Me too passion. IMO defense is just trying to create more confusion by dragging innocents behind the bus......oh I meant 'throwing uner the bus'.

I sat quietly (except for some head banging on desk and wishing I could reach through my screen and give Baez a smack on the side of the head) watching this hearing and couldn't even bring myself to add to the running commentary with thanks to the posters who did.

Geez - what to say! Baez is a MORON - I would think he'd get bored making a complete of himself over and over again - but NO! We get to see it again.

Wow - and Missie Casey no longer thinks he is her hero - did you see the looks on her face she gave him? Whew!

And Cheney? Good thing he has a mustache and beard - but even he wasn't able to hide his expression of resigned amazement - instead of the poker face he wanted.

Nejame - 10/10 - Baez - 1/10 Baez gets one point for showing up.

No kidding. It'd be different if JB actually had a valid argument. His is painfully weak.

MN needs to argue that if this were allowed, nobody would ever want to volunteer again for fear of some pathetic excuse of an atty is going to drag their names through the mud for no good reason.

Love, love, love Mark. He mopped the floor with Baez, I expect the judge will rule today. He was none too amused with Baez. When he started rocking early on, Baez should have known he was toast.

Even Casey can surely see after today that Baez has got to go. It is beyond negligence and I hope the judge does award sanctions to wake the defense up! When Linda stood up and explained that the very common practice of reviewing and tabbing documents is very simple, I spit my pop all over the desk. You just can't make this stuff up!

To me it seemed that Baez was trying to put on a show for Mason and he failed miserably because Nejame wiped the floor with him. Baez was all over the place, could barely string a full sentence together and was stuttering a lot reaching for words that weren't coming for the majority of the time. He made outlandish claims and basically showed what his defense will be.

If you are asking yourselves does Casey still think she will get acquitted then the answer is a resounding yes!

Baez told us today if there is evidence that Caylee was put where she was eventually found while his client was in jail then he will be able to make a good case for reasonable doubt to a jury resulting in an acquittal. I'm paraphrasing but this is what he more or less said today.

Did everyone catch the bit when Nejame turned and yelled at Baez to "come to his office and see the records!" The camera panned back to Casey and Baez showing smirks on both their faces then them shaking their heads in reaction to Nejame yelling. That for me was the best bit.

. Waltzing Matilda is a song. I luv it. Good thing cuz it's stuck. My hubby goes into the OR for anesthesia induction,with our son, whenever he has surgery. He sings Wheels on the Bus to him every time and tnd the docs and nurses get it stuck in their heads.

Back on topic,I hope JS uses firm language in his ruling. Kinda like when he sealed the video of KC's reaction to the news Caylee had been found. Too prejudicial to the prisoner to paraphrase.I hope he smacks JB down a few notches. Thanks again, friends!

Pretty clear to see the contempt they both have for Nejame. Casey was throwing him some fairly savage looks.

This might just be me:angel: and I certainly respect JS for the time and consideration he gives to his rulings in this case but...

I so wish he would make just one major ruling IN COURT after the attorneys are finished speaking so we could watch KC's reaction! :croc:

It seems like most of JS's rulings are given out later and KC gets her attorneys version of the ruling..

lol, but Baez is also the one that told us poor innocent Casey is being vilianized and victimized. There is no way that man can offer up a shred of believable evidence that the body was placed there through some sort of conspiracy AFTER Casey was incarcerated. When you have no defense, blow a lot of hot air. Juries are pretty savy these days and will give all that hot air all the weight it deserves.

Here is my whole take on today: Defense doesn't have a specific SODDI. JB let the cat out of the proverbial bag today by admitting that they, the defense, don't know what they are looking for.
If say, the defense had determined after investigating, researching (it is called reading documents and deposing witnesses and not having the state do your work for you...I am writing directly to you, JB on this one) that there someone whom they intended to finger at trial...a specific someone...and the purpose of today's hearing was to get information from TES on just that one specific person, then fine...I have no problem with it...

But JB just announced in open court he is going on a "fishing expedition" and no Judge wants to honor that in its entirety...

I'm thinking this is the LAST hearing we are going to see where Baez is allowed to keep arguing the SAME requests that JS has always ruled on....just trying to get the ruling he wants. The difference is - NOW IT IS THE TAXPAYERS PAYING FOR HIS BS rambling. JS didn't care as long as KC was paying for his ridiculous behavior, but now.....it is the citizens of FL paying for it.
