I personally do think a PI would uncover information. A PI does not have to build a case for court.

...I dont think the PI would have to come up with far away witnesses who claim this or that. All his drama is right there in CC.

That's true, and I bet the defense will use that strategy as well. Use a PI to go back over every story from Colorado City, even the ones that don't fit the timeline or which don't fit the facts we have.

But again, I don't personally feel that is in Hailey's best interest, only BD's or SA's.

In the Anthony case in Florida, PI's probably had knowledge of the general location of Caylee's body long before she was officially discovered, but they withheld it. Some of that is only just now coming out in court and it's just horrible!

JMOO :cow: :cow: :cow:

I don't want to sound harsh, but BD's defense attorney isn't going to try and find Hailey. That is not his job. Instead, he is probably hoping Hailey is never found because that would mean less evidence to convict his client, less evidence he would have to refute if BD had anything to do with it.

So true the exculpatory evidence is coming in at the Casey trial. Hiring a PI would be wonderful if Billie Dunn really wanted to find her child. But finding her child may land her in jail. I have my doubts that she wants to do that.

She has exhibited no forward movement in cooperating with the investigation while continuing to hang out with the suspect.

Not to be anything other then interested -what doesnt fit the facts? what facts do we have?

O/T
I think we need a thread for Does LE have enough evidence to bring SA to trial for Haileys case. I thought about what they MIGHT have and shocked myself.
A psuedo SA case building thread or something.

Also I dont follow Caylee's case. I do remember that LE in her case had gotten at least 2 phone calls about that area themselves. FWIW.

I still want to know how she's paying for a lawyer. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she has one, but how is she affording him? Have they said if he's doing this pro bono?

And those are going to be some quiet interviews if her lawyer is there. Or maybe not. I don't think he realizes who he's representing just yet. This could get interesting.

This lawyer has already made a statement to the press regarding SA back in January. He just wants the free publicity and already tried to insert himself in it back then. Hence the reason why he'll let BD continue to do interviews as long as he is there on the news right along with her.

Not much of a workload for him as far as the misdemeanors are concerned, but plenty of publicity if he can continue to make statements in the press on her behalf.

And should she be charged with anything in relation to Hailey's disappearance, he's already right there and will be charging the taxpayers for his services.

Well Clint may want to consider it then. Or any other person who could afford to , I wish I could afford it.

I will be very surprised if Billie is the one that made the call to Mr. Young and not the other way around.
He has been following this case. IMO he is her lawyer pro bono.

"John’s mission is to fight the fight that others, for whatever reason, cannot fight for themselves and to insure that every client— whether hired or appointed by a court—receives the zealous, hard fought defense that they deserve".

It is absolutely true that Billie's lawyer won't be looking for Hailey.

I wish Clint would come back to the forefront, and not just as it pertains to trafficking, as I think the chances of that having happened are really, really slim. He needs to be talking to police everyday about whatever he knows about Billie and SA, forgetting all loyalties except those for Hailey.

(The grammar and spelling in the reporting of this case are driving me insane.)

I would really like them to tell us what his investigators have learned in Haileys missing person case and NOT in Billie Dunns relationship. JMO.
LE does remember this is not about Billie Dunn right ? Clint needs to get Haileys Name back out there before people forget this is not about SA's 🤬🤬🤬🤬 collection and his girlfriends(plural) sex tapes. IMO.

Sadly, this is about Shawn's sex tapes and his girlfriends sex tapes. There may very well be clues about what happened to Hailey in that stuff.

Shawn's sick obsession with child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and violent sexual imagery has a real bearing in this case. Why would LE go searching for a random, mystery intruder when the last guy to see her is addicted to child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and carries it around on flash drives constantly.

Why would they think someone grabbed her in the 3 minute window of time between the moment she left her home and the time it would take to get to her dad's house, IF SHE SPENT THE PAST HOUR AND A HALF WITH A SEX ADDICT WHO LIKED LITTLE GIRLS?

"I don't know everything about the three charges she is facing, but the real shame is that it appears this case has become a 'whodunit' rather than a 'where's Hailey,'" Young said.

BBM. By all means Mr Young. Lets just overlook the person(s) responsible for Hailey's disappearance. God forbid we focus on the person(s) who can tell us exactly where Hailey is. So lets just look for missing and most likely dead crime victims and go no further so the perps and continue to live in our society and continue to victimize. Sheesh!

