A couple jurors (11 & 12) look amused by the back and forth. A couple (5 & 17) look annoyed. The others have no reaction.

Thank you MissJames! :blowkiss:

OT I quit smoking 8 months ago (after a decades long habit) and flippin' Baez is making me want one so bad today LOL Hah!

Don't Baez isn't worth it. Remind yourself if you pick up just one you will be right back. I quit for 8 mo's once and went back.... :( So if I must I will smoke one for ya!

"Expert in being able to identify issues on all types of dna" - WTH does that mean?

I think Baez is anxious to break for lunch so he can address those CD's the prosecution gave him earlier...

Dr. E....testified in US twice by defense and once by LE - setting up a lab in Colorado - Netherlands lab - interpretation and statistics and whole field....actual recovery of evidence thru the court you have received training....accredited training? part of accrediation procedure - experience in dna analysis...reporting officer - you have know all about dna - in Netherlands lab became so big .... you don't have to process....reporting done by officer - lab techs process the evidence....fair to say receive training on all aspects of dna - over 20 years - certified 70 times in Netherlands and 3 times in US - certify dna analysis -

JB proposes expert witness
JA same objection

HHBP - witness will be allowed as an expert in dna analysis

break for lunch

so what I am getting from this is that this guy is trying to open up a lab and very well may just testify in favor of the defense in order to be recognized as an expert in a high profile case?

If I were on the jury I would be wondering why this is such struggle with the defense trying to present their case and not so witht he state.

MO

If I were a jury I would not consider this guy much of an expert. I don't think I would believe much of what he says either.

Baez never uses Your Honor...only Judge to me is so disrespectful...time for lunch recess...back at 1:30....

SIDEBAR OVER at 11:49

DIRECT EXAMINATION OF RICHARD EIKELENBOOM BY JB:

OBJECTION SUSTAINED

He has given testimony in US. State of Colorado - three times, twice by Defense, once by LE

Setting up lab in Colorado

His National Lab at Netherlands Forensic Institute training included DNA.

He has experience in all different aspects of DNA received in his training for reporting officer.

JB submitted expert in DNA analsys. JA objected.

HHJBP - witness is accepted.

Lunch recess (11:53)

The way JP just answered JB's question about breaking for lunch, JB has to be willfully blind if he doesn't get just how unhappy the judge is with him. Made me scared!

Lunch break for the jurors... now we get to hear JB's issues with the two DVD's... this will be fun!

This "Dr" has less than the equivalent of a masters degree. How is that?

Baez raising issue with court.

At least this guy seems fairly pleasant. Also, there's a possibility he won't try to lie when JA questions him. (Although he did say he met with Baez on Saturday to see what direction they were to go in.)
