I must be missing something because I don't understand the relevance in the state asking the potential jurors if they have pets, and if they have ever had pets in the past.

Does anyone else know why this is so important?

I think it may have something to do with his psyche as pertaining to if he has ever taken care of anyone (no children). If you have pets, you love them and can relate to how it is to loose them. ? Not sure though. ?

I think it is because they are going to try and explain the chloroform searches as being "chlorophyll" searches as CA said because her dogs were throwing up all the time...something like that

Why fill out a questionnaire if they're going to go through all this nonsense! 2-3 hours for each juror?

I don't recall any other defendant on the universe ever receiving such special treatment. I am absolutely upset about the waste of the tax dollars here. I think the judge should give each side 20 minutes - period!

I believe JB asked this juror if LE testified to a fact would he believe the officer. If it is a fact and not opinion why would anyone not believe the testimony. Fact may not be truth but there is a reason to back up a fact.
