2011.01.05 Hearing TES Volunteer Computer Subpoena

[/B]

I wonder if that is the route Baez will take post trial to make any attempt to salvage his "reputation". Wailing - I had no choice!

Meh! :furious:

Unfortunately for Baez he would still be bound by client attorney privelege.
Reputation wise..... he's in a catch 22. I do think though that he will bail as soon as he can. i.e he wont be around for the appeal.

Well, he's stuck for now thanks to that nice new law...he's not going anywhere anytime soon...

I wonder if Mr Baez has his eye on a new career after this case.....trial commentator? talk show host? politics? :waitasec:

Well he always has his old career of Bikini Salesman to fall back on. Heck he could even use "His Girl" to help him push the product! (yes folks this is the latest in prison swim-wear. Note the lovely and unique inmate ID number tastefully individually stenciled on the left boob.)

Gosh Paintr, I don't think anyone would want him for those jobs either. About the only thing I can think of that he is capable of actually doing, and not messing it up, is........ cleaning up after the horses you PAINT! But, then who would pay him for an invisible job? hehe

LOL! I reckon he is already being paid for an 'invisible' job, judging by the hearings we've seen so far.

I agree with you on some things, he does know he's in over his head, he is ill-prepared but I don't see a lessening of arrogance or confidence. You only have to read his emails to Mr Ashton and observe his willful and deliberate defiance of the court order to see that his arrogance is very much present and accounted for. I don't see a defeated attitude. I saw a pissy attitude at being sanctioned and I saw a pissy attitude at Judge Perry because the Judge was cutting through his BS at the JJ hearing and putting him on the spot. Baez doesn't like being cut off mid sentence or when his rhetoric is stopped short. Baez was very confident, in my opinion, that the Judge was NOT going to sanction him, hence his very responses to the Judge at that hearing.

I remember very well the words of Richard Hornsby many months ago saying "this defense team is lazy - they have done no work!"

His arrogance just boggles my mind. I can almost understand CM's arrogance, he has 40 years of experience and a mostly good reputation to bolster his attitude. What does JB have? It seems like this arrogance goes all the way back to his long, long road to finally being able to practic law. The one big case I know abuot - he lost big time and it seems he is trying to do now what he did then that didn't work!

CM has an ego and an attitude - I may not like it, but he has the 'street cred' to back it up. JB has an ego and is arrogant as all get out but as to 'street cred' not so much.

OK I edited out the info on his web site until I could the source. It starts here:

I didn't want to claim something I could not prove :)

At one point his Bio on his web site had info in it that were flat out lies. I don't remember all the details, but he was told to remove it by the Bar. I think he also had to take a class in ethics in advertising or something like that - but that part I am not sure of. Well, he put up a new web site and up and until recently that exact same bio was listed under his name. I just checked the web site a few minutes ago and now if you click on Attorney Profiles, nothing happens! I wonder if he got nailed again?

Didn't Mr Baez once quote his mother in open court...something along the lines of if you never ask, you never get? Guess he has no problem asking. :waitasec:

OH MY GAWD--that's IT!!! :shocked2: I can't believe we didn't figure this out before.....

BAEZ is the "Invisi-nanny"!!!!! :thud:

Seriously, folks, it would explain the Freudian slip he made about what date he was first retained by KC; that's the day he kidnapped Caylee! And why he wanted DC to call him first if he found anything... and why he was so "touchy" with KC--he was merely showing his gratitude to her for taking the fall.

(Wow, it really almost WAS an "Oooooooh, OK!" moment for me there for a second.)

Thank you for your post Lanie and may I add you forgot all the protesters who were standing around the Anthony house around the time ICA first got arrested. They probably had cameras with them and very likely parked up the street and took pictures of the scenery around the Anthony house on the way there and very likely showed them to their friends and relatives to show them how marshy the land was and blah blah blah. What about serving them with search and seizure? I mean how silly are we going to get with all of this? What jurist would believe JJ and whatever photos of a perhaps location over the experts who will testify about the water levels?

Or even all the parents of children at the school on Suburban. Why not serve each of them with a subpoena on the off chance that one or more of them took a picture of their child at the school or a school event and in the process captured the background area on Suburban where Caylee's remains were found?

Apart from presenting a weak factual basis that any "magic area" photos exist, and in light of Roy Kronk's current predicament, Im sure the disparaging remarks made by Baez about Jordan would also have resonated with Judge Perry.

