Sounds like Vincent may be leading up to Vass sometime next week?

i really hate to say this, but i think the jury may disregard the banding issue

not that that will matter

in the end

imo

That's fine. There is a lot more evidence.

So why was Karen Lowe on the stand for HOURS? Was there a million and one sidebars or something? I read about the jury being in and out like pop tarts today? How ridiculous! And oh my, we're going to talk about the air sample now...

Hi everyone, been lurking on WS for awhile but have never posted and just recently got caught up in this trial.

I hate to go back to the hair with the band since we are on a new witness, but could they test that hair to see if it had chlorine absorbed in it? Assuming thats possible. I feel like I've asked a dumb question hehe.

  • #1,047
The air sample was shipped to Oak Ridge Laboratory.

  • #1,048
Vincent identifying evidence bags of air samples and stain samples

LDB: different types samples from car
MV: tests for blood and air samples
LDB: pieces from trunk
MV: stain from carpet
LDB: air samples from the trunk - begin on July 21, 2008
---yes---

MV:explaining how air samples were collected - 1st tried syringe without opening trunk - then opened trunk (slightly) used syringe - then put filter and closed trunk to see if filter absorbed the air

Ooh, does this mean Dr. Vass is next?

  • #1,051
The can of air!

  • #1,052
Linda is so confident and reassuring. I feel my blood pressure lowering.

You could possibly find hair in mine because I put my bags in there when I travel --which includes curing iron, hair brush etc.

Yes, and I just edited my post above to say that if there was hair found in my trunk it would NOT have the "DEATH BANDING" on it because I am here reading and typing on WS ...

:waitasec:

I hope this does NOT sound "crazy" but if I went and checked the "Trunk" of my car right now, I do NOT think I would find ONE HAIR FROM MY HEAD in the TRUNk !

I might find some specks of dirt and but there would be NO HAIR ...

I hope that made sense ...
:banghead:

ETA: IF .. a BIG IF ... there was a hair in my trunk -- it would have no "death banding" on it because I am still here reading and typing away on WS ...

This is "common sense" JB ... COMMON SENSE ...

I think a hair being in the trunk could happen - if you're the type of person to throw your gym clothes, a hat you wear at the park, etc in the back...it would make sense to find hairs. But if you're dead, you aren't doing any of the above.

I wouldn't be surprised to find hair in the trunk - hair on our clothing could easily fall into the trunk when opening/closing/putting things into the trunk. But hair with decomp is a whole nother problem.

Vincent showing jury can sample taken 7/22/08 shipped to Oakridge Lab

  • #1,059
This witness is experienced and intelligent! :)
(sorry, I didn't hear his name)

ETA~ He is Mike Vincent with OSCO

Yes but in 1968 he may have failed a science exam and so JB will attempt to disqualify him.:banghead:

I lied...just one comment:

If the state opens those canisters for the jury to smell, and it's horrific, I think that is definitely going to sway the jury wrt JB's theory that air quality testing is "junk science".
