Along Highway 8. Searchers scouring the roadside ditch on WB side between Barron & Turtle Lake. #JaymeCloss family home is on that side of Hwy 8. Based on this search. I have to wonder if investigators now have intel that suspect(s) fled the house heading west.

Doesn't look like photo attached to last tweet. #JaymeCloss search along Hwy 8 near Barron.

I would think they definitely went west if police didn’t see any cars on the way to the house that night

The casino is not near Turtle Lake, it is in Turtle Lake city limits. A small part of Turtle Lake is also in Polk County.

As a semi-local to the Barron area, but who was born and raised in Northwestern Wisconsin, I want to say that even though it’s been 20 years since I was Jayme’s age, some things still don’t change, and by that, I mean the love that our communities have for its citizens, and the love that the citizens have for their communities.

Even with drugs, and cell phones, and the internet, and whatever, we are still hardworking (mostly blue-collar) people who know our neighbors, care about the cities we live in, and we will do anything to help each other out.

If there is any group of people who can find Jayme, it’s Sheriff Fitzgerald and the citizens of Northwestern Wisconsin. We know this area inside and out; we know what happens in our neighborhoods, on our streets.

I don’t know Jayme or her family, but I hold firm that Jayme is with someone that she knows, and that she is somewhere close by. I hope Polk County is actively searching throughout the county for Jayme.
Yes I get the sense that he is a dedicated and upright LE officer and sincerely hope he finds Jayme. I saw the casino on a map posted above when looking at Turtle Lake and it did make me think of money being owed to someone as a possible motive.

I had a reason behind my post regarding Wisconsin meat packaging plants. I found it interesting that all three towns mentioned today had one. They are NOT common where I live. I was wondering if there was some sort of connection between the family, the POI, and the meat packaging industry. The father worked for Jennie O. Could he have upset an employee or coworker who maybe no longer works at Jennie O but at another meat packaging facility. But apparently they are common place in Wisconsin and it means nothing....

Please forgive me if I am way off or this has been answered, as I am new to this case and way behind. If I understand correctly there were only two shots heard and they were very close together, but victims were not found close together. Perhaps the father was not shot in doorway but trying to get help or rescue his daughter when he collapsed and died in doorway. Also, did neighbors call LE when hearing gunshots? Perhaps, perp knew gunshots would not alarm neighbors. Living in rural area I often hear gunshots, hunters or target practice. MOO

I think the next door neighbour said last night on AB’s show that they thought it could be a neighbour shooting at a bear. They didn’t call the police.

DEVELOPING: Authorities just told volunteers that this is a 14 mile long crime scene. From city of Barron all the way to Turtle Lake. #JaymeCloss

Interesting.
For LE to consider this 14 mile stretch a crime scene... what led them to this location ?
My .02 is they've had cellphone pings that 'traveled' this direction.
Which would mean Jayme has her phone on her person ?
Or someone has her phone......

Jayme Closs disappearance: Sheriff asks for 100 volunteers to help in search for missing Wisconsin teen. - CNN

"One-hundred volunteers are needed," Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said a statement that directed people to meet at an intersection in the city on Thursday afternoon. Fitzgerald said the volunteers would help in a routine search for evidence.

. . .

But the sheriff said he has a "100% expectation that she's alive."

. . .

"Is it a random attack or a targeted attack? I don't know that answer," Fitzgerald told reporters. "That's why those leads are so important."

I was tryin to post video of the WDNR talking about the search being 1 mile west of to the city limits of Turtle lake. Searching both side of the road along ditch lines

Could be indeed. I’ve just never seen civilians called to assist at an active “crime scene”.

I think timing is also something to look at. That closed town hall meeting was held last night. I think LE got an earful from this small tight-nit community, wanting to do something to help and be involved. Also each group of civilian searchers has LE assigned to them, which I assume is why they only allowed the first 100 searchers...not enough LE to pair up with more searchers.

Jennie-O Turkey Store is rather large and specialized--only turkey products for the mass market. I worked for a bratwurst manufacturer in Sheboygan Falls, and the factory workers were pretty tight knit with each other, but you never know.

Stretch of Hwy 8 #JaymeCloss searchers are on right now. Courtesy Google maps. 14 miles total b/w Barron & Turtle Lake. Some may be familiar with the St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake. 100 volunteers. Plus law enforcement. Expected to take up to 3 hours. Monitoring developments...

This IS odd. Usually the family is advised to speak to the media/public. So many weird things about this case and do LE have Jayme's cell or not? Conflicting.

in an organized way at press conferences not off the cuff at searches.

BBM:
When they say a 14 mile "crime scene" does that mean they have found objects or blood and will they use canines in this search corridor?
