To me it seemed that Baez was trying to put on a show for Mason and he failed miserably because Nejame wiped the floor with him. Baez was all over the place, could barely string a full sentence together and was stuttering a lot reaching for words that weren't coming for the majority of the time. He made outlandish claims and basically showed what his defense will be.

If you are asking yourselves does Casey still think she will get acquitted then the answer is a resounding yes!

Baez told us today if there is evidence that Caylee was put where she was eventually found while his client was in jail then he will be able to make a good case for reasonable doubt to a jury resulting in an acquittal. I'm paraphrasing but this is what he more or less said today.

I wonder why Cheney went along with this? Surely he knows JB is wrong.Maybe a red herring?

I honestly don't think JB tries to put on a show. I honestly think he is EXTREMELY stupid and inept. I have been in the legal profession as an administrative assistant for 30 years. I could seriously get up and argue a whole hell of a lot more effectively than JB. I have really never seen anything quite like it. I have, of course, seen stupid attorneys. JB is so obviously out of his league. He doesn't even know how the discovery process works. He honestly believes that the state should hand over EVERYTHING and he will go from there. No investigating, deposing, questioning on his own of witnesses or following a true defense tract. Just see what they've got and go from there. It is really pitiful.

I thought I caught Baez saying he was a lawyer they were waiting on - did not catch the name.

I believe JB was referring to the attorney representing Joe Jordan...supposedly he was going to show up today...but as per usual whenever JB is involved Peeps and Documents somehow don't make it into court...the whole "bats with rabies gnawed my homework into shreds" thing...lol

I'm no lawyer but even I knew that it had been argued all before.

I'm thinking this is the LAST hearing we are going to see where Baez is allowed to keep arguing the SAME requests that JS has always ruled on....just trying to get the ruling he wants. The difference is - NOW IT IS THE TAXPAYERS PAYING FOR HIS BS rambling. JS didn't care as long as KC was paying for his ridiculous behavior, but now.....it is the citizens of FL paying for it.

Lord, let's hope so. I'd love to hear JS call him out. Say "Look, now that this is on FL's dime, get your act together. Come to court with valid arguments and organized. Quit your rambling about nonsense or I'm throwing you out"

Thank you. ITA!

Mark Eiglarsh on Insession says JB is trying to try his case in the court of public opinion.

Quote respect waltzingmatilda :)

Is he fairing any better with that? What is the "public's opinion?" I have an idea about what the majority of (those who post) WS feel regarding Casey. I don't want to assume the public is the same...but I think...they are...?

From my experience, usually the court won't do that publically in a hearing UNLESS it is during a trial and the attorney has gone way, way over the limit. JS will do it in his ruling. On paper. And anybody with any sense (sans JB) will get it.

A recording that was illegally obtained. If that makes it through, casey's jailhouse reaction of her childs remains being found should be opened up as well.

The Jailhouse reaction wasn't illegally obtained. It's being held, because it would be very reactionary.

JB "To allow a third party to decide what defense should get is impeding out investigation"

"JJ & LB stated they know her body wasn't there before"

"Very circumstantial case. SA stretching things"

TRUTV has JB on live right now in an interview. JB saying the whole case is circumstantial...the state is impeding on their case...they will have NaJame on next...and that is an interview I can't wait to watch.

That would be true. But there isn't such evidence. He isn't even willing to search for such evidence, cause he knows there isn't such evidence. He just wants to SAY that there MIGHT be such evidence.. and that should be enough to prove it so.

And THAT will not fly with a jury.

JB "volunteers know they are interjecting themselves into criminal case and should be investigated"

So, Jose wants to know why he is being kept from the information he needs. Okay. Why can't the judge look and see and say: this is what is being done, let Jose have what he needs? Why can't there be an answer?

This can't be how law works.

RE: MN stating JB could go to office -- JB "We shouldn't have to go to his office", accuses MN holding pressers just to get info out (what?!?)
