I've been following a few cases on here for a few weeks, but felt compelled to comment on this one.
I grew up in this area, and my mom was one of the volunteers today searching the woods. She gave me a little more insight about the family and things going on today. There was a lot of talk and tears, and this is all word of mouth, so I don't know how accurate it is. People know everyone's business in these little towns though, so I'm guessing there's truth to it. But apparently this isn't the first time this little girl has wandered off...just earlier that evening, she apparently walked down the road to the neighbors and the neighbor lady brought her home. It's not a short distance that she walked either! In the past Reena has also walked into the town, which is a hike! She is also not scared of water, and the dad apparently had to fish her out of the dam before. Makes me sick to my stomach that they didnt supervise this little girl with all that water around.
A family friend that works for the DNR was diving in the water today, so there is active search in the water, as we all read. The are dragging the river. The wooded area around the house is so dense, that there is little doubt she went that route, especially since she normally walked the road when wandering off. The FBI arrived this afternoon too. The community as a whole is really shaken and just want to find this little girl!
