assumed to be true then we have the explanation to the 31-days mystery......gone missing 6/15/08 reported missing by CA on 7/15/08....31 days.....
:websleuther: :dunno: :offtobed:

I forgot to mention in the above post that I believe ICA killed Caylee that night of the 15th.....otherwise why choose 31-days......that was a memory marker the 31-days, not that Caylee was missing, but that she was dead. JMO......:seeya:

I so agree with you on this one. I truly believe ICA performed like a mother in public and when their was no audience - Caylee was a weight around her neck.

Very much so ~

I think that from the time that Casey brought Caylee home, that Cindy naturally took over in the beginning.
Nurturing and taking care of Caylee, trying to guide and teach Casey.

Casey went along with it, and, after awhile, I think that Cindy's expectations were not shining through with Casey.
More and more, Cindy was the one that was taking over more responsibility for Caylee.

In short order, Caylee was more a bothersome "little sister" that had to "tag along" with Casey, much to her disdain.
In front of Casey's friends, she walked the walk, and talked the talk, but, behind the doors of the Anthony home, it was a differant story all together.

I think the proof of that is the creepy silent videos of Caylee taken by I presume, Casey.
There is no interaction what so ever.

BUT, there is ANOTHER date, a date that many have missed aside from the June 9th date that the family at first went with.

Cindy did an interview with Megan Kelly{?} on Fox News, in which it got pretty heated, which also resulted in the station cutting Cindy's microphone off, and, Megan telling the viewing audience, that yes, she would make sure that Caylee's name and picture was kept in the public, because the family wasn't doing things right, basically.

In this interview, Megan asks when was the last time that Casey had seen Caylee, and, Cindy gives the date of JUNE 14th ~!!!
So, there is another way of getting your 31 days if you use this date.

I think it is pretty safe to say that George lied about the morning of the 16th when he tells that Casey and Caylee left at shortly after noon, or there abouts.
How many people could tell exactly what your grand-daughter was wearing on the last day that you saw her, from a month earlier when you would have no idea that this is the "last time".
It was just another good ole normal day according to George.

Cindy tells that she knows they were home, although she didn't see them, she "heard them" sleeping though the closed door.

George tells of making breakfast for Caylee in one interview, says nothing about it in another.

I don't know what the heck happened, have ran many theory's around in my mind, changed them up, and have started all over again.

What I do know is this entire family is in this up to their necks ~
They are all liars.
Who is covering for who, I've gone back and forth on.

The trial will certainly be interesting, that much I know for sure.
The bus could take anyone of them out, if not all of them before it is over, either from their lies, or.......... well..... we'll see.

I just cannot get over Casey's "doing her own investigation" lie. I bet she wishes she had never told that lie. So much of the evidence is going to disprove that and make her out to the biggest, worst liar of them all, and all because she swore she was doing her own investigation.

That has to be the dumbest thing she's ever said this whole entire case.

BBM: Thanks Purple! I had completely forgotten about that! and ITA with your comment about GA's different accounts and CA's different accounts of the last time they "saw" Caylee and ICA for that matter. Originally GA's account was hazy and then much much later it was crystal clear and completely different.....hmmmmmmmmm
