I don't believe she will change it to an accident. I believe someone else in the family will get blamed.

You just listed them. All of them, any of them. People have been convicted of murder with a lot less. Scott P was convicted and sentenced to death in CA based on circumstantial evidence. They had enough to get a conviction before they found Caylee. You don't need to know the cause of death to prove it's a murder. If it's not a homicide then it has to be:

1. Natural causes??
2. Accidental??? I don't think she fell in the bag with duct tape around her head and threw herself in the swamp accidentally. ( Has duct-tape around skull been verified? This would be the evidence needed. )
3. Suicide? (??)

If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck and lies like a duck....it's a duck. :banghead:

You may be right but every argument requires a devil's advocate .... if not one is unprepared.

Good post.

If they get change of venue - say in an urban area of Miami - where trust of LE may not be the same as other places, etc.... could be interesting.

It will be somewhere like Gainesville or somewhere reasonably close. They won't go that far away because of the time and expense for LE and witnesses.

I thought Gainesville because they could find a lot of young women for the jury. They sure don't want a retirement area where people's life experience would recognize the lies immediately.

He is misleading her into thinking she can walk just like her parents have allowed.
There does not seem to be one person who is willing to teach her to be accountable.
I watched the Neil Entwisell trial on tv and was surprised and happy to see his attorneys just seem to be there to see he didn't get railroaded for a murder charge.
But they appeared to believe in his guilt from what I could see.
I know defense attorneys have a job to do but I have no respect for the ones that
make clients believe they are innocent when the attorney knows they are guilty
as in JCoccoran and FLBailey just to win. Hope her targe^ flip flops prove her lies.

I know a woman who's aunt and uncle were viscously murdered and the defense attorney used every trick in the book to get this guy off. In the process he really upset the family.

At the end of the trial he approached the family and told them he was sorry but he had to do that so the chances of him winning an appeal would be limited.

I think that was a good explanation but I don't believe every attorney is motivated by nobility.

I agree with you on that and no they haven't announced the slam dunk physical evidence that ties KC directly to the remains. They may hold that close to the vest for now. One doesn't know. I do know, after looking at the facts that we have been presented, that any reasonable person should be able to see that she did it. How and when have yet to be explained. For now we just have rough estimates and theories. I don't think that the SAO should have to disprove every single one of KC's zany excuses. I think that after disproving at least the first 100 of her lies that we can take it as fact that she is a habitual liar.

I'm just imagining JB cross examining YM and asking him "So Corporal M, can prove with 100% certainty that my client and her daughter were not abducted by aliens and taken to the planet Zebulon for medical experiments that resulted in the death of my clients daughter?"

They will grasp at straws just like the OJ defense team did and hopefully there will be 12 people that will be able to see past their BS and see the defendant as the child murderer she is.

Well thanks for that explanation It does make me feel better.

Get one Scientologist on the jury and ya never know.

I actually understand his concern.

However, from my narrow experience I have found this to be one of the best run boards that I have visited. Ok, back on topic for me.

Only a joke, only a joke. :)

Not likely, just pointing out there are still places where people aren't glued to the TV/internet like we are.

Where people here on WS know most of the details of this crime, you would be surprised how few people are really that interested. The market in Orlando might be saturated because of the media attention but even there many are too busy with their own lives to know much about it. Most know she was killed, her body found and her mother on trial for murder.

I personally think with a city as large and diverse as Orlando, she could get the best trial there, but let them take it where they will. She is going to be convicted no matter where they take it.

Her story will change and that will make her look ever guiltier IMO. Just like the surprise revelation by Neil E's defense that Rachel killed Lillian and then herself. Surprise- life without parole for you!

If I had not read from the first and I heard that I would assume she is guilty. But I have had the chance to read the pros and cons and I think that has had me go both ways but I have decided the info leads to Casey has a biggg problem.....

I think there is way more to this whole story.....not sure who the players are yet....but I have a feeling that LE is going to offer a plea to KC in exchanged for what she has on someone else.....or elses......stuff we dont even know.....

I feel a storm a comin
just my thoughts......

Being "framed for murder" is Perry Mason stuff--it doesn't actually happen in real life. Does it?

You're soo right TT, all of America has seen this case on FOX, CNN and MSNBC,...daily no matter where you live! ( I'm in So. Cal)

We are all stunned by this very sad and tragic event. I believe no matter where this trial is heard..Casey hasn't a prayer of aquittal, much less a MS charge.

Hugs to sweet Angel Caylee, in Heaven above...

Back......

Yeah, I know what you mean. It just bothers me that so few facts are truly known yet by any of us and all the opinion meisters run wild. The "facts" will change a hundred times. I mean no insult - but unless you want to sit here for hous on end talking about how quilty Casey is - not much need to be here. A lot of busy work and if this drags on and on before a trial - what are you all going to do to entertain yourselves? I just wonder - you know.

The case is so highly emotionally charged, there is no possible way to reign in all of the opinions whether pro or con. I consider myself to be a pretty much of a fact monger and I can't do it (for myself). I think most people are so horrified by the senseless loss of Caylee and consider the sensible thing to do is to be certain that justice will be served, in a court of law. I'm waiting for all of the evidence at trial to come to a final conclusion, but too also worry about Casey's ability to receive a fair trial. I think much more information has been released than LE would have preferred, even though the bulk of it points to their favor. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sunshine Law is revised in the future to prevent such a public trial before a legal trial in the future. Who knows?

I am totally with you on this one !!

I lived in Orlando for a long time. I think it is very possible to find a good jury. But FL is a law and order state. They don't like BS. JB is a lot of BS, imo. And I must say I adore the Sunshine Law. One of my favorite things about FL!

It's not a bad thing but if it interferes with the way the justice system operates I'm not certain that it is a good thing either. I was under the impression that it was adopted to make certain that tax paying citizens could keep an eye on how the government was making use of their monies.
