I saw a nervous Cindy. She smiled a few times, mouthed "I love you" to Casey as she was leaving, but I also so her looking quite nervous. At one point she had her hands up to her mouth and her hands were visably shaking.

She was chewing her nails. :woohoo:

How disrespectful of "Ms Lyons", (sorry I can't help but mispronounce her name after what JB said-in fact I think I will mispronounce it till the end ) to be off doing something else while this hearing was taking place, making the judge shout her name a few times to get her attention! Geesh! Pathetic....even JB was shaking his head in disbelief!!

Maybe this was a misguided way to impress on everyone that they are being extremely frugal with the taxpayers' money. "See, we didn't splurge on a plane ticket (not even to meet the new judge!), and we purchased Ms. Lyon's speakerphone from the toy department at K-Mart..." :angel:

I think Cindy being giddy means she is glad this is finally happening and there is an end in sight. I personally think she has been done with Casey for a long time and dreaded this whole nightmare taking more and more time as the defense kept delaying. I think she is happy that Baez is looking more and more like he's in over his head, and that no matter what, this trial is happening and things are finally getting seriously under way.

I don't think she wants Casey dead, but in jail for the rest of her life. I think Cindy and George can live with that. George seems down about it, but I think they both realize how this is finally going to end. The reality is clear - no swaggering out of court, found innocent, on CM's arm for Casey!

Speaking of CM, did anyone else get the impression that he looked awfully meek sitting there today? I thought it strange that he didn't speak up once for all the bravado talk and the motion he filed to recuse JSS. He looked a little worried to me.

Also when hearing was over and KC was leaving it looked like she spat out an angry comment to JB. I need to rewatch to see if I saw what I think I did. Anyone else catch that?

From today forward, I'm gonna work really hard to say LyonS. I just could not believe JB was using the courtroom to make this correction, and it seemed to be directed to LDB. Why couldn't he have justed mentioned it to her after the hearing. JB really, truly is a classless, arrogant jerk.

I got a phone call and missed what the Judge was saying that made Cindy smile, anybody know what he said that caused her to smile.

Cindy was hoping to get invited to join the jury in Chutes and Ladders! :crazy:

This is what we have been waiting for. For Casey to stand trial and answer the charges of which she is accused.

Today was a step forward, might I say a giant leap forward in FINALLY getting a little closer to justice for CAYLEE.

There will be an end to the interminable motions.

The trial will start.

Caylee will not be forgotten amongst the legal wrangling and will one day be free of the stench of her awful demise - then we can all mourn her and let her be.

Yes ITA! This will be justice for Caylee! Judge Perry rocks. This was not a good thing for the defense, but it sure was a wonderful day for Caylee!!!

And since Judge Perry is not on normal rotation he has PLENTY of time to devote to this case.

That was my favorite, he is going to hear their motions, including the DP ones in one week. He threw that in there so casually, one could infer he didn't think it would take much to dispense of those in very short order, indeed!

Get ready, now or never, Andrea. You are not going to get a third shot at asking a Florida judge to declare the law of the state, voted on by the voters of the state, to be unconstitutional. How did Judge Strickland say it..."Aren't you asking me to reinvent the wheel. I cannot go against statutes!"

I bet we will have a wonderful amount of priceless quotes going forward.

CM not being meek, just observing as a good defense attorney should. He was taking in the lay of the landscape he must now tread.

IMO, this is just another example of what a 'cluster-*&#' this defense has been. Granted, they don't have much to work with, however, it appears there are too many chiefs, with none in control. The judge won't stand for this.

The seriousness of this trial is not lost on this judge and I appreciate it.

Didn't get a chance to post this before but before the Judge came in Baez was showing Casey stuff on his phone...obviously don't know what it was but Mason didn't look that happy about it, Casey on the other hand seemed enthralled.

I am sure I've read that he and JBP have met in the courtroom before, so pretty sure he knows how to tread in his presence.
