That is a hysterical and spot on question. For that matter they can call the psychic crew with the van. It would be funny if all of these folks that the defense tries to pull into this matter had a Ugly Coping happy hour. What a jam packed bar that would be.So many private citizens having to hire lawwyers in that town. Now ten more. I hope the TES searchers detail that JL twisted what they were saying, much the Cindy way..

JB refers to needing this info to look into JJ's bias and THEN mentions any evidence he may have. So...a strategy tell was slipped in right there. We don't care if he has evidence. We want to prove bias. Hmmmmm

Then JB says..... "he changes his story, recording our own investigator intentionally". Does that imply that JB had his eggs in the JJ basket and now he's pizzed off that he won't play along?????

Then JB mentions needing to see the photos and blog entries as "the only way to see if that happened". See if what happened JB??

Well, Cindy was printing out stuff from WS at one time. I'm wondering why he hasn't just asked her to do that again, or get one of his cronies who reads here to do it, unless the issue is that he doesn't know JJ's name on here and that is driving him bonkers, lol. I know that JJ disclosed his screen name(s) on the various sites. I can't recall if it was during the defense depo or to LE. :waitasec:

Either way, JB has access to them because he admitted during the hearing that they had searched and read his posts.

I will NEVER understand why a certain blogger is allowed to attend every hearing as if he's a journalist. After all the trouble he has caused, he should not be allowed in the court room. Seems like it's just asking for more trouble.

Rules vary for a number of reasons ( jurisdiction, judge, federal v. state, etc..) but I've never been in a courtroom where spectators in the gallery were allowed to use laptops while court was in session. I don't like it, personally. Like you said, it is annoying...distracting. Plus, I find it disrespectful to the process.

Hopefully, the leash is loose for pre-trial and it will not be allowed during trial.

Funny how cultures vary. About 10 yrs. ago I did some work in Bay County, FL (panhandle). It was a very laid back atmosphere. I remember feeling the first time I walked into court and every other paralegal/assistant and the court reporter were all wearing shorts. lol Not cut-offs or gym shorts.... I mean they were nicely dressed...it was just culture shock for me. We were there during August and I came to appreciate it real quick.

I was under the impression, from the two hearings I attended, that the media were allowed to use their lap tops. Media were the only people I saw using them and the court even had a power strip running along the floor in one row to accomodate the media. I have no idea whether a spectator would get away with using a lap top. I guess it would depend on the alertness of the deputies assigned to the courtroom if it is not allowed. I have never seen any rule preventing it or heard anyone say no lap tops. I have heard them say turn off cell phones, but most people just put them on vibrate, I guess that is ok.
