And even if they did, he didn't disclose what the medical condition was...it's not like he said Werner Spitz is recovering from breast augmentation (no he's not, just kidding).

Plus it's already been in the news. It's public knowledge. I'm thinking JB could prepare for his case better if he just read the news once in a while. :loser:

Hee hee now I'm where he puts it on the desk and says he's not interested in the tweets. As if their beneath him. And he says condescendingly that she is traveling OUT OF THE COUNTRY as if she has been abroad this whole time. AND remember he made a federal case out of YM taking a weeks vacation with his family? Please. Oh and he acts as if the State is being so unreasonable as to ask for a report.

ETA: And when LDB put them on CMs desk, CM did pick them up and look at them at least.

Just finished watching the hearing today.
The only comment I have is that I believe Baez goes to bed at night wishing Judge Strickland was still there....
The irony...oh how rich!

I am finishing the 2nd video now. I can't get over that Baez seems so surprised that the extension to late February was denied. The man has been given extension after extension, then slapped with sanctions for not meeting the last deadline imposed.... It baffles me why on earth he even thought Judge Perry would entertain the idea. Seriously. It is nuts. Not to mention, he filed the request a couple of weeks ago and never even scheduled a hearing so that the request could be <not> considered.

I don't understand that man in the least. Even for a bad lawyer, it doesn't make sense.

I think, in JB not scheduling a hearing to review the Extension Motion, he was both precluding it being summarily denied and ... also buying time in the mean time. It backfired, once again. The level of the games map well to the rising level of desperation. Clutching at straws anyone? Treading water? Drowning?

Watching the video and I'm at the twitter part. HHJP looks like he wants to bust a gut when JA hands him the page and when JA says "home with her sick cat" John Allen does bust out laughing.

Are you serious?!! Man, maybe I do need to watch it. Is this what set off the JB Defensive Train? All huffy and puffy and kickin' sand? When you become the laughing stock, you really sink to a new low...

Can anyone see the moment in which CM turned his hearing aid OFF today? lol

I don't think the HIPAA laws apply. I think they apply only to medical practitioners.

UMMMMMMM :twocents: any possibility that this might be another area of the law that "the" Esquire :loser:: Pick one answer: a. cut most classes
b. slept thru classes
c. fornicated thru classes
d. flunked the course
e. all of the above

:truce: IF and WHEN the Bar absolves him of the most recent complaint and IF he makes it thru this case with his ticket "intact", he's running out of areas of practice. criminal...not so much ('cept his own!)

financial...duh, (see above)

estate planning..huh? (it's that plan ahead that foils him!)

civil anything...ummm, nope (he's NOT civilized, but does have thumbs!)

family law....D.I.V.O.R.C.E (from the DIY for yourself book)

MOB rep.....YEAH, there's a future!

Yes ... it is the pits when the SAO do their own homework and research and catch you out in your own half-truths and mis-truths ... and even have the audacity to toss it in your face.

Busted!

Judging by the way he kept checking his watch, I thought he had a time limit until his hearing aid batteries needed recharging.

Oh Yummy! Thanks! Was GA a no show? CA? I'm trying to make a mini-meal and I will certainly watch these! I told hubby to dvr it and he recorded ID instead...I knew I could count on you guys! Thanks so much!

No GA -- and read this: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6096840#post6096840"]2011.02.04 - Status Hearing - Page 23 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

Then in my post# 668 I ponder why John Allen was there today. Something hinky's up, IMHO.

I would just like to take a moment to thank everyone here. I began here with Caylee's case so one of the old timers, and although I don't post much here anymore, I read here every day. I've learned so much lately regarding the law and clinical laboratories and snark, sarcasm, and humor. And justice for this beautiful lil girl. Thanks for being here, every day, all of you.

Now, come over here and get your commemerative WWHHJPD bracelets....

I suspect none of the expert witnesses discussed today have a clue they are on board with this case.

Baez: The diary is speculative. She says I have no regrets. " I don't regret what? Not eating chocolate anymore?"

That's probably what ICA told JB she was writing about. He asked her, her eyes wandered over to her latest commissary purchase and she said chocolate, yeah, that's the ticket I was writing about chocolate.

You're probably spot on, cyberborg. I just cannot imagine being hit with sanctions and waltzing into the next hearing weeks later and STILL haven't complied in full. Total disrespect for the bench.

There is a method to HHJP's quiet madness though. I think that is one of the reasons he wanted the phone number to the lab. I think he is making sure the official record is crystal clear. He has no reason to trust JB and he knows he may be left with no other choice but to deny certain defense experts.

Somebody needs to warn Casey this ain't gonna be Mama & Daddy's living room she's gonna be sitting in come May.

From the sounds of it, he almost busted out an "I know you are but what am I."

Haven't seen it yet tho so maybe it's there...

I've said it before "Legal Sociopath". he was astonished that his song and dance for more time didn't work the way he wanted it today, because it has always worked in the past. he is EXACTLY like his "diabolically lying" client. A complete and utter narcissist to which rules only apply to others. He literally cannot grasp how or why this stuff applies to him. I think the oposing council and the judge are finally starting to figure out exactly what they are dealing with here. You will notice that neither is giving JB the typical lawyers presumption of truth or the benefit of any doubt anymore. Any even minute thing out of his mouth is being cross examined and double checked. Today in court was very very similar to KC's little trip to Universal studios with YM. And the sad thing is I really don't think he see's the noose tightening. I honestly don't think he grasps how far outside the norms of professional legal behavior he is. If he had even a mild clue we would never have seen today. He would have taken the hint at his last dressing down.
