OMG - I think I'll puke if I find out Dede was taking the naughty pictures of Terri that she ended up sending to MC. Where's that puke icon at?

Based on the link, it looks like TH and MC were in the habit of texting late at night - probably well past baby K's and parental bedtimes. I wouldn't be surprised at this point. Seriously. UGH.

I wonder if it's possible that Terri got Houze pro bono. Possibly she could have met with him, he reviewed her case (or maybe he even contacted her first!) and said for these type cases it would cost up to $350K to defend. But, I will do it pro bono. Give me a dollar and I will be your attorney. And then she had to sign something that said she would not discuss that he was her pro bono attorney because then everyone would come to him wanting pro bono representation? Just a thought. I did see that he has done pro bono cases in the past.

Nurse...what do you think that this means? That the sexual images involved Dede and Terri? Or that there's a possibility that it was Dede doing the sexting?
according to the affidavit they were btwn terri and mc...

but the fact that dds was most likely a house guest during that time frame is kinda funky to me. And also were her parents also there at the same time???

~snip~

Terri Horman had said the only change in their household was the arrival of her dad, Larry Moulton, from Roseburg to support her. Her mom, Carol, has been with the family since soon after Kyron's disappearance to help out.

does it matter that she had a houseful of guests while sexting and sending graphic sexual pictures of herself in various stages of undress to MC at the time? I guess not so much. But it sures makes you wonder... or I should say, it makes me wonder what the heck she was thinking.

I am anything but a prude, and I find this disgusting. Not the sex part, but just the fact that she has all these people at the house to "help her," people bringing groceries, food, stuff, people printing fliers to find kyron, searchers out in the woods...and she is doing this kind of stuff.

I wonder if she even knows what appropriate behavior is.

I wonder how Terri asking Michael Cook to lie to Houze went over with Houze, if he's pro bono. Or even if she's paying him.

Again, all speaks to her character, or lack thereof.

I completely agree. What could be her mindset at this time? Lets just say she has absolutely nothing to do with Kyron's disappearance. Is this what goes through her mind?

My Step son is missing, LE is asking me a ton of uncomfortable questions, they think I tried to have my husband killed, my husband has moved out and taken my baby girl.....I think I'll send some nudie pictures to a guy I just met and see if we could hook up?

I'd be surprised if Dede even knew about the "sexting" before we did. Just because she was staying with her does not mean she was peering over her shoulder every minute. Yes, it's kinky for Terri to be doing that, but not criminal and whatever the truth, she said she believed Kaine was having an affair. Maybe a certain part of the marriage had been over for a while. It's bizarre but harmless, IMO, as long as the photos were only of herself and only sent to a consenting adult. Taking pictures of the RO bother me more than this stuff.

With absolutely no snark intended, I would be amazed if there was a receipt which showed payment for human trafficking.

BUT, if Kaine Horman continues to use his divorce as a way to try his wife without any charges against her for the disappearance of his son, I have a feeling that will backfire on him, badly.

A receipt? Seriously? When LE looks for possession of money in a person who might otherwise not be expected to have any, I'm certain they are not looking for a receipt. They are looking for a thread to trace back to a source of funds - be it drugs or theft or any other activity. If Terri had funds that Kaine didn't know about, it would be a clue. And the source of the funds would be another clue. And the ultimate story would be composed of many different clues that were gathered through various sources.

I don't blame Kaine one bit for doing everything in his power to figure out the truth of what happened in his marriage and to his son. If he thinks this will help uncover some other "truth" - even one so relatively mundane as "Terri lies a lot" or "Terri was engaged in an affair" - then I'm behind him. I'm sure Kaine has good legal counsel who won't let a grieving, angry, bewildered and lost man take over the reins of the criminal investigation through his divorce, but I wouldn't blame them at all for trying to get some evidence of some truth, no matter how seemingly small to those standing on the outside.

Tangentially, I read in Elizabeth Edwards' book Resilience that after her teenage son died, she would sometimes be compelled to walk into his room and look for him in the drawers of his dresser. Intellectually she knew her son had died and in any case could not fit in a dresser drawer, but in her grief and anguish she would still open the drawer to look.

Maybe Kaine is dealing with his grief in ways that appear a certain way to someone on the outside, but make perfect sense to him in the moment. An immediate divorce, or forcing Terri to provide some evidence to him of something related to his son, even tangentially, might be a compelling need for him right now while deep in his grief. As long as Kaine isn't doing anything illegal (hoping his attorney is watching over that) or something that harms those around him, I think the man should be allowed to just deal in whatever way he can.

As always Ami, your posts are dead-on and thanks isn't enough.

sbm

Yes, and that should apply to all.

It only applies to those who are genuinely grieving. If Terri did not participate in Kyron's abduction then the sexting could easily be part of a real grieving process and would be IMO more understandable in that context.

Likewise, were Kaine unofficially suspected of abducting or killing his own son, his legal inquiries into Terri's finances and his push for divorce would seem aggressive and a bit sick.

As it stands LE believes him to be innocent of that act, so his actions are understandable to me. If Terri is cleared of the RO violation and whatever else they suspect her of, then her actions with MC can certainly be considered just her way of dealing with tragedy.

Per the article, this is interesting wording:

Kyron Horman has not been seen since the morning of June 4 when he attended a science fair at Skyline School. No arrests have been made. Terri Horman was the last known adult to have seen the boy.
