I respect carbuff's opinions, but ITA. If anything, I truly feel that BD has the upper hand in that relationship and she makes use of her manipulation skills quite well with SA.

We have already discussed that BD may be trying to relive part of her youth she missed out on as a young mother. In the two plus years she has been with SA, her life seems to have went downhill in a big hurry. You can't live your life irresponsibly and not expect consequences.

The biggest responsibility that she failed in was parenting and that's why we're here today. All MOO

IMO, it's a 50/50 two-way street. I see a lot of dysfunction and co-dependency, along with lost youth on one side and mommy issues on the other.

Name calling is against TOS on websleuths and I don't want to violate TOS so I will say that this type of behavior exhibited by the parent of a missing child is idiotic. I'll even go so far as to say parents of missing children who engage in the behaviors that result in charges of obstruction in relation to their missing child's investigation deserve to have their arses handed to them.

JMHO.

I always love reading your posts Kat, you are so kind and diplomatic in the way you choose your words.

My brother was arrested for something stupid he did and he had to have his bond hearing was at a egg hatching farm. That was the magistrate's regular business! I've also been to a bond hearing held in a backyard.

Lol, it is twice the size of the town I live in. I don't know what the county seat of Mitchell is (and am too lazy to look it up :crazy:) but that is where she would be, so it might not be Colorado City.
IIRC, we have 'traffic court' on the first Saturday of every month here, and that is about it. We don't have a jail, so any arrests are taken to the county seat, and the trials are held there. Around here, it depends on how many are in custody whether an arraignment is held in a courtroom or an office.

County seat is Colorado City.

Considering some of the things we've heard about SA's behavior and temper, maybe she's glad to stay behind bars away from him. Just a thought.

Why hasn't she called SA to help her instead of Roger? This is just ridiculous. SA has prolly already set up a date for tonight and she's behind bars for lying for him....Where was he "hiding" when they found him inside her house, I wonder? Prolly not hiding at all and it was all her idea.

She's hanging onto a thread in SA that was really never there. She's either so very dependent on him emotionally or dependent on the drugs. She seems delusional at this point..........??? imo

This is the most tired and worn out I have seen her. It also looks like she has been crying a lot. She was interrogated for 2-1/2 hours (link upthread), so I wonder if something came out of that. It has been super quiet regarding SA today....

I live in a very small town, and I'm on a first name basis with the police chief here, along with just about everyone else.

Is she in Mitchell or Howard county custody?

ETA: I see she's in the custody of Mitchell county, so I would guess she is familiar with them not just because it's a small town, but also because she has been somewhat dealing with them for almost 3 months now in the disappearance of her daughter.

Seems her whole family has known the local LE all of BD's life. Don't forget that she was said to be in a VERY public profession at one time...and some young LE surely visited her place of employment. imo

that's true, but it could work the other way too, I guess. This couple truly baffles me...they are living through so much drama, that even if they're found innocent of any wrong doing, how will they ever adjust to life without the drama? I would think it would become an addiction of sorts and a way of life. Also, why won't they stay apart? Legally speaking, it's not good for either one of them. My only guess is that they need to keep tabs on each other, but I would think the cons of being together would far outweigh the pros. MOO.

Yeah, exactly. They're certainly bad for each other and bad for the kids. I kind of have the feeling that he controls her through the drug addiction, but they flog each other to a frenzy (and I don't mean that in a sexual sense).

Cn2souls you asked why BD was standing in front of a desk in that photo. I think I read yesterday that she would be arraigned in front of a justice of the peace. Please correct me guys if I am wrong.

I tried to quote your post but it shows up blank for some reason ...

I just checked Vinelink. She is still in custody.

I agree with you as far as how she looks, but it is almost a scary look to me. I don't think she has any affect at all. She looks freakishly vacant. jmo

I may be wrong but I thought Clint said that BD was taking pain pills (for no reason) when they were married. I think BD could find her drug of choice just fine on her own. Remember who she bought DD's car from ...

I agree Lanie. The dependency and dysfunction is way off the charts with this union.

Texas teen's mom charged, boyfriend searched

Toombs declined to say if officers were seeking blood, hair or saliva samples from Adkins.

"I'm not going to get into that," the sheriff said. "It could be that or it could be something he had on him."

note: I wonder if they wanted to take another look at his cell phone as well?

You all need to remember that according to Billie, the most important thing is "people not slandering her."

Not so much tired and/or crying ...... she looks STRUNG out. just saying....

I completely agree! I think this is much much more than "just pills". I have thought for a long time that she's on other drugs (one in particular comes to mind, IMO).

And if she has been crying we all know it's for HERSELF! Where were all these tears when Hailey went missing?

Was she in detox? It's stated in this video. Meaning she's probably going through withdrawals from something and I don't think it's cigarettes. http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=353186

When an arrestee is brought into the Booking area, if they appear to be incapacitated by either drugs or alcohol they can be placed in detox. From the video clip we saw of Billie at the jail, she did not appear to be incapacitated. What I think is that she did not want to be videotaped while waiting to be booked. The detox cell would be a safe and private place to hold her until she could be booked.

*In our state an arrestee can be placed on a bench or in a holding cell for up to 6 hours before being booked.

*Earlier in the thread someone was mentioning about a body cavity search. This is never done. All that can be done is to make the arrestee squat and cough, bend and spread. They willl be showered and have to use de-licing shampoo before dressing out in jail uniform.

I would imagine that Billie was placed in a cell by herself because of being high profile.

I was a Booking/Classification Lieutenant, and most all jail or correctional facilities follow pretty much the same procedures, IMO. If Billie did have a Hailey tattoo, it would be notated when being booked on AFIS. There would be a description of the tattoo and the location of it.

I am so happy about Billie's arrest. I found out through emails, LOL, then came here to read as much as I could before having to go to bed! I am just now catching up.

I don't think SA abuses Billie. I think they abuse eachother and mistake that as passion. She's so blinded by him, it's just sick. Their relationship is toxic and now it's affected
this innocent, beautiful little girl.
