Additional testimonies given in McCauley trial - WV MetroNews

“Denise Deaver, McCauley’s former partner, told the court she saw McCauley’s green pickup truck in front of Riley’s home on the day of the teenager’s disappearance. Deaver noted she found it unusual that the vehicle was backed into a space between the house and a shed, which would have meant McCauley had to run over a large pile of trash to get into that space. She also said the passenger door was open.”

Strange lack of coverage on this one, but here's a brief recap of Day 2, from a reporter who appears to have spoken briefly with someone who watched CourtTV:

Day two of the trial on Tuesday, which is being live-streamed on Court TV, featured eight witnesses, all of whom presented testimony to the whereabouts of McCauley on the days in question in early May of that year, as well as to why police first becoming suspicious of him because of inconsistencies when he was interviewed.

McCauley, who was the boyfriend of Crossman’s mother, Chantal Oakley, and resided with the family, has been placed by witnesses and video in a green truck believed to have carried Crossman’s body to where it was dumped. The truck has been identified by witnesses as being at the girl’s home on the day of her disappearance when McCauley should have been at work.

And McCauley’s co-workers have said he left the job site that day, with one saying he didn’t see him for about 5 hours.

“Police also testified to blood evidence found in the home in several locations and jurors have also heard that Crossman had sent a text to her boyfriend that said “Andy is in my room, and I am scared,” the night before Crossman went missing. The boyfriend had fallen asleep and didn’t see the text until the next day.”

This article only listed 2 of the 8 witnesses that testified.

and this article I can't access. Does it have any witnesses names besides West Virginia State Police Cpl. F.H. Edwards & Denise Deaver, McCauley’s former partner.

Sorry to be such a bother - but would like to keep up with my notes. TIA! :)

Trial starts for man accused of murdering 15-year-old Riley Crossman

Crossman’s body was found May 16 in the 5500 block of Tuscarora Pike in Berkeley County. There was drywall compound all over her body and on foliage around her, James said. Several contractor-weight trash bags were also found with the body.

McCauley was a construction worker and his boss at the time said McCauley showed up to a site one day saying he needed three of the bags, James said. “
