This witness will shoot down the comment ICA made to detectives when she stated that she talked to Cayleee for about a minute/moment and Caylee supposely said "Hi Mommy" Such BS.

Okay, so a SIM card is a device used to store and transfer info from phone to phone? Is that right?

  • #424
When LDB asked the witness what a sim card was, ICA gave an "Oh plz!" look. :giggle: She must think they are sooooo stupid! :giggle:

yep - about the size of a small thumb nail - plastic thing - you probably have one in your phone - stores data

She only extracts the data. She then gives it to the other detectives to decipher what is relevant!

  • #432
SO job is to extract data to a report....other detectives are the ones who USE the data for investigation.

  • #433
Cellbright produces a web-based report of the findings extracted. Osborne wasn't sure what was relevant at the time - just gave it to the detectives.

  • #434
So, there WAS no tranfering of info via this sim card? That's what I'm getting from this.

#caseyanthonytrial Juror two typical emotionless, attentive expression. 17 has arms folded. Always appears somewhat skeptical.

It concerns me that she didn't remember if the phone had a sim card and then had to look to see if the records of the phone and the sim card had the same info. She had to look it up...ugh...how could she not remember that?

LDB: "What information, if any were you able to derive from that phone through the initial use of the tool that you had mentioned?"

SO: "The initial data extracted from that Nokia phone was simply the contact list and several music files."

LDB: "Do you have an opinion as to why that is the only information that could be retrieved from the phone?"

I believe at that time the limitations of my Cell Bright hardware device that I was using to extract the data was not capable of fully extracting the data available on that particular phone.

LDB: "What is a sim card?"

SO: "Um, it's a unique identifier, that little chip card that goes in the back of some cellular phones that allows the phone to connect to the network."

(cut to commercial and back)

SO: "The serial number of the computer C-Charlie, N-November, D-Delta, 6430 R-Romeo, K-Kilo, H-Hotel."

LDB: "Did you receive a desktop computer as well?"

SO: "Yes, meaning a floor model computer that sits on the floor of the home? Yes, I did."

LDB: "Do you recall or do the records of the Orange County Sheriff reflect the serial number of the desktop that you received?"

SO: "Yes, I have that information."

LDB: "Okay, could you provide that please."

SO: "The serial number of the HP home computer was M-Mike, X-X Ray, M-Mike, 4100 H-Hotel, Y-Yankee, L-Lima."

Yuri will probably be recalled to interpret the data this tech extracted. ICA kept saying that the "other" phone (blackjack) held data on the exact phone and that info had not been copied to the SIM card.
