I just commented on the same thing. I remember the last time she was up, I asked when she would break out into "Happy Birthday, Mr. President"

I was remembering that post! It seems to come and go - there are some words that sound wispy-er than others.

After listening to DS....does she mean to sound like she has no idea what she is doing? Now she is starting to sound a little 'baby girl voice'....IMO IYKWIM..

I don't dislike her. I think she cuts straight to the chase, which is a refreshing change from JB and CM, imo.

ICA's face says (to me) "Oh no, another "old" witness!" She was smirking as Dr. Bock walked in!

Ahhh, she is a Dukie! (Go Blue Devils!)

:floorlaugh: If they are old enough to work, they are old enough to make their own lunch Girlfriend! You have other things to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!:great:

I can't help it! I spoil them rotten:fence: (They just happen to be the sweetest sons of the sweetest man God ever put on the planet. AND they let me watch all the trials I want and even pretend to be interested in it when I talk about it :floorlaugh: )

Is the entire defense trying for ineffective counsel? Because the whole team has to be lacking.IIRC.

I did not expect DS to be as technologically impaired as JB.:twocents:

Wouldn't a professional think it's imp to learn how to use the hi-tech equipment BEFORE their first time in front of the jury? I guess she's been too busy baby-sitting ICA=no time.

Jane Bock was NOT familiar with plants in this region. She specializes in botany in the Western US.

Hope JA asks her about that too.

BTW....she was able to determine a drowning wasn't an accident based on botanical materials found in a victims lungs.

Again....all linked in the Jane Bock thread.

Casey looks to me like she just doesn't care that much any more.

Bock - I taught for 30 or 40 years. Well, which is it? Ten years diff is quite a span.

BBM

:floorlaugh:

Their bates stamp numbers are different. I don't understand that. I thought the bates stamp was put on the report when the originator copied them. I recently did a deposition and he kept asking me to look at the bates stamp. I finally said 'wtheck is that?" and my lawyer had to teach me. The guy that deposed me was JB's brother from another mother, I'm sure of it.

While I think most of us would prefer her to JB or CM, we have also heard her in other hearings and know that is NOT her normal speaking voice, thus it pees us off at the theatrics:banghead:

I think the original poster was talking about Jennifer Welch and not DS.

I hope JA is firm, but gentle with Dr. Bock. After his dismantling of Dr. Spitz, as restrained as Ashton was, he needs to be careful that he does not come across to the jurors as promoting "elder abuse" so to speak.

Even if his cross highlights valid rubuttal information, it could be lost on the jurors (especially the seniors such as #4) if he appears to be "mean".

Speaking of haircuts .... looks like Cindy's gotten her hair cut, also. Looks good!

Since we can't see the photos that were published to the jury Mendara I can only guess that there are some photos that would make it appear as if ground clutter/foilage was moved---and thereby open up the possibility that the remains were moved prior to documenting. (remember the argument that Caylee's remains showed to the DT witness she decomposed while resting on her left side? and yet her skull wasnt documented as found in that postion?) just the DT trying to set up reasonable doubt as to the SA's theory. Not a very good job of it, but if the DT is doing what I think they are, then they have to do this. This is a DP case.

ALL my Speculation about DT this morning so far.

If this is the case and I am on the jury, I really don't care if stuff was moved, I would assume things were moved to investigate, so I would be annoyed by all of this. If they even get it.

For some reason, I don't get, DCS voice irritates me. To no end. It seems fine, maybe her sugary sweet voice, and enunciation. I don't know.
Me too, because her sugary sweet voice sounds fake to me, like the voice someone uses while giving a back-handed compliment, IMO.

What a load of ... No one had any trouble hearing her. Now, her "P" words are booming. This is another crappy DT strategy...
