Where is AL going with this? I'm not seeing where this supports her argument too well, talking about studies between death-qualified and other juries.

poor judge SS.......he is rubbing his hands now.....he is looking frustrated....kc still reading some paper work jb gave to her.....

what is the point of AL's arguement? Isn't this something that normally would be done after conviction?

on CNN it is JB talking to KC - I wish they would put the camera on them so we could read their lips

JB: So... after they stop taping our visits you wanna do the Twizzler thing again?

The look on Judge's face reminds me of when he allowed the Anthonys their hearing for the autopsy release, he has his mind made up..... and he is letting her go through the motions because he must. He has been studying this is it or is not constitutional for her to be charged with the DP since it was put back on. It is not lost on him that the whole world is watching. I really think he knows all the cases she is siting backwards and forwards and anticipates everything she is going to say.

All one would have to do when preparing for a trial against her is look at her prior trial, study the arguments she makes , insert Casey's name, and voila you know where she is going. Much like a coach may show his team videos of the opposing team's games and zoom in on their good plays so he may discuss how to combat their super stars. Elementary my dear. She is too easy. I am bored, but hanging around for the state's response.

Ut oh... sombody has a hot mic at the defense or state's table on True TV, you can hear what they are whispering. Not cool.

What did they say ??? What did they say??? I missed it ..

It's unbelievable how she goes on and on. She has a captive audience.

yes. but they are trying to convince the judge to remove the dp from the table at all.

Hello all I am sitting at the dr's office and getting alerts on less than constructive posts ie comments about physical appearance, weight, and petty things that are not important to this case. Watch the the bashing type posts about anyone. Raise the level. Please self edit if you should. Ill be in later to check what happened today!

Trying to behave Jill, but with all due respect, AL herself called Casey "small" and herself big.

Also, hope your appointment goes quickly and smoothly!

So, does KC display a tell sign when anyone talks about bodies, murder, a 2 year-old dying? I have to wonder if she is still prone to panic attacks. I would like to know what her face looked like/body language when she was interviewed at Universal, and Melich talked about Caylee being in a trash can-JB and AL will have to work with her on this, because there are going to be much more powerful things presented at trial, IMO.

She's still talking about death-qualified jury studies, no correlation with why state should remove death penalty other than that it will not fare well for her client. She should link her arguments to the law, not studies about juries.

I must not be a fair person as right now I'd be banging down my gavel and saying it's definitely a death penalty case - shut up!

  • #475
Isn't this an argument for the U.S. Supreme Court, or at the very least the Florida Supreme Court in support of doing away with the death penalty in general? Tough cookie that KC is charged with the death penalty...so what? She's one among many. She's not special.

She is trying to get a different kind of jury to sit on the case. Judge just asked AL if she's asking him to "reinvent the wheel."

"Aren't you asking me to reinvent the wheel?" ~SS

LOL I love it.

Sorry, but I think Strickland is trying to look interested.

Lyon's strategy is to bury with words, IMO. She is definitely making a political statement-this has nothing to do with this particular case per se. JMO.

Strickland will let the DP go forward.

JS to AL: "Aren't you asking me to reinvent the wheel? This has already been done."
