Pete seemed very intent that the family would not be allowed in to disrupt the news conference.

Do we know what members of the family were there?

Why do you think they were there???

:cow: :cow: :cow:

In my opinion, I do NOT believe LE and Pete trust "anyone" -- and I mean "anyone" and "everyone" in Hailey's family and that includes any of their relatives, friends, associates ...

Mods -- I hope I do not say something wrong here so I will say it as "politely" as I can.

Let's look at some of the facts here:

Both of Hailey's parents have been incarcerated since she was missing ... for Billie drug charges, hindering an investigation, lying to LE ... Clint was incarcerated ...

Billie's mother was incarcerated for some type of drug charge ...

Hailey's mother's live-in BF was named early on as a suspect/poi in the case ... in addition to being named a suspect, searches and findings of "child 🤬🤬🤬🤬" on computers at his family's homes and possibly memory sticks on Billie's home ...

Shawn has an "addiction" to slasher/horror movies as well as 🤬🤬🤬🤬 ... videos of SA in horror masks .... videos of bongs and smoking weed ...

You know what I mean ...

Okay ... so this group is not "The Brady Bunch" ...

I think LE has had ENOUGH of this bunch ... and this morning was to send them a "Message" ...

I truly believe that SOMEONE in the family knows "something" and LE wants that "something".

Poor Hailey ... so sad for this young lady ... hopefully they will find her soon.

KTXS reports that PK met with family members Wednesday to explain to them what law enfocement authorities believe to be true concerning Hailey. However, he pointed out that nothing is confirmed.

It never names the family members in attendance. BD? CD and his side?

Ambiguous.

Yeah he said during the live TV interview after the press conference we watched was over with, that he went out and talked to the family...

  • #44
Is it possible that LE isn't sharing as much with Clint because he still is in contact with Billie? Not saying he is, just saying maybe they feel they can't trust him to not confide in or confront Billie....or punch someone's lights out.

Clint, unless he's huddling up with a suspect, should have been given the info first, before us or anyone else. If he spills what he knows then shut it down with him, but this is his daughter that he's helped look for, cried for, and is living a nightmare over. It's obvious that even though he wasn't a perfect parent that he was the best parent HD had, IMO! I just can't help thinking they LE is afraid that BD is pulling the strings on him like a puppet master.

I'm going to guess that it was CDs family. Pk admitted that they hadn't talked directly to cd about the presser, so it makes sense that if family were there and were angry, it would be CDs family, as they were pretty much blindsided, it sounds like.

Also, CD has stated in the past that LE keeps him in the dark, they don't tell him anything. So I can see him and his family getting darn angry about this presser, the statements earlier about how HD is believed (by Pk? By LE? By someone) to be deceased, and not having been told it was all coming, and having been previously kept in the dark too.

Very interesting............. per Big Country Homepage

Update: Hailey's mother, Billie Dunn, is waiting to hear from her lawyer on whether or not she will respond to today's press conference.

OMG she wants to taalllllkkkk!

I think Clint has shown himself to be far too involved in Billie's welfare for LE to trust him. If he also had an attorney, maybe they would speak to him/her, although I don't really get that part. Either inform both parents, or neither, of certain info.
But I can see why LE is leery of keeping Clint informed...he has defended Billie and even SA at various turns.

Not saying this is what's happening in this case, but many times in these types of cases, when the parents are divorced or separated or at odds with each other, LE will go extra lengths NOT to show favoritism towards one parent over the other. Even if one is a POI and the other is not, they do not want to come across as being partial because it can cause a lot of problems in the future. LE always has to try to be neutral, at least publicly.

Is she...or is her lawyer? This should be interesting.

They announced the same thing in the case of Laci Peterson -- turned out they were right. :(

I know LE has tons more information than we do, otherwise they wouldn't say such a thing.

Now all the searchers have to do is find her, or heaven forbid, some stranger happens upon her.

My heart goes out to you Hailey - wherever you may be.

Well, the let's face the facts here for a moment and this is in no way intended to bash Clint. Clint wants his daughter back, of that I'm certain. Clint has attempted to search for his daughter, of that I'm certain. That said, Clint doesn't have the greatest of reputations. He's an admitted drug abuser himself and has been arrested for it. He also tends to support Billie as evidenced by comments that he has had made in the past, the most recent of which came from his brother-in-law, Richy Cooper, stating that he wouldn't bash Billie because Clint doesn't want anyone to talk bad about her. Perhaps LE feels that Clint is too emotionally invested in his relationship with Billie especially considering that he didn't pitch an absolute fit (which I'm glad that he didn't) when it was announced that there was child 🤬🤬🤬🤬/bestiality found in the home where his daughter lived. I think that Clint's past history and his actions to date regarding Billie Dunn have kept him out of the loop as far as LE is concerned.

Perhaps if Clint retained an attorney to assist him with dealing with LE, that might solve the problem.

:waitasec:

I wonder if Billie called the press ... (or maybe the press called Billie) ?

Billie loves to talk ... and she is going to be very "disappointed" if her lawyer says NO ...

But seriously ... I hope Billie or her attorney will speak ... I would just love to hear the "spin" on today's presser ...

Clint has publically stated that him and Billie arent on the same page and it doesnt sound like they have good communication going on. Why on earth would they think her lawyer is going to call him and tell him? Unless he was representing both of them and I dont see that.

Clint says that sometimes...

I think he only needs to think of Hailey and forget about Billie. She is not thinking of him or his feelings and never has, apparently.

It has always struck me as strange that it appeared LE isn't working closer with Clint. And the comment by PK today kind of confirms that they aren't. I have thought maybe, just maybe, they are closer than it appears and it's just being kept quiet, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Seriously, PK couldn't take 5 minutes to give Clint a heads up himself? He expected an attorney that is representing BD to make sure he knew?

Maybe LE arent working with PK either..

That tells me she wasn't there because she would have found the first reporter nearest to her and said something. She just can't help herself. And I almost feel bad for her lawyer. She's going to be asking him every two seconds like a kid, "Can I talk now? Can I talk now? Can I talk now?"

I agree. And let's not forget that Clint and Billie are still legally married to each other.

Clint needs to retain an attorney to assist him in getting a divorce, IMO.

Yes I think the family were there and I think the way the family was treated was unproffessional as well as the attending LE agent. They should have been told and not though Billies lawyers.

There is very strong animosity (imo) between LE and Hailey's family and it gets worse everyday.

I Hope Clint is speaking with a victim rights advocate. They may be able to help with the LE dept and getting case imformation.

PARTICULARLY since the divorce is not yet final, it may be in Clint's best interests not to "bad-mouth" the mother of his children during the process, REGARDLESS of how things APPEAR. Unless she is charged with a related crime, he's probably being pretty smart.
