The can of air!

Oh, how I wish that someone walking that can back to evidence table would trip, fall against the defense table and the can "accidentally" open! LOL!

Item IR looks like a small paint can.

Dr. Michael Sigmond collected the air

filter placed in trunk for 40 minutes and than samples were collected

Hi everyone, been lurking on WS for awhile but have never posted and just recently got caught up in this trial.

I hate to go back to the hair with the band since we are on a new witness, but could they test that hair to see if it had chlorine absorbed in it? Assuming thats possible. I feel like I've asked a dumb question hehe.

From what I remember I think that there wasn't anything left of the sample aside from the banding part that could be used for testing. The defense was angry about this IIRC.

WELCOME!!!

Welcome aboard! Glad you decided to post and hope to hear more from you!
PS: There's no such thing as a dumb question - the only dumb question is the one not asked....

The only thing they should do with that can is have ICA smell it and ask her if that was the smell she remembered from her car................

Dr. MIchael Sigmund took air samples Vincent observed 7/23/08- put filters in trunk for 40 minutes and then took filters and put them in Tevlar bags and shipped them to Oakridge

I like that this guy is presenting the collection of the air samples....he is a very down to earth character that can easily be followed. "we hang a filter here, da da da there and collect the sample" ....perfect ! He's like Joe Anybody.

Maybe for later discussion......at 11:57 the camera panned the table full of evidence bags, and it looked like a very large photo, B&W laying there at the top of the table closer to HHBP. I thought it looked like a large picture of the enhanced stain of the trunk liner. I'll have to find a video of this later to see better. But I'm saying, I hope they show such evidence.

Go look. Please. I would, but I ride a bike. :)

:floorlaugh: I will check and let ya'll know ... but I know there will NOT be any "death bands" on the hairs ...

I should have said that on my first post ... but I edited ...

Hey Broderick!

Florida v Huggins... I will provide a snippet of the facts and the link where you may read more, if you wish. IMO, he was not playing "fast and loose" with the facts.

"The next morning, Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton, who was then prosecuting Defendant's case in Jacksonville, spoke with Mr. Ausley via telephone.   After his conversation with Mr. Ausley, Mr. Ashton determined that Mr. Ausley's name had been given to Defendant in lead sheet 302, Mr. Ausley's statement did not support what he believed the defense's theory of the case would be, and Mr. Ausley's statement was of little value.   Mr. Ashton decided not to disclose the tape recorded statement or the information contained therein to Defendant.   Mr. Ashton attended trial that day and did not disclose the fact that he had been contacted by Mr. Ausley to the Court or to the defense counsel.   The trial concluded that same week."

Interesting read. Thanks.

Ok thank you Insomnia Momma!! I apologize, I am still trying to educate myself on the details of this case since I've started watching the trial

Would air actually maintain its originally odor without being affected by the material the can is made out of?

Jada - Anthony's used something other than chlorine in the pool...thus no chlorine to be tested in Caylee's hair.

It wasn't a mistake, it was divine intervention. And I don't think science can mix up life and death.

IMO, divine intervention would have supplied a lot more than just one hair.

Not necessarily, SD, respectfully. Divine intervention does as Divine will do, and will not be dictated by mortal beliefs. JMO

I agree. I also like how he holds up the item, points out the evidence tape, his signature, etc. all while looking at the jury. Makes things really easy to follow. I wonder how JB is going to try and trip him up. I don't think that will happen.

I like how this guy "talks in pictures" if you know what I mean! He should be a teacher. He would be great!
