I am taking this revelation with a HUGE grain of salt given the sole source .... AH. AH hasn't been on HLN for a while so is this another 'hit'?

Unless Shoemaker or LE are sharing info with AH then I don't know where he is getting this from and why the source would want these 'facts' shared, to warn Misty?

Either there was a fight over a gun or there wasn't. RC claimed from the beginning that there wasn't. Now, he admits there was.

This is new out of RC's mouth...but it is not new information. Whether the gun fight had anything to do with what happened to Haleigh or not, the fact remains that Ron lied about the fight from the beginning.

MOO, at this point, RC is going with the story that is least likelly to be disproved, to save HOB!:furious:

The point I am trying to make...IF...Ron was sending Misty all these text messages..instead of calling her....Perhaps in receiving a text message the phone ringer is SILENT and therefore..where ever..she/he is...they can communicate without ALERTING they are on the phone...in their surroundings............anyone??? thanks

On my phone, I can have one ring tone for calls, and a different one (or silent) for text. So I think you are right.

You are right, of course. We must never lose sight of the fact that shows like NG and JVM are not news shows, but entertainment shows. They discuss whatever the ratings dictate and they spin it as the ratings dictate.

No vigils ...No increased reward money...no media attention of Haleigh and any information regarding her...No search parties..no investigations..

all is silent...as well as TN and her family...

plus...they speak of her...in the PAST TENSE.....

Either Ron has told LE this before, or he has not, obvioulsy. If he has, then this is not new information that LE didn't have, so why the deal; and if he hasn't, He has hindered the investigation by withholinng information.:waitasec: I think.

The so called source is AH. I am just not terribly impressed, and just have to wonder if there is anything valid in what AH and his sources say! I will just wait until I hear this from LE.

Good point!! If you cannot get them in a criminal trial then nail them in a civil case ... not that they have anything to go after.

It's still a good idea. Even if a civil action can only result in a monetary ruling, it would prevent any of them from reaping the benefits of future book or movie deals. There may never be enough evidence to convict the perp(s) in criminal court, so if no one can be locked up for the crime at least a civil action, if successful, would be a positive move to prevent anyone from making money off Haleigh's suffering.

I think it is totally transparent why he absolutely does not want a jury to decide his sorry fate. He knows that they would fry him. He is depending on the judge as he has so many times in the past. It has always worked for him, let's see how this one works for him.

It's funny that you mentioned that, justus4all. I do it all the time. Really, I do. I can set my text message ring tones to whatever I want (like music, or different ringtones). I can also put it on vibrate or silent. I prefer silent or vibrate because I do not have to disturb everyone at work. And plus at work we're not allowed on the phone unless on break or lunch. So texting is the next best thing while working. I can totally see Ron texting while at work. You can go unnoticed texting on your phone. Trust me, I know.

But on a different note, my friend does the same thing but for other reasons. She does it to hide her infidelity.
