I just ran out to run an errand and literally saw two Brian look-alikes. I was out for an hour. Just goes to show you how many people look like this guy. Needle in a haystack. He could be anywhere. MOO

Brian really does have a nondescript appearance, at first glance. I saw someone that could have been Brian running in my neighborhood on my way home from work. I’m seeing him everywhere!!!!!!!!!

I really want to read that affidavit.

True. Also, from what I'm gleaning so far trying to catch up with this fast-moving threads is that the timeline doesn't fit; however, I do think the guy in this photo looks like Brian L., especially if he'd lost weight (someone mentioned the legs being much thinner than BL's).
I really wasn’t buying it initially. It’s the tattoo matching that has me hung up on this. I mean, there is clearly a tattoo on the same wrist as we see on Brian in the body cam footage. The dates are all wrong though.

And also, IF he used Gabby’s card in Benton, IL, would this suggest he did not take a direct route home?

I don't want to tie up this thread with opinions, so I'll just say it all now. I am a parent/grandparent/great grandparent - I tried to think how I would react. (disclaimer, I am tough love parent). I honestly don't know how DL parents can continue to be so stoic, if they know something or not - this has to be shaking their world. Do they know anything, then by not talking it has to be eating them, same thing about not knowing, they have to be feeling immense sadness & grief, for Gabby, but if not, at least for their son. Their life is forever changed, how long can they keep their silence? MOO

Perhaps they haven't continued to keep their silence. They had a police 'escort' when they left their house ... would the police be doing that if they were being entirely uncooperative?

Perhaps they have just decided not to say anything publicly. Which is their option. No matter what others think about their choices.

We can all speculate about what we would and wouldn't do in their situation. I hope that none of us ever needs to find out.

From articles that I read last night, they dont appear to be bad parents and were conducive to a decent family atmosphere for their family - often being seen on family bike rides together, for example. (Not only recently.)

(These comments are not aimed directly at your post, just jumping off your post :) )

Think about it- you just killed someone- and you’re trying to high tail it back to Florida in under 3days-

do you have the time to find a private dealer and arrange a purchase when you don’t know anyone. Also- how much time would it take?

As far as other purchases, the original Cabelas is in Cheyenne right near I80 and if needed to pick up some outdoor equipment quickly he could grab it here. It’s pretty busy usually so he wouldn’t probably even be remembered as remarkable or unusual either.
About the Cabela's, that's the kind of store I'd expect would have an excellent surveillance recording system.

I can’t wait for them to find this kid and haul him in.

I stayed up all night to see Scott Peterson booked!
I hope the floated theory is right ..that the parents are working on turning him in with this new lawyer. Said person is such a lazy ,self centered, entitled raging 5 year old …I do not think he offed himself .

NORTH PORT — The Boohoff Law firm is offering a reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Brian Laundrie, the 23-year-old North Port man who is a person of interest in the disappearance of his girlfriend, Gabrielle Petito.

The reward is $20,000, according to Kate Shakira, an employee of the firm's North Port office.

Most excellent.

I think about that too!

A crack in the facade IMO. He was playing the role of this goofy guy, friendly guy, just worried about his crazy girlfriend (his words).

But he just couldn’t help himself, he had to show he’s morally superior, he is above everyone, he doesn’t drink from plastic. Such arrogance.

Never mind that he eats from plastic, like the other poster said. He could’ve been polite and just grab the water… but like I said, couldn’t help himself.

MOO
I have been thinking BL's "supposed objections" to plastic may have caused his temper tantrum at Merry Piglets. I mean usually, if you are a reasonable person, the "customer is treated as being right."

It could be the case that *IF* Brian’s parents are or have aided him in some way and are complicit that it is more one parent trying to protect him, and the other being co-erced/ threatened into going along with it.

It could easily be that one parent really does believe that BL should hand himself in to authorities, but the other parent maintains the control in the relationship so their ‘say’ is final.

If this is the case I can’t see it being long before tensions start to show…

MOO

You won't see murder charges before the autopsy is final. No way.
So the fact that they haven't dropped those isn't at all surprising and means nothing IMO

Also no need for LE to reveal more than they need to at this point. Better to arrest Brian on a separate charge, then question him and determine if/how he knows details related to Gabby's death, especially details that he shouldn't know if he had nothing to do with her death. There are many advantages to arresting him and not revealing all their evidence. They can also get his DNA, fingerprints, etc, all of which whill aid Gabby's homicide investigation (and help with possibly linking him to other cases, if any). As an aside, by this point, I would guess preliminary cause of death is known, with pending tox and patholgy for confirmation. But guessing it's just not made public so LE can retain the upper hand.

just my opinion and conjecture

Brian's Attorney Statement from today -

READ THAT clearly from Brian's attorney.

Activities occurring AFTER the death of Gabby.

Arrest warrant is for activities occurring between 8/30-9/1.

Brian Laundrie's ATTORNEY knows the time of death was before 8/30.

Well the FBI announcement said as much.

https://twitter.com/FBIDenver/status/1441155529393389568

"On September 22, 2021, the U.S. District Court of Wyoming issued a federal arrest warrant for Brian Christopher Laundrie pursuant to a Federal Grand Jury indictment related to Mr. Laundrie’s activities following the death of Gabrielle Petito." [emphasis mine]

From the warrant (ETA: Indictment not warrant), it mentions one debit card and two account numbers. Would this be like a checking and savings? Just curious.
Yes. But it could also mean a checking/credit card or savings/credit card under the same bank. For example, I have a chase checking account but I also have a chase credit card. Two different account numbers but I can withdrawal money from either account (considered a cash advance w/ cc) using a single card.
