Sometimes these violent offenders (“home invaders”) operate in sprees...if this was a random home invasion then its possibly likely there might have been another incident somewhere else the same night. But LE would know about this, unless there is some sort of jurisdictional blindness going on...

So I just drove by my usual route. An electronic billboard that usually flashes Jayme’s picture and missing info is no longer on there (I sat through the light and it ran full cycle). I’ve seen her on two billboards in the last few weeks, and on this one-gone. The holidays are coming. People will continue on with their day to day lives. Jayme’s parents are gone. She still has family, but what can WE, fellow Websleuthers/armchair detectives do to help them to find her? SOCIAL MEDIA! I challenge every one of you to post on your accounts today. And why not every day? Let’s take to Twitter, FB, Instagram, Snapchat. Whatever you use! Post post post. Someone knows something. What may seem insignificant could be the break that is needed. The LE may not know what may have been stolen. If JC had brought a sum of money home from work or the casino and the perp/perps took it, the LE wouldn't know a robbery had taken place

I believe LE has spoken to the Casino and even sent people out there right away. I definitely think they know if JC had brought any sort of money back from the Casino. I would assume, like other Casinos, they could track exactly where he was and whether or not he was winning.

(Believe me I know that terror. It’s the worst feeling in the world. Looking over your shoulder, wondering if its even someone you know, looking at people sideways in the grocery store, being afraid for the kids...

It’s been 6 years since little Jessica’s horrific abduction, rape and murder and I’m just now getting the help I need for the PTSD resulting from this (fear of stepping on body parts, seeing a trash bag on the side of the road wondering if there are body parts in them, etc etc etc.).

I feel for this community as I do the community of Delphi.

To have to live there with no answers...at least we know Jessica’s killer is behind bars.)

O/T but... I went through the exact same PTSD after the Zahra Baker case. It was so close to me, and we had local WSers actually out there recording and giving us moment by moment updates when body parts were found in the woods. I knew I was traumatized, but I never really realized how deep that trauma went until I started having panic attacks on hikes, or just walking my own property. It took me months to even realize that I needed professional help to deal with that trauma.

I say all this not because I just want to share my story...I say it as a very real warning to other posters here. Be kind to yourselves and know your limits.

I posted yesterday did anyone know why LE contacted security at St Croix Casino at 04.32 just 3 hours after discovering the crime? I don't know whether they wanted to view their CCTV or if James was perhaps a member of said Casino and had been there the previous evening? If he had won a large sum of money then the Casino would surely have a record of that?

If James was at the casino, that would be known (and maybe released by LE?), and IF he won some money and IF someone followed him I think this would be known as well, don’t you guys?

IF this is a random home invasion then chances of this being solved miiiight be higher (not sure) due to multiple people being involved and the potential of someone talking.

If it’s a pedophile abduction by a sole perp then the chances of someone talking are less, imo, unless there is suspicion by a coworker, family member, etc.

In other words I think a pedophile is less likely to talk vs gang type folks who may like to brag and/or snitch if they get arrested for an unrelated crime. Moo.

Most likely because they thought the perp(s) were fleeing west and wanted any video footage. Nothing suggests Closs was a big gambler, is there?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but LE has never addressed the question of whether or not anything was stolen from the home, have they ? If not, then it's entirely possible that they don't want to make that information public because they don't want anyone to know that they are looking at pawn shops, etc. etc. for those objects to turn up somewhere.

Just a thought.

I will search back through the threads to find the poster who informed us that the Casino has security cams directed towards the traffic on the highway as well.

This gave me great hope that the authorities have picked up something from those particular surveillance tapes.

I recently read about a burglary where the perp stole a vehicle from a casino parking lot, and returned it to the parking lot without the owner even knowing it was gone. I agree the casino would be a good place to wait out.