During the course of this hearing, Baez referred to J Jordan as :
  • "an interesting individual",
  • "who on numerous occasions intentionally inserted himself"
  • "I think, for a proper investigation as to this witness, any potential bias he may have, or his credability"
  • "his pattern of conduct"
  • "he has done things intentionally to thwart the investigation of the defense"
  • "this individual has changed his story already"

Being an "interesting individual" didn't seem to bother Baez when alongside Ms Laura Buchanan, this defense team featured Mr Jordan as part of their "good faith" basis for suspecting TES were not being forthcoming with their records. Baez subsequently imo was thrown around 4000 bones. :waitasec:

[*]"an interesting individual", As interesting as JoyW? I think not...
[*]"who on numerous occasions intentionally inserted himself" Kinda in the same way LDB and AL inserted themselves, only they were not volunteering to look for a deceased 2 year-old, they were volunteering to make lotsa $$ on pub
[*]"I think, for a proper investigation as to this witness, any potential bias he may have, or his credability" :rolling: :rolling: JB said "credibility?
[*]"his pattern of conduct"I am going to pee my pants :rolling: :rolling:
[*]"he has done things intentionally to thwart the investigation of the defense" So have we here at WS....that's kinda what you do when you know you are dealing with people that are trying to cover up/toss blame on someone else for the murder of a precious baby girl. His stinkin "innocent" client was thwarting any chance investigators had of finding her beloved child.[*]"this individual has changed his story already" I need a drink. A strong drink. If JB wants to pick on witnesses that change their stories, perhaps he should start with George and Cynthia Anthony.

If I remember correctly he said it was ICA courtroom. I was personally offended for all the taxpayers of Florida - as I believe it is THEIR COURTROOM. CM - reminds me of those words KC spoke, "Waste, total waste."

I always thought that while the judge is sitting, it's his courtroom. Not a wise choice of words. jmo

Just noticed in JJ's 11/5/09 interview with LE they did ask him if "Helen" took any photos during the search on Suburban, and he volunteered in response that "nobody" was allowed to use their cell phones or cameras during that search.

He also gave LE his WS names at that time, so there was no excuse for JB not to have known about them before JJ's recent depo.

Good point! I had forgotten about that interview.

BBM - I am not sure I agree with this statement. I was a volunteer and I did come on WS and talk in general terms about the searches. We were told not to talk about exactly what we did and what areas were searched and of course not to take photos.

I remember reading some of JJ's posts and he did take a much more proactive role in searching than most of the volunteers, including going out on his own with others. Nothing wrong with that, HOWEVER, as JB said at the hearing, he did more than just search, he contacted LE with tips, suggestions, etc. called them out when he found things and most of all, started his own web site in regards to all this, aside from posting on Ws and other forums. He did post pictures of things that were found at Blanchard Park. While I don't want to make too much of a comparison - he did much the same things Joy W. did, but not quite as 'bizarrely' if I can use that term. He did contact LE and say he had searched Suburban and Caylee was not there. I hope I am not sounding too critical of JJ because I know he was doing it because he wanted to find Caylee - he made that clear from the beginning. However, he did take a few steps over the line from the rest of the people who volunteered their time to look for Caylee. My opinion only of course.

I agree. I think JJ probably now regrets going beyond just the normal volunteer searches and remaining anonymous. I remember members here at WS going on searches and many did comment on the searches they did, but their comments were more along the line of "spent the day searching", "it was hot and tiring", and "I'm glad I could help in any way." The comments were very general in nature, while JJ became more vocal and became known. To a certain extent, he did insert himself in the case beyond just searching. But, it seemed to be more an eager to help kind of inserting.

If JB is looking for a felon who has changed her story, he shouldn't have to look too far. :innocent:

:goodpost::Crown: Exactly what I think most of us were thinking but you, my friend memorialized it in excellent plain English! Bravo!

I think all these experts have already JB a verbal summary of what they are going to say. I think JB instructed them NOT to write reports.

As to the issues that JB talked about at today's hearing, I think he is frantically trying to figure out how many of his experts he can withdraw from the case and still have a semblance of a case left! I doubt he is going to call all of these people, and I would not be surprised to see him file a motion withdrawing a number of them from his witness list.

:goodpost: ITA!

Nothing gets past you.

Kinda a "bombshell", iykwim.

Wanted to thank you and bump this ..... just so *ahem* anyone that could REALLY use this would be sure to see it. ;) ;) ;)

Was just re-reading Dominic Casey's police interview (not done yet) and he states that he has 9-12 still photographs he took at the Suburban Drive location when he searched there in November 2008.

:waitasec: Why isn't the defense all over DC? He was the one who is on VIDEO searching the site... he admits he has still photographs of the site! Why don't they go and harrass him?

I think I already know the answer to that!