[Young] ...there's a lot to be explained. For example, he said: Whose idea was it to file the no trespassing order against the only suspect in the case and Dunn's former live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.
"There was some discussion with law enforcement that being anyway associated with this person was somehow going to taint her and somehow get her charged with a crime," Young said.
This may suggest why Mitchell County Sheriff Partick Toombs announced that Adkins and Dunn were spotted together over the weekend, he said.
===========================================

So according to the new attorney, associating with Shawn should not 'taint' Billie in any way. And it should not affect her relationship with Law Enforcement.

So is he going to tout Shawn's innocence as well ? Is he going to start professing the child trafficking scenario too?

Not to be anything other then interested -what doesnt fit the facts? what facts do we have?

There were sightings that didn't fit the police timeline so they were either dismissed or just never confirmed in any meaningful way, so they stayed in the realm of rumors.

But that won't bother the Defense because all they want to do is raise doubt that BD had anything to do with Hailey's disappearance.

Well Clint may want to consider it then. Or any other person who could afford to , I wish I could afford it.

I guess not everyone here is assuming that the police are on the wrong track. We don't know everything they have.

Hiring a PI can be a money drain. In the Madelaine McCann case they had a PI firm travelling all over the world pointing to children who looked like Madelaine, although sadly every lead was an embarassing mistake. But hey - it actually worked out well for the parents because they got off scott free and their child is still missing. Any Defense would appreciate that outcome.

So it won't surprise me at all if this guy hires a PI for Billie Dunn. I just wouldn't expect the truth to come out due to that type of investigation.

snipped from : http://www.ktxs.com/news/27270724/detail.html

There was also a published report that Dunn was no longer speaking to the media.

However, Young corrected that statement by saying she will continue doing interviews – but only if her legal counsel is also there.

:violin:

I can't wait to see how the attorney is going to "spin" this ...

I wonder if Billie is aware that she is going to continue to give interviews?

And he cares about this why?? So depending upon what the search warrant was for may be a reason for her to lie about him being there? I see no bearing on this at all.

Young said he has yet to see the search warrant that investigators were carrying out when looking for Adkins the night Dunn allegedly lied about where he was.

I'm quietly tiptoeing out the back door because what I really want to say regarding BD hiring an attorney would put me in permanent TO.

Where and who is fighting for justice for HD besides LE?

I know what you mean about the warrant baloney. AS IF it means she didn't have to be truthful because of which kind of warrant they had for Shawn.

This slick lawyer is going to give us more double speak. He is NOT about to help find Hailey. He will bring Hailey ' sightings' to the forefront. I remember all of the Caylee sightings the Anthony's touted on the various talkshows too.

Oh, so this is SA's lawyer also being BD's lawyer? Won't that be a huge conflict of interest if they're both charged with Hailey's disappearance down the road? Or is he just some lawyer that made a comment about SA back in January, but wasn't representing SA at the time? Well, if he's in it for the publicty, ha ha, good luck with that one. I'd like to introduce him to Jose Baez in Florida.

Or worse, pin it on the person who actually finds Hailey, ala Kronk finding poor Caylee Anthony. Hailey needs to be found, but woe be to the unlucky citizen or searcher that finds her before LE does. I have the feeling this lawyer would welcome someone else to distract from his client's involvement.

He is not SA's lawyer. He made a random comment in the press saying that it was a good thing for SA to have retained his lawyer back in January when he failed that polygraph.

Why he was even commenting is beyond me. Is he the BigCountryHomepage "go to" lawyer when they are writing an article? I'd say he was just trying to get his name in the news relating to this case back then. And since BD had also failed her polygraph, I guess it's possible that he offered her his services back then.

But then neither SA nor BD seemed to like the advice that SA's lawyer was giving him, which was for him not to talk to her, so it appears as though SA has either fired his lawyer or his lawyer bailed some time ago and SA and BD were going to go this on their own without pesky lawyers butting into their awesome relationship. So it appears now that SA is without a lawyer and this John Young is going to represent BD and is not going to advise BD to stay away from SA. In fact he seems to be questioning why LE would want her to distance himself from him. And he seems to be giving BD advice to pass on to SA.

It's all a big conflict IMO.
